Special Spooktacular EU contest winner chosen!
Our tricksy Mistress of the Web has chosen yet another Spooktacular winner from one of her contests that she had hidden amongst the comments! This one was especially for our EU collectors, and she has chosen a spooky prize from the EU warehouse for the lucky winner. The prize is a long SOLD OUT Silver Screen Phantom of the Opera 12-inch figure! The contest can be found [Here]. The potential winner, randomly chosen from those EU collectors who left their comments for her, is the commenter who posted under the name ‘Rotwang’! This winner will be contacted by email for confirmation and added to the Spooktacular winners list! [Click Here to view Winners]

Did you whine like a Skywalker?
During our recent Spooktacular event, we challenged our Star Wars collectors to give us a call on our pod cast line and ‘Whine like a Skywalker.’ Well, we only had this competition up for about a day and did not really think we could entice all that many people to tussle over Luke Skywalker and Sith Apprentice Anakin 12-inch figures. We had anticipated to announce the winner of this little challenge on Tuesday, October 31st, however, we were pummeled with over 150 callers leaving over three hours of whining, yelling, acting and singing renditions of all sorts of things. We are only half way through the judging procedure, having just survived a ten minute rendition of ‘Whine like a Skywalker – Bohemian Rapsody’ complete with wacky humming, as well as someone acting out an entire section of A New Hope – all characters included. Our mass Sideshow cry is “Help me, Obi-wan Kenobi!” We plead for mercy and patience as we complete the rest of the judging. Please expect the winners to be announced in the next podcast episode along with clips of the winning whines. We will even include the entries we have categorized as “What the hell was that?!” [Learn about the Contest]

Yes, we have even more winners!
We have chosen a few winners out of those collectors who submitted costume and collection photos during Spooktacular 2006! Each of the following costumers will receive a Metaluna Mutant 12-inch figure: V. Williamson as Ghost Rider, D. Bentz as Leatherface, and J. Church as Michael Myers. Plus, each of the following collectors will receive a Vampire Buffy 12-inch figure: D. Henrichs for having a ton of fun, R. Pauluzzi for the complete set-up, and S. Korman for his dedication to Spooktacular – holy crap, look at all those browser windows (not to mention all the diet soda)!!
These winners will be contacted and added to the Spooktacular Winners List. Thanks to everyone who submitted photos, they were all excellent and more than a few provided us with some laughs and smiles!
Final Scavenger Hunt winner list!
The Spooktacular 2006 Scavenger Hunt is now completely over! Congratulations to the overall winner, K. Equipado from Chula Vista, CA, whose winning submission came through at 4:05:24 (PT) – pretty impressive, considering that the final clue was posted at 4:00! The runner-up winners have now been randomly chosen from all correct submissions received prior to 11:59 PM (PT) on October 31st, 2006. The 3 runners-up are: M. Draize from Stockbridge, GA – S. These runners-up have each won a $50 Gift Certificate that can be used towards any future purchase on SideshowCollectibles.com (except Wait List items)! The winners will be emailed for confirmation and added to the Spooktacular Winners List. [Winners List] If you are still wondering what the answer to the final question was, we accepted any entry with ’41′ as the number of products and ‘Comic-Con 2004′ (or any variation in the spelling of it) as the event/year. This answer can be found in the Special Events section of our Ministry of Information.
One last trivia question to end Spooktacular!
This contest is now closed and the random winner has been chosen from all correct entries submitted in time: congratulations to J. Gleim from Hopkins, MN! The correct answer was ‘Isildur’. This winner will be emailed for confirmation and added to the Spooktacular winners list. Sideshow’s Mistress of the Web once again needs a Lord of the Rings answer (and this one’s easy because she’s tired): To whom did the oath-breaking King of the Dead swear his allegiance in the War of the Last Alliance? You may just win a King of the Dead polystone statue if you are right! Use the Spooktacular Contest Form [Located Here] and enter your answer and Contest Code: SPKT0607 before 10:00 AM (Pacific Time) on November 1st, 2006. Make certain to spell both the Contest Code and the answer correctly! (The chosen winner will be responsible for shipping and any applicable VAT and import fees.)
Did you win a Tim Bradstreet Punisher?
Some of you noticed that the Mistress of the Web posted a contest for the Tim Bradstreet Punisher Premium Format figure in the comment section of one of the ‘Web Team Picks’ posts! [Click Here to view the contest] The potential winner, who knew that the answer is Microchip is J. Cooper from Clearfield, UT! This winner will be contacted by email for confirmation and added to the Spooktacular winners list.
