Where are the main baddies of the Marvel universe? We would really like to have an update on Doctor Doom, Ultron, Loki, Iron Patriot, hopefully Onslaught, Galactus, Dormmamu & Mephisto.

Doom, in progress. Loki, in design. Iron Patriot, waiting to be initialized. Onslaught, meh (just kidding, really). Galactus – oh, you’ll be happy. Dormammu and Mephisto, we’ll be doing Tyrannosaurs versions of both.

OK Sideshow, when I say Doctor Doom Premium Format figure is the best Marvel piece ever made by Sideshow, I am sure that there aren’t any collectors who would disagree with me. I can’t get the first one now, and I need a Doom PF! Will you guys release a new Doctor Doom PF with a standing pose? AND how about a more ambitious plan to release a 1:2 Doctor Doom Maquette that comes with a chalice like the PF for the exclusive version? Doom is the most iconic and popular Marvel villain and fans like me would like to see him getting Sideshow love.

For the PF X-Men line, I’m concerned that we won’t be getting a Storm or Nightcrawler version?? I wasn’t impressed with the Comiquette version of Storm (punk look distracting). Any plans for her in PF? I do like the Comiquette version of Nightcrawler, but would prefer him in a PF format, any plans?

Why so concerned? You’ll probably find yourself pleasantly surprised within the year, with at least one of the two. We’re pretty firmly dedicated to bringing all of the major players from the Lee era of X-men to life in PF.

Are there any plans in the further for another Fantastic Four Diorama, possibly with one their most popular villains; Doctor Doom, SuperScrull, or maybe squaring off against the Hulk? Your last one was great, but it has been sold out for a long time.

We’re hard at work on a couple of Dr. Doom projects, but not as part of any diorama designs. We’ll give your feedback to the design team!

Hi Sideshow, being an older aged collector, would you ever consider doing such characters from classic films such as Errol Flynn as robin hood or Capt. Blood? Also, some faves of mine would be Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung! Since you did Bruce Lee these would be great! Also how about a Snake Plissken? A forgotten about Marvel babe, Domino would be really great too. Thank you!

You have good taste, sir! We don’t have any active plans for Flynn, or any of the Asian cinema greats, but it doesn’t mean that we aren’t interested. We simply have too many good things to work on! Domino HAS appeared in our planning, and is likely to get some quality treatment at some point.

Hi there, with the truly spectacular Conan: The Prize, and Conan Premium Format pieces, not to mention this year’s wonderful looking Vampirella Comiquette and Premium Format pieces, I was just wondering if there is any chance that you guys making a Red Sonja statue? There have been a few made over the years, I know, some even quite nice, but just like with Conan and Vampi, I believe that you fine folks at Sideshow could take the character to a whole new level, whether it be a Conan style diorama, or Vampi style PF or Comiquette. Just as there was room in the market for truly definitive Vampirella and Conan pieces, I think the same could also be said for Red Sonja – whether it be Marvel Comics inspired, Dynamire comics based, or your own artistic take on the character. Any chance? Thanks.

Hello Sideshow, I know you guys just released some new Captain America stuff, but I was thinking that it would be really be cool to have a mini size Cap shield maybe 10″-12″ with a stand, in a metallic form. Maybe some sort of aluminum or something. I love the full size versions but they are just too big and too expensive. It would look great displayed next to or with the new statues. I think it would sell great as well. Just a suggestion from a huge SSC fan.

Will your team please answer a couple of questions please. Any chance on these Marvel characters ever being made? 1. The Stranger 2. The Celestials 3. Morg 4. Drax the Destroyer 5. Infinity Watch You could really make me happier then any statue collector out there if you did these in FS. Busts are cool only if they are as badass as your Galactus Legendary Scale Bust; which I own. Thanks for your time! Your devoted possibly number one fan if you make least The Stranger lol.

We don’t have any plans to return to Cyclops in PF form in the near future, but it’s always possible! For the moment, there are MANY other characters that have our attention.

Hello Sideshow, let me begin by saying I’m a huge fan of your work! I am an avid collector of both Sideshow and Bowen’s FS and bust statues. Bowen has one big flaw though they stick to the same characters and make different versions over and over again. I’m a member on statuemarvels.com and I’ve asked Randy already whether or not they would consider making some of my favorite characters, and he’s answered by saying he seriously doubts it or flat out no. My question to your team is do you have any interest in doing any Marvel cosmic pieces such as Eternity, The Stranger (one of my favorites I might add), The Celestials, Living Tribunal, Inbetweener, The Watcher, Infinity Watch, Drax the Destroyer and any other of the most powerful and awesome characters such as the Beyonder? I’ve got quite a collection already building but all of these guys have been left out! I’m hoping you can help me and the many other fans of these Marvel characters get these guys made! I know you have to have some kind of interest judging by your completely jaw-dropping work of the Galactus Legendary Bust. Thanks for your time and I hope you consider my ideas.

Bowen does a tremendous range of characters. In fact, over the history he’s had with Marvel, we would credit him as having offered THE most diverse range! Sideshow and Bowen have a similar challenge, which is keeping the line(s) healthy by using well known characters, and still weaving in a diverse choice of characters from the Universe. Unfortunately, some characters are so obscure, that they simply don’t make for good products – not enough people know them or want them. For hardcore fans, that can be a source of real frustration – we get it. We can’t speak for Bowen, but we see evidence in his choices that we think similarly, and work hard to please all camps – those that have a more casual appreciation of all things Marvel, and those that are dyed in the wool, hardcore dudes that want EVERY character.

In light of the new Captain America movie, can we see a PF of the Red Skull? I wasn’t able to grab the other PF and I really would like one for my collection.

Will SSC release a Ghost Rider Premium Format Figure in light of the new movie coming out in 2012? Prior, there has been a Maquette in 2007 and a Polystone throne statue last year. A PF with EX interchangeable heads would be a great option.

Ghost Rider is a powerful candidate, but he’s not actively in development. Frankly, we’re amazed by the movie slate for 2012/2013 and beyond – there’s too many juicy targets.
