Regarding the Terminator and Predator line: Seeing as you guys where the distributor for the HCG 1:2 Endoskeleton. Have you guys ever considered bringing us a 1:2 scale of full Arnie in his leathers half-man half machine optional shotgun, or a 1:2 scale of the original Predator w/ an optional bio helmet?? They would sell like hot cakes!!! Finally, as there will be an original Terminator Premium Format coming soon please tell us you have a 1:1 bust of Arnie with removable gargoyle glasses from the original Terminator!! There are too many crappy homemade jobs of this floating on eBay. Please guys give us Terminator fans the 1:1 bust we are all dreaming of, and pump us a decent size original predator WITH bio helmet!! At the very least please reassure us with some answers to these questions. Cheers!!!

Oh, we’ve done more than consider.
You’ll be a happy camper, but bear in mind that our development process does take time, so we can’t offer you immediate gratification. Reassurance, indeed.

Just wanted to know why the new Terminator Premium Formats eye on the exclusive switch out head doesn’t light up, it should be a necessity. Can you put it under consideration just like what happened with the Thanos and Mistress Death diorama where the light up features were added way down the line in the design department? If not why?

Sideshow is always actively working on product enhancements, sometimes right up until a product ships. We enjoy the chance to add additional features when possible, like the Thanos and Mistress Death. In some cases, we haven’t sorted out the final engineering or features when a product is solicited, but we continue to work at it after the solicitation to see if we can pack in any extra value. We can’t comment yet on the Terminator PF eye, but we are keeping an eye on the possibility.

Oh, indeed, great minds think alike. We can’t confirm or deny anything from your message, not just yet anyway. We’re worried that Skynet forces will get word and send agents to delay or disrupt our plans for BIG T2 and Predator pieces.

I’m a big Terminator fan, and am very much looking forward to the new Terminator 1 PF when it hits. But will you ever release any of the other characters in premium format, like Kyle Reese from T1, Sarah Connor and T-1000 from T2, and the TX (in both forms) from T3? I think a lot of Terminator fans would like to expand their premium format collection beyond just Arnie. Also speaking of Arnie, how about a ‘Tech Noir’ version of him from Terminator 1 next time, just for a bit more variety? Thanks.

The Terminator Franchise is getting an extensive review from our product planning and design teams. We want more Terminator in the mix, and we’re interested in a bit more variety too. Some of the characters you mention will see life in the statue series. For the moment, we’re not involved with T3, so those characters are out – but that could change. Arnie and the Endoskeleton are the heart and soul of all things Terminator, and the line’s health depends on a steady release of Austrian or shiny things.

With you guys “taking a step back” from the Terminator franchise, does this mean we will not be seeing an original Terminator Premium Format anytime soon? -AND- I am a HUGE!!! Terminator fan, and I was wondering where you guys are in the production of a T1 Premium Format? Also, in my own opinion for a pose, I believe that a sculpt of the Nightclub scene with the uzi would be the most intriguing.

Woah, who said we’re taking a step back from the Terminator franchise? Absolutely not true – we’re in full development on the statue and Premium Format lines, and recently announced the addition of the original Terminator film to our licensing portfolio.

There is still a huge demand for the T2 1/4 Endoskeleton on the secondary market. Any hopes of making a 12-inch version or a reissue of the 1/4 scale version you put out in 2004? This is one piece I’m dying to have! Maybe you can make it better, like add an AC plug option and motion sensor that turns the eyes on.

It’s still a possibility that we’ll revisit the Endo in 1:4 scale, but not in 1:6 from Sideshow. Perhaps from Hot Toys – we’ll talk it over with them.

Is Sideshow making a Premium Format from the Terminator? I think I read that somewhere.

Do you plan sculpt another bust like the T-800 Life-Size Bust? It is amazing, and I regret that I was too young to buy it when it was released originally. Now, I could but there are no opportunities to do it! So will you do another sculpt like it in near future?

We do not re-cast or re-release the same items once they have sold through their edition sizes. Occasionally we re-visit a character but never in the exact same way. Keep an eye on the secondary market auctions and the ‘for sale’ sections of collecting message boards, as we have seen T-800 busts pop up every now and then. We will pass along your request for a new Arnold bust to our design team!

Can you tell us more about Sideshow’s Terminator plans?

We have expanded our relationship with all of the Terminator license holders, and we plan on continuing with the franchise for many years to come. Halcyon lost their rights to the Terminator franchise in bankruptcy court, and the current owners plan to make a new film in the not-too-distant future. We will be right there along with them.

We have taken a step back on Terminator in order to look at the entire universe, so to speak, and are preparing an all-new adventure in the Terminator arena. We’re looking at a new project line for Terminator that I think will help us and the collectors tie everything in the universe into one category – you can use your imagination as to what it will be Up to now we’ve been dabbing with the various characters in different formats, and now we’re looking at a sweet statue approach to tie all the characters together.

Can we expect to see a T-1000 Premium Format in the NEAR future?

Not in the NEAR future, although it is still part of our planning. The artist we’re most interested in sculpting this project has been busy on others – but he’s due to start the piece in the near future.

I would love for you to produce a Terminator 1 collectible of Arnold’s half-face ripped off and the skin side from when he’s chasing Sarah in the transport truck. Should be a life-size bust or a 12-incher!!!! And I want to see a figure with those older T1 sunglasses he wore!

Before I start, I have to say your company as a whole is producing some amazing things, and I have no doubt after looking at other companies, I don’t think they come close. Pure class and a certain ‘feel’ to them – and I don’t mean touching them ;) I collect the Premium Formats mainly, and I have a couple of Terminators in my collection with the T-600 bust on order. Has there been any talk or plans to have a go at a Premium Format Sarah Connor Chronicles line? I think there would be some serious interest in a Cameron PF along with a few others. Although it was cancelled 2 seasons in, it has a massive following and was never given a chance to shine. I’m pretty sure all the rights would be with the same company as the films. I would be the first to buy them for sure! Keep up the good work – amazing!!!…. AND… Are there any plans for Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles?

Truth be told, we’re not entirely ‘in the know’ on the Chronicles, and we’re more likely to focus on the material from the films.

I know that Sideshow will be doing more Terminator Salvation pieces in the future – are there any plans for a T-600 rubber mask version terminator in Premium Format?
