In an effort to capture the full scope and detail of Jabba the Hutt, we opted to use more rigid materials in the item's construction. Thus, collectors will not be getting a squishy, flexible Jabba, as materials needed for such movement would severely cut down on the detail and life span of your collectible. However, we have worked in some articulation to this item where ever possible. Check out Flash animation below to play around with a few different arm variations that can be achieved with his swivel-jointed shoulders. Also, keep in mind that these three positions are not the only positions in which you will be able to pose his arms, but they should give you a good idea of how it will work! If you missed the opportuntity to pre-order this figure, we suggest that you sign up to the Wait List as soon as possible. [Click Here]

It’s a great production, one of the best, but to get the whole thing you’d be paying well over $600! Why couldn’t they have sold it all together so people could have saved on the shipping costs? This is a very expensive display if you want it to look complete with figures and all. Much too expensive for most people these days.
Just stumbled across this and have to say “Dancing Jabba” is pretty funny. I must say that I will not be one of the first to own this beautiful piece and its throne!! =( I did have it preordered, but had to cancel it yesterday. I really needed the funds. I just recently got married a few weeks ago, and the money I save now will benefit our house and bills more right now. Maybe down the road I can order him again!!
leave it to SS to entertain even those who didn’t order this piece.
like you, joe,i just spent a while making him dance! very cool flash feature!
well, i didn’t order one, but i just spent 5 minutes making his arms wiggle, thanks ss!
I have to admit, I was SO hesitant about the throne…but I decided I HAD to have it if I wanted to make my Star Wars collection really shine. It was a big step, since I was trying not to spend as much as it would cost to purchase a Medicom product, and since this was only an accessory (technically), I was even more hesitant. Flexplay helps, of course, but ultimately I’ve grown tired of the lack of this kind of craftsmanship in other scales and character lines. BRING ON SOME MORE SCUM!!! and…villainy.
The tension is mounting! I hope he arrives soon, with no delays!!!
i just saw it. a friend on a website i belong to just got his in the mail .he is in one of the asian countries. it’s alsome
I was on the waiting list for the inclusive edition, and what do you know, someone backed out and now I’m getting one of these bad boys! I can’t wait to get him. See, wait lists do work!
He’s dancin!! I am so stoked for Jabba! Bring him on!!
Works well to the Numa Numa dance, too.
Oh my, he’s amazing…but he’s going to take up half my toy space….
Would have been nice to have him where his mouth could open and his tounge come out also maybe swivel wrists. as much as this set is costingthe only articulation is his arms and those of salacious B. Crumb. basically a 400 (+) dollar statue. granted it looks terriffic just wish there was a bit more play value to the piece for the cash involved
thats definitely the macarena.
Looks like we are going to be able to achieve some very cool poses with Jabba the Hutt. Thank you Sideshow for keeping the lifespan of a collectible in mind when making critical decisions on material and design. It would be a shame to purchase an awesome looking piece just to have it collapse after a few adjustments. You guys and gals are always on top of the game. Keep rockin’ gang, you do it so well!
Greetings from Phoenix! This looks sooo amazing! It’s the one large scale figure I ALWAYS wanted from Hasbro. As soon as I saw it at Comic Con this past summer, I was practically drooling. I only wish Sideshow had spread out the releases more (for $$ reasons), but c’est la vie, I’ll figure payments out somehow. Axonn, I hadn’t thought of using a supersized aquarium, but I am planning on building a Jabba’s throne room display, including 12″ Hasbro figs like C-3P0, Boushh, Han in Carbonite, Lando in Disguise, Gamorrean Guards, etc. Has anyone else been thinking of using either of the recent Slave Leia statues to sit in front of the mighty Jabba?
I too am waiting for this one. This will blow Attakus away and you must have the Bib Fortuna with (vintage) staff to go with it. I have been collecting for the full 30 years and he will be one of the many icons in my Star Wars room. Have space waing for him for months now.
If you roll your cursor back-and-forth over the numbers, it’s like Mighty Jabba is doing the Macarena. Or the Time Warp. I can’t tell.
Jabba’s articulated limbs are really fantastic. But looking at Jabba’s picture posted above, it’s pretty clear that he DEMANDS his throne!! It’s really a shame that some collectors will have to be satisfied with an “incomplete” Jabba, because the throne is to pricey for them. It’s also a pity that there was no discount for those that decided to order the complete Jabba pack instantly.
YES! Can’t wait!
Looking good guys! I’m guessing this is a pic of the production figure. I like how he is a bit more colorful than the proto.
Just got Bib Fortuna..while that fantastic figure was enough to heighten my anticipation for Jabba, this feature sure is! Bring on the slimy piece of worm-ridden filth!
Happy about the rigid-er materials!!!
He won’t flatten or get too squishy if you leave him in the baking back seat of your car…=)
I’m so glad that SSC is taking the iniative and looking out for us collectors when they decided to use a more rigid material for Jabba! The arms articulation is most welcome. I too can’t wait for this and the rest of the Jabba Scene figs to be in my home.
LOOK! HE DANCES when you swich back n’ forth between the numbers quickly! But then he gets tired…’cause I’m sure that weight puts strain on his heart. Poor guy. In stead of losing weight he turned to crime >_
HELL YEAH!! AND I DON’T HAVE A SPOT FOR HIM! YAY!! Isn’t it great when you realize that you no longer have room in your house for the figures that haven’t even arrived yet? Damn, this thing’s in-scale to, and the more I think about it, the MORE I realize that I severely underrestimated the size of this MUTHER-SLIPPER…I’m thinking I’m going to have to just turn my entire basement into one ENORMOUS display piece…with a path through the armies, of course. NO MIXING THE 1/6 and 1/12 SCALES THOUGH!
Anyone else planning on putting him in an aquarium/display case? I just bought an 98gal. for him!
I’m so glad to see updated information on Jabba! Bring him on!
i am so looking forward to this big green fat-ass freak. i ordered the creature pack & throne too. got a spot picked out for him already….now just waiting. the anticipation is excruciating. definately a center piece to anyone’s sw collection.
HECK YEA CANT WAIT FER MINE YEE HA
Cool. Can’t wait to get him!
