Looks good, I wonder if the packaging will be an exclusive look for celebration IV only….

  2. Gruff Old Bear says:

Having gotten my order in gives me that “Aaaah!” sensation that Sideshow’s white knuckle PPO mornings are known for. Are you ever going to tell us who the sculptor is?

  3. Sompeetalay says:

Finally a Yavin Luke with the correct Defender Sporting Blaster :)

  4. bearclanjawa says:

    We meet again Sideshow……

I am planning to be at CIV, but I am leaning towards ordering the non-attendee Yavin Luke, so I don’t have to worry about shipping it back home from the convention.
Luke looks pretty good, but his SS “puffy jacket” needs to be reworked. The jacket as is, is just terrible & completely detracts from the figure.
Also, the ribbon on the medallion needs to be changed, so it hangs better. Perhaps add some metal to his medal, & make it heavier.
The sculpt is great, but please bring the outfit up to the quality of the figure!
    Star Wars Is Forever!!!

  5. Jay says:

Looks great! Although it should have his Lightsaber hilt to hang on his belt.

  6. Ken Benobi says:

Very niiice! I can hardly wait. I wanna order it NOW!!! I just wish they could beam it to me. Picking it up at C4 kinda sucks since I will have SOOO much stuff to carry back home with me. Why couldn’t this have been in LA back when I lived there?

  7. Morgan says:

Another great looking fig from Sideshow. My only complaint is, if you look at the movie or images of ceremonial Luke the piping on his jacket is more of a bluish/purple than tan. Nitpicking stuff, I know. Where did he get those clothes anyway? Wish I could buy two for kitbashing! Oh well, wait for e-bay right.

  8. HAPPYBOY says:

Another great one from the Sideshow gang. Thanks for keeping it interesting and for always making the best collectibles on the market. Sideshow definetly rocks!

  9. joe says:

looks great, if he didn’t borrow clothes from han, he might have cleaned out biggs’ locker, i’m sure he had some stuff that would fit, not as if biggs needed them anymore. great attention to detail ssc, i will pass on this one, but i appreciate the look of the figure even if he’s not for me.

  10. xequae says:

He looks great!! I think I’m going to pass and wait for Tatooine Luke…

  11. Puay says:

Re-using things is perfectly fine, I guess what’s important is being movie accurate.
I am hoping for more ANH items this year.

  12. jedibear says:

    stunning.
    very nice…..

  13. Sachiel says:

Not bad. Luke uses the same pants as Han does in ESB. Same boots like Han does in the movie (many characters do throughout the movies). Weren’t those boots sculpted for 12″ Jedi Luke anyways? ;) He also has the same blaster as Leia in the movie and the belt is correct.

  14. RooJay says:

As I recall, Luke didn’t bring along any luggage with him on the Millenium Falcon. I’d seems pretty reasonable that he might’ve borrowed clothes from Han; I’d always just assumed that’s what happened in the movie anyway!

  15. Fox says:

Some of you cats should go check out the movie again:

Luke wears those pants during the ceremony. They are similar to Han’s ESB pants, except they are pleated.

Luke does not have his lightsaber on his belt during the ceremony.

Luke has the exact same blaster Leia uses in his holster during the ceremony.

Luke’s gunbelt during the ceremony is different than Han’s.

So there you go. There may be some “recycling” but it’s accurate to his appearance in the movie.

  16. peter says:

Yes please include Luke’s lightsaber, and an extra medallion for Han. I bought two Bespin Han’s, and an old POTF Smuggler Han outfit so I can recreate the final shot from A New Hope on my bookshelf. And with your one figure limit, how else could I buy another Luke so I could get the other medallion? Sideshow: You guys really need to create a section on your site for spare parts.

  17. S.Martin says:

LOOKS KILLA SEE YOU ON FRIDAY ILL BE THERE FOR SURE . DARTH MYEEK DOES HAVE A GOOD IDEA THAT WOULD MAKE A GOOD ADDITION TO THE SS 12” STAR WARS LINE MAKING THEM EVEN MORE UNIQUE THAN THEY ALREADY ARE ANYWAY THX AGAIN SS.

  18. Reaper says:

re-using things is not new. Willow’s tennis shoes (Buffy 12″ line) were just unpainted replicas of Connor’s from the Highlander 12″ line. While these are minor details, they can easily be forgiven if the overall figure is of good quality. Plus, it keeps the final price down on the finished product too!

  19. matt says:

looks good, but does he come with a lightsaber hilt to hang on his belt? he has one in the movie.

  20. KC says:

Yeah, Han’s pants and boots and Leia’s blaster….But can anyone guess who’s underwear Luke is wearing?

  21. arnold says:

Wow, Sideshow is recycling it’s left over stuff. Those are Bespin Han pants and boots…I need to check the DVD to see if that is the Blaster Luke has…I seem to remember him having a gunbelt similar to Han’s…oh well, I will still get him…I see great Kitbashing possibilities with this figure…

  22. Grant says:

No, watch the film again. It’s not a prototype, just another sporting blaster

  23. Andrew says:

The blaster he has is Leia’s. Is that just a prototype?

  24. Darth_Myeek says:

I think the clothes and accessories are awesome, and the head sculpt is decent. This figure would be a fine purchase for 12″ figure collector. The main detraction for me in most 12 inch figures are the eyes. The usually look like they were borrowed from a 12″ corpse. :-) Are glossy/translucent eyes a possibility? Like a glass bead inserts? It would not be to difficult to manufacture glass beads that could be used as eyes. With a small tool the owner could then adjust the gaze as an extra point of articulation.

See you at C-4, and thanks again for the presales which in turn will make C-4 enjoyable. I am skipping GG.

  25. John says:

Arent those the same boots and pants that bespin han wore? Other than that(recycling old parts) it looks decent. I’d have rather you make a farm boy luke. Oh well

  26. D. Martin Myatt says:

    I. Can. Not. Wait. For. Thursday!!!!

  27. Randy says:

    great figure for an exclusive
any mainstream baddies on the way?
