well, i ordered these, and i’mlooking forward to them, but i’m still waiting patiently to see some production photos of the other accessories, help a guy out here ssc, show us what they look like : )

Sideshow I thank you for including an exclusive that I care nothing about, but I’ll still try to pre-order the exclusive set anyway and if I’m unsuccessful in the first ten minutes, then no worries here. I think your system may crash during the pre-order period.
I believe an exchangeable head showing the anger of the Sith Lord would’ve been the best choice for the exclusive. Hey, this could also be the start of collectors buying more of the same figure. For example I’m seriously thinking about getting another Leia , and so I can have her in the bounty hunter disguise and one of her revealed. SSC just something to think about.
Sideshow, I like the environment display stands like those of Comic Con exclusive Anakin, and the stand for Darth Maul. I was hoping that you would’ve continued that theme. Also, think about using elastic bands at the pant legs to help with keeping the pants in the boots.
And please make Darth Vader from ESB or ROTS. Every collector are crying out for a Han Solo in carbonite. We need Vader first.

These are great figures and I’ll be buying them for sure. I had originally thought that I would skip all of the prequel trilogy figures, but you guys just keep making amazing figures that I can’t do without out.

What’s the price??? I like the emperor the best. I think the cane should have been added and not the Lightning, Hasbro did that already.
These figures look absolutely awesome! I will admit that I am a bit dissapointed with the exclusive though. Although not enough not to get it. Definitely need a cane, definitely.
I think the exclusive is great. It is also featured in one of the final scenes in Return of the Jedi on the Death Star.
There was a comment about polling fans for exclusives. I agree completely. I wouldn’t have voted for the lightning, but I’m sure there are other options. Moreso, I think they should poll us on which characters are most wanted by most people. I’ve got my wishlist, and I’m sure you do too. Why can’t SS set up some kind of nomination and voting system? As long as Diebold isn’t running it SS will see the characters we most want.
wow, not dissapointed…the head sculpts are amazingly accurate…I love the senators red outfit, really stand out! The Sith Statue is a nice touch too! This will be one (or two) to own!

Three questions though…
1. Why “exclusive” instead of “inclusive”?
2. Why no lightning? Seems like an obvious accessory to include with this character.
3. Can the heads be swapped?
YOUKNOW your exactly right we need his cane his throne nis lightning, and another facial sculpt of ROTJ’s emperor also why not make different faces for these guys a post Mace chancelor, a furious emperor from episode 3 and a docile and Pissed face from episode 6. We need an expansion pack PLEASE ASAP. The exclusive is really a let down but Oh well Wish you had posted the price too why the secrecy?

This set looks great but the exclusive absolutely sucks as bad as this year’s SDCC exclusive. I hope you guys are fans enough to know that this is hardly complete, although you are about 90% there. An expansion pack including the throne, sith lightning, cane, ROTJ robe and the red outer robe from ROTS will complete this set and make it THE palpy set to have. Think you can hadle that Sideshow?!

Rubbish! I’m sick of these games being played by Sideshow. No Troopers, they announced that it will be 2-3 years before any armoured figure will be released…why do you think they are selling Medicom?

yep this thing looks awsome i thought the hasbro one was good. i have him hanging around with my sith`s like the sdcc ex.anakin/ darth vader sith apprentice figure but the face on the sideshow sidious is a lot better mainley around the eyes you can see more of the sith eyes than on the hasbro version
Holy crap!!! These are awesome figures. As for the exclusive, I’m not very interested but it’s still kind of cool I guess. I would like a Han/Carbonite expansion pack with Jabba’s barbeque please. Verbo, I’m adding the bbq to the request I think it would really add to the over-all look. Hope that’s cool with you. Thanks guys keep up the great work.

Firstly both of these are great. The sculpts are amazing and I actually like the neutrality of them, even moreso on Sidious. The first image, to me is definately him but the way it’s been posed reminds me of ROTJ Palps. I guess this’ll add to the transition when we get the RotJ one.. *hint hint*.
Sure I also expected force lightening. I didn’t expect a cam droid with base though. I can’t say I’m completely pleased with that choice as it would have more suited a TPM Palpatine/Sidious but ack well. I’m happy with these, even the statue after hearing its significance. My only complaint is that the sabers in the photos are exactly the same and not with different colourings, as they should be. I hope this gets fixed and then it’s a perfect set.

I’m really loving these figures. Palpatine and Sidious look even better then expected, and the costumes look great. My only little tiff is with the inner robe of the chancellor. The front part is hanging like a panel when it should be part of the entire inner robe. Sidious is perfect though. Awsome job guys.
This is truley an asset to Sideshow’s reputation. I don’t think these 2 figures could have been done any better. What a way to start a 2-pack notion! Awesome sculpting on the faces, much better than the Bespin Luke, and the costumes are perfect! I’m looking forward to some Indy 2-packs! Way to go Sideshow!!
Sideshow, the figures just get better and better! This two pack looks amazing! Both figures are perfect! Between this 2 pack and Bespin Luke, this may be Sideshow’s best year yet for 12 inch! They are fantastic!

Wow, this is truly a sideshow treasure. The Chancellor looks even better, and great job on the costume (the robe and inner robe looks spot on). Now Sidious…all I can say is WOW. 10/10 score here. Definitely gonna be getting this as soon as I can.
Wow … I can´t wait for these first 2-pack …. I hope we can hold on our hands the Imperial Guard 2-pack, or the Senador Guard 2-pack …. and comes the Darth Vader 12 inch …..

Fantastic pieces. I will be getting the regular edition – the exclusive accessory is rubbish. I will wait for a ROTJ Emperor before getting too angry about the passive facial sculpt and lack of force lightning. This is clearly ROTS Sidious so he is perfect as he is.

I certainly agree, with some of the viewer’s / profile’s that some people have wrote…Absolutely where is the Force Lightning ? maybe someone who created, this figure, needs to watch more Star Wars movie’s perhaps !…
Now all we need is a scale yoda WITH the Force lightning for the “I have waited a long time for this moment, my little green friend…” scene just before the senate duel. Is an Endor Palpatine in the works as well? Just hopefully not with a Royal Guard, like the Hasbro 2 pk.
A statue from his office? What kind of BS exclusive is that! The figures look real nice so I will be ordering this.
FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! Just plain awesome! The lack of Sith Lightning is interesting though. Such an important item shouldn’t be left out. Makes me feel like it is being saved for an expansion pack. I mean an unseen Holocron, but not the lightning. Hmmm… Please add some photos of the senate cam, holocron, and close ups of the two sabers. Also, are the heads going to be easier than the standard figure to swap? Like Leia or Asajj easy? Obviously the Sidious head can be used on the Palpatine head, and some what the other way for a slightly different Episode I/II Sidious. Please watch these individually pass through QC. These figures are too awesome to be ruined by sloppy painting. I don’t want to see Anakin’s lipstick anywear on Palpatine’s face!

I LOVE the statue. My one hope is that someday Sideshow does a life-sized version of it.
Sidious is fantastic too…I for one am glad Sideshow skipped the lightning…it would have looked toy-like and hokey.

Definitely will pick this one up. But i have to ask… where is is the standard black Sidious robe? Please say u will include this and this set will be complete! Displaying him next to Maul won’t look right without it.
I’m a little bummed that these aren’t being sold separately – I collect the original trilogy stuff, and not the prequel stuff, so while the oldschool Emperor is essential, I HOPE that these are packaged separately so I don’t have to hang onto the other unnecessarily.

Everything looks awesome but it’s missing just one little item. I’m gonna ahve to go with Al and say we need the force lightning!
This set is MOST anticipated! Finally some more Sith, and a two-pack at that!
HOWEVER, I would have much preferred a replaceable portrait with him showing his teeth, or some Force lightning. That statue is a bit of a letdown.

Figures look cool but considering it’s the 30th Anniversary and all I think a 3PO and R2 set would have been cooler – then again I’ll buy this one anyways. It really is a cool set. Granted what’s in a pair of droids but the same can be said with Jabba and his lot.

This pair really sets the bar high for future releases. Not only are the sculpts fantastic, but the pairing of the two figures could be the start of something truly amazing. Jedi/Padawan, Droids,etc… Really great stuff you’re all doing at Sideshow…
THANK GOODNESS sideshow DID NOT include the lightning. It would have cheapened what is, allready, my favorite piece from this line.

Excellent figures….especially the Emperor. Really nice detail! The exclusive accessory doesn’t interest me though so I’ll probably pick up the regular edition. Hopefully Vader is coming soon……

Wow guys, this first 2-pack is a milestone in the Star Wars line, and not only did you make amazing choices for characters to put into it, but you’ve given us some of the finest looking sculpts and figures I’ve ever seen. These figures are breathtaking; I’m so stunned but what I see I can’t even articulate the excitement I’m feeling about this set. THANK YOU, and great sculpting work Oluf!
Fantastic, Sideshow you are doing an amazing job with this line. You are at least for me bringing great exitement to collecting star wars. Since I discivered your site over a year ago I cannot stop anticipating the next figure in the line.
Only one thing I ask…are we going to see any creatures for our 12in line…
