We have been overwhelmed by the excitement that we received after last week’s announcement of our newest Star Wars 12-inch figure – Han Solo: Smuggler – Tatooine! Here’s what the sculptor, Trevor Grove, had to say about his part in bringing this much-anticipated figure to life:
“Receiving the call to make this sculpture was an indescribable honor! As a fan of Star Wars I was thrilled at the chance to sculpt Han Solo for the 1/6 scale line, and I was also immediately intimidated at the level of difficulty that he presented. It’s strange that such a recognizable face would be so challenging, however, Ford is probably to this day the most difficult, interesting, and compelling face I’ve had the privilege to attempt in 3D.”

FRIKIN AMAZING!!!! Sculpt is dead on. ANyone who complained about the sculpt last week should go to the eye doctor. WOW! Better than the PF sculpt and that one was fantastic!

It’s funny whay paint can do. The sculpt by itself looks stern and badd @$$– but with paint, it softens and looks gentle.
Anywho, THIS is gonna be the defintitive Han figure. This has raised the bar.
Wow, this is amazing. Really like a young Harrison Ford. I think this now on the must-buy list just like all the other upcoming Sideshow 12″ releases.
WOW! This looks awesome, all the more reason to paint it properly, the preview photo looks all bloodshot beady eyed and femme.

Outstanding Sculpt!! Please SSC I ask just one thing, paint his hair color dark brown and not jet black like the ESB version.
Wow. These pictures immediately changed my opinion of this sculpt. The preview pic looked awful, but this is a spot-on likeness. Trevor rules! I am so sold on this!!
You can’t ask for better than that; perfection, only thing left is the painting. Sometimes I would like to have one portrait raw like this and then one painted, that way if the painting looks a little of I can still go back to looking at perfection. Well done, Trevor.
Give us a killer paint app (like Leia/Boussh) to go with this excellent sculpt and we’ll have another one knocked out of the ballpark!
