Dusty, after seeing the NEW trailer for Iron Man today, I think you are wise in standing by Iron Man. However, the Dark Knight still looks like the better film to me. Iron Man will be a fun, mindless action movie, but the Dark Knight will be well thought out, and well, DARK. I think if it doesn’t put a smile on peoples’ faces, the Joker will make them smile…

I do have to admit that the set up for the Avengers movie in Hulk and Iron Man is an excellent idea, one that DC really should think about before producing that bomb of a Justice League movie.

sorry dusty, i have to disagree with you. While i’m sure both iron man and indiana jone will make a ton of money, both are released in may, which is still in the spring. Summer begins on June 20th, which means Batman will be the summer blockbuster this year, as it’s the only one to come out in the summer.

Buttmunch, sorry, can’t agree. I mean, Batman just has a cool costume and utility belt, while Iron Man can FLY, plus it’s a brand new story we’ve never seen on the big screen before, whereas TDK is a rehash of the Batman/Joker story we’ve seen many times (yes, a unique interpretation, but still)… plus RDJ seems to be pretty great as Tony Stark… and his suit has cool light-up palms and stuff. I also think that some may be turned off by Heath’s disturbing portrayal of the Joker so soon after his death. Don’t get me wrong, I think The Dark Knight will be a great film, but Iron Man will be the Blockbuster winner of the summer. In my opinion of course

Darth Impulsive, well, I just think Indy’s time has come and gone. He’s a classic from my childhood and that’s more than enough to get ME in the seat at least once, but I’m thinking ‘the kids’ will prefer Iron Man, and that means Blockbuster cash (although not necessarily a better movie, of course). The best thing about the new Indy film will probably be Shia LeBeof, and it’ll be hard for him to top his Blockbuster performance of last year in Transformers.

Dusty, I have to disagree with you. I think Indiana Jones is going to be bigger than Iron Man. At least I hope it is because I have a feeling Holywood will screw it up just like they always do with comic book movies…
Well dawgies, another fun podcast from the Sideshow gang.
A great look at lots of Sideshow goodies headed our way, and a fun peek inside the creation of the armored characters that will be at the top of collectors wish lists for sure. Pretty Premium Poker Products, say that 3 times fast, hehe. Dusty, you will get no argument from me for my choice of the most anticipated film of the year, it’s Iron Man for me all the way. I can’t wait to see Tony Stark don the suit on the big screen. Free Comic Book Day coming in May, and sounds like Sideshow is ready to help us celebrate it proper like. Good news for us fans. Great job gang, as always. Miss the Mistress, need more Dusty time, and what happened to the bloopers. Hard to fit it all in I know. Always the funnest podcast to listen too no matter what. O.K…….. CRAPONASTICK….I need TATERS!!
Sadly Dusty, I am going to have to disagree with you. Iron-Man, Hulk, and Indy are all surely going to rock, be THE summer blockbuster is going to be THE DARK KNIGHT. Heath’s Joker is going to be legendary and unforgetable. This movie will be the Empire Strikes Back of the Batman series and everyone knows Empire is the best of the original trilogy.

Sideshow, please somehow snag the 12″ figure license from DC like you did from Hasbro for Star Wars. Either that or get the whip cracking on Hot Toys to do it soe you can at least distribute them. I 12″ Joker is a must have!
Dengar sounds like an interesting figure. I would love to see SS produce that one! I hope Lando comes out soon though. After hearing about the whole armour thing, I get a little insight to the price hike.
