  2. Noel says:

    Pennywise PF please!!!!

  3. Zandy says:

I want Samra(from THE RING movie) diorama

  4. nasos savva says:

hey..where is TRANSFORMERS ROTF OPTIMUS PRIME MAQUETTE? and how do you thing of TRANSFORMERS 1 AUTOBOT JAZZ *PROTOFORM* ROBO & KAPSULE Mode DIORAMA???

  5. gumby says:

Finally some LOTR news! That brief glimpse of the Morgul Lord PF in today’s Production Tease Video #1 is just what the doctor ordered.

  6. Oldboy says:

I wish many marvel figures to this year… SHOW YOUR SELF JUGGY!!! :D
PS: i agree with you Noel Spooktacular 2010 should be horror only.

  7. RAF007 says:

Patiently waiting for some type of announcement for the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen line…Haven’t seen or heard anything about it since the of the license being acquired, please give us TF fans something to get excited about!

  8. Noel says:

I hope Star wars and LOTR collectors get good stuff in this Fantacular and leave the Spooktacular alone for horror collector, we need HORROR CHARACTERS on PF and dio’s to this Spooktacular 2010 nothing else.

  9. Tom P. says:

I debated buying Medicom’s version of Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter character from the upcoming Alice In Wonderland, but then I saw what the Barbie line had to offer – A decent portrait sculpt of Depp and a very cool & detailed costume – AND…at only $39.99 retail, a whole lot less than Medi’s at $199.00! Plus, the Barbie version has rooted hair!
Anyway, all of that just to say, Come on out of the closet, Barbie lovers! You have my support!

  10. gumby says:

No apology necessary JS. I’m not riled at you or anyone else. I am however, frustrated with SS’s lack of LOTR offerings as of late. Not to mention their refusal to address our concerns or even acknowledge them. Sentiments which I’m sure are shared by most passionate LOTR fans/collectors.

If we do not get a pre-order during Fantacular [which now looks extremely unlikely]then we will have gotten exactly 5 new pre-orders in one year! That’s it, 5 pre-orders from their 3 different product lines combined!! You don’t have to be a college professor to know something is wrong here. I’m just glad the LOTR licence has a special place at SS, because I’d hate to see how many pre-orders we’d haver gotten if it didn’t.

And to answer your question, yes, that does make you a closet Barbie fan LOL.

  11. catlover58 says:

This is very exciting — looking forward to some great previews and a fantacular month!

  12. Dave Mac says:

Looking forward to some more LOTR previews at some point if not during Fantacular, though to be honest I would like a chance to build more funds :D
Don’t forget to pass your eye over the various polls for the Hobbit’s in PF form SS. They are well worth the wait!! (along with Gimli and Boromir etc) ;)

  13. Tom P. says:

Hey, That’s right! I love the “blue puppet” commercial, JS! My best friends daughter thought it was a hoot, too! I think I must have looked like an idiot, I was grinning so darn big while watching it.
I think that’s what makes Sideshow so special to their customers. Not only do they make collecting such a fun hobby, they also give back, Generously, to their customers through these contests. Hope you and your wife get to collaborate on the next JS production. Look out Steven Spielberg!

  14. JS in Rochester says:

    Hi Tom P.,
YES indeedy, we’re also eager to see if there is another video contest this year. We won 2nd the first year with the blue puppet one, and then 3rd this past summer. I hope our creative juices flow strong enough this year to place in the top 3 one more time!
That’s cool that you have ideas already, so do we! (“we” being my wife and I, as we do it as a family project each Spring.)
Here’s hoping they make it a yearly thing. It sure is a great way to get fans/customers continually psyched about the company.
    .
I had thought I read somewhere that they were announcing one of them newfangled LOTR maquettes really soon, and assumed it would happen before the end of March. Sorry to get you riled Gumby. I share your passion for great LOTR offerings, and it still really bugs me that the 12″ Fellowship was abandoned before completion, and that these new maquettes are to be 1/6 scale anyway, just cheaper to produce and at a higher price point.
But a polystone Merry and Pippin would not take the place of good old 12″ scale figures with clothes and accessories.
    .
Does that make me a closet Barbie fan? Ay caramba!

  15. Tom P. says:

Wonder when Sideshow When will announce the next commercial contest! It will be a year to the day on the 17th of this month that Sideshow announced their “Collect Like You Give A Damn” contest. Love making those commercials and have a great time seeing other collectors creativity. Js – I think you entered last time around, didn’t you? I Have a very funny idea for this contest. Hope SS doesn’t decide to pass on it this year! They gave away mucho dinero in prizes last time!

  16. SDJ says:

The LOTR fans are all out here and waiting patiently for some kind of announcement. If we are not going to get anything at least tell us up front so we don’t keep getting our hopes all month for nothing.

  17. The One says:

Sitting back and patiently waiting new Star Wars announcements…oh yeah!!! You know they’re coming!!! Agreed HAPPYBOY!!! SS ROCKS!!!!

  18. gumby says:

Before you get too excited JS maybe you can point out for me where this “new LOTR stuff” is coming from? I don’t see LOTR attached to a single preview under the Events tab, which means no new LOTR stuff for us during Fantacular. Perhaps we’ll get a production tease, but that’s about it, and that’s not nearly enough for me to be happy about at this point .

  19. JS in Rochester says:

I bet there is some LOTR goodness coming by the end of March.
    .
So many fans here will always be super bummed and disappointed by the 12″ line on hold. (Ask Sideshow answers once said it’s because of decreased LOTR interest, but I suspect it’s more about return on investment numbers compared to simpler polystone goodies.)
    .
Nonetheless, hurray for new LOTR stuff anyway and probable announcement(s) during Fantacular!

  20. gumby says:

Hey Etienne, we may get a production tease [which means another 3-6 month wait before the item is available] somewhere along the line, but unless that maquette preview on Apr.1 pertains to the new LOTR line we won’t be getting a single preview/pre-order for the entire month long event. One thing is for sure, we will not be getting any new PF, LSB, or dio. previews which means no new pre-orders for any of these items. An event for the fans that completely ignores the fans of specific licence [LOTR] is not my idea of Fantacular.

  21. ETi says:

Hey Gumby maybe they’ll show us the Strider Maquette eh?? I’m hoping that they’ll launch the new line during this month…I’m really really hoping!

  22. gumby says:

Yeah HAPPYBOY, unless you’re a LOTR fan. There’s nothing fantastic about Fantacular as far as we’re concerned.

  23. Philippe says:

2 Star Wars previews… some will be screaming again… but not me :-)

  24. HAPPYBOY says:

Fantastic! Sideshow brings Fantacular to thier fans once again. Thank you for all you do for us not only now, but all year long. Sideshow rocks, and nobody rocks it better. :D

  25. Nightmare says:

    reverbnation.com/djkjuniorprojects

Please my fellow lotr fans support my Junior Project by visiting and listening to the lotr music we’e made. We need support ot excell in the charts! You may like what you hear ;)

  26. Sieg says:

This event each year is truly a beautiful thing :)
