  1. JP says:

It just shipped, i should be getting by monday… I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS PIECE…

  2. Collector says:

It really looks amazing. Does anybody know what material is made of? Is it metal? It looks metal. I own a T800 Endoskeleton and it is all metal, it is an awesome piece. Those of you who have a previous IronMan maquettes, are they metal?

  3. james says:

GREAT PIECE BUT 2000 IS A HIGH EDITION IN MY OPINION.

  4. Tristiang says:

    @hades & Matthew Kennedy

I second these requests. Please do a Mark V and War Machine too. Awesome!!!!!!!!!

  5. matthew kennedy says:

will there be a matching War machine statue?

  6. hades says:

i hope they create the iron man briefcase armor that’s so cool and awesome

  7. JC says:

Thank You for your response to my inquiry Jim. I just want to be sure because I own the Mark I and not counting the base the Mark I measures 19&1/2″ so as you can see when I read the specs of the Mark VI it states that the height is going to be 17″ and it concerns me in dropping that kind of money for something that would not look good next to the Mark I.

  8. Jim says:

Not Sideshow production, and I don’t own the Mark I… but it looks from the approximate measurements that they will definitely compliment each other – both look to be 1/4 scale to RDJ, who is only 5′8″ and that’s who these are based on – not the comic Iron Man, who is 6′1″. When asked in chat, they did say it was 1/4 scale.

  9. JC says:

I have another question for anyone that can answer; Hopefully someone from the design team. In relation to the Mark I maquette with this new Mark VI maquette can we expect a scale difference between them or will the scale of both compliment each other? With close to a $500 price I really would like to know.

  10. EliCash says:

Whenever I play online poker I look at this bust, and it inspires me to kick ass.

  11. JC says:

Thanks for the info Jason the Great. It makes a lot of sense.

  12. Jason the great says:

JC, iron man is 6′ 1″. If the statue is 17″ at 1:4th scale he would be 5′ 6″. If he’s at 1:5th scale he is 7ft. However with the platform & angle that Iron Man is on, the statue appears to be 1:5th scale. Hope that helps :)

  13. JC says:

Can anyone confirm if the size is 1/5 scale or 1/4 scale? At 17″ in Height and the pose it’s hard to determine.

  14. Jason the great says:

For a “small” name plate how can SS justified charging $5 for the exclusive? It should be larger (just like the LSB). If it’s smaller then a pinky, it should be free! Remember back in the days that EX were free. Whatever happen to those days? :(

  15. Arizheat says:

I agree with Irongirl, that the thigh should have more red in it. Other than that, looks like the best one Sideshow has created so far.

  16. Irongirl says:

On the statue’s upper leg. Shouldn’t it has some red, not all gold? I ordered my but some more red on the leg would be really nece.

  17. Jason the Great says:

I guess it’s harder to sell a $499 statue then a $299 statue? Compare this to the Iron Man comiquette on eBay, it’s a great substitute especially that it goes for more then $1k. Just noticed that SS changed the LSB eyes of Black Cat. Great job SS!

  18. Philippe says:

Hi Roof1975, Now you make total sense. I agree with you that you need to have some focus and know what you want. If not you can’t blame it to SS not to be able to have it all. Understand now it’s what you meant. So focus on Star Wars and rotating out my Marvel items ;-) … but this Iron Man still looks great. Too bad the Exclusive is only a name plaque. Well put my reservation anyway and still have time to think about it. Cheers.

  19. The king says:

For all u guys commenting about the price!!! R u guys happy!!!! I mean sideshow did it ….! Great statue, with a light up feature for both regular and exclusive, for a very fair price…. Sideshow u did it again. Great job! Keep up the good work.

  20. SupaRand says:

hey guys, is it me or are his legs a little too bulky compared to his torso?

  21. Jason the great says:

Surprising that this isn’t sold out yet after 2 hours of newsletter launch?

  22. Ben says:

Isnt this the Mark IV and not VI?

  23. JP says:

Beautiful piece… got to have it!!!

  24. Eddie says:

    Hell Yeah… Got one!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Daniel says:

If this statue is 499 then I might cancel my hulk buster iron man and save some cash for this.

  26. Roof1975 says:

Daniel I’m the same. It’s crazy when they have so many variations on something. I tend to just like owning one definite version of something, so I am able to have a varied collection and be able to afford different things. ie I have the Predator Maquette. That’s all I need. That says it all right there. I’ll get the Jack Sparrow PF. Done, that’s all I will need. Says it all. etc Same for this piece. I’ll sell my Hot Toys Iron Man and just own this. Good enough.

  27. Roof1975 says:

Well exactly Phillipe. Just saying people don’t need to get sad or cry or complain about the price or they have to sell pieces in their collection to get one lol If you’re constantly rotating things in your collection to get other collectibles, that’s gotta say something too. Anyway, this statue is kick ass! I’m gonna get one myself! It will be 1/4 scale and $499. There will be an EX and regular as well!

  28. trevor evans says:

yeah does anyone know what time the newsletter is released in the day . im from the uk and i normally recieve the newsletter on a friday afternoon !! which is way too late for this . would be appreciated for any info so i can sit patiently today for it :-)

  29. T-Tone says:

Should be 6 pm pacific. Thats what customer service said earlier when i called

  30. BJG says:

News….what Pacific time will that be? Thanks.

  31. news says:

JP88 – It will be available when the newsletter comes out later today.

  32. JP88 says:

Does anyone know why this is not available for pre-order yet?

  33. DJ says:

No sense talking prices if no one even knows what scale it will be…..

  34. oncowcow says:

no offence SS…. but based on the quantity of new statue you produced in these few years…. we all have to buy additional display case, power outlet bar and another few big home…. just getting very headache to dust cleaning all statues on display… As long as it’s less than $500 I’m in =P

  35. Jason the great says:

I forgot to mention, platinum is the most expensive, gold 2nd, Silver 3rd medal etc :) In my opinion, sideshow should use movie license (Legacy) for formats on 1:1 & 1:2 scales. All other scales at 1:4, 1:5 or 1:6th should be in Premium Format or Comiquette. This would make the average Joe able to afford it & the higher income people the larger scales.

  36. Jason the great says:

Daniel & Roof1975, based on Iron Man Mark 1 maquette it was $399.99. When u add another license or company into it, the cost almost doubles. Just look at Alien or Predator maquette for a 1:4th statue. In my opinion, u get a little more detail versus another maquette that had no movie license company. Sideshow is just paying a Royalty fee to Legacy. I think SS should had made a PF instead of this. However, I think this statue will be $700 based on light up feature. I would consider Maquette statues (platinum), Premium Format (Gold) & comiquette (silver)…. Bowen (though not SS, I would classified as Bronze). ;) just a thought lol.

  37. Philippe says:

Hi Roof1975, No offense taken. Very enlightening comment. Maybe some of us are in the right tax bracket but have other life priorities than collecting statues :-) Not to offend anyone, I’m just saying ;-) By the way we love you Sideshow and wouldn’t be looking for any other alternatives. Keep hurting our wallets.

  38. Daniel says:

Roof1975 I can afford sideshow statues but when one character gets made multiple times in a expensive format it gets fusterating. I just want a comiquette version of iron man moc 3 and 4 from the movie. Also I wont pay 700 to 1000 on a statue, 400 is my limite.

  39. Roof1975 says:

I want this too guys. But to be honest, if you can’t afford all this stuff from Sideshow, it’s not because they are being mean and like to charge you alot of money. You are just in the wrong hobby with price points out of your range, and you’re in the wrong tax bracket, if you struggle to afford this stuff. That’s why there is always more affordable alternatives. It might not be as tall as you, or stand 2 feet on your shelf, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Not to offend anyone, I’m just saying.

  40. DJ says:

So what scale is this?? Nothing I have read says what scale it is. It has to be either 1:4 or 1:2.

  41. Philippe says:

Thanks Luis. Made my choice to focus on SW and bye bye Marvel ladies… but Darth Talon and Aurra Sing are coming ;-) Sideshow is killing me now with Captain Jack Sparrow and this Mark VI. Seems both like a must have. :-)

  42. daniel bowyer says:

When will we EVER see a comiquette version of these iron man maquette’s. So far they haven’t made any affordable Iron man statue’s based on the movie. I hope they know that were not all made of money and can’t afford to spend 700 to 1000 on a statue.

  43. nelson says:

I really need living room furniture,If I keep blowing money on these statues my wife is going to leave me……oh!well!

  44. joeprox says:

O not again!!! a have to go trough my staff again and check my storage what statue need to go to ebay to sell so will have money for this Awesome Statue :)

  45. JC says:

    Iron Man Mark IV PF????????

  46. luis says:

I agree with Philippe…. I have tons of things that I am runnig out of place to display…. and a lot of things still in boxes, but some things are to good to pass on. So I need to get a count on all the SW figures, the SW FP and the Marvel PF and see how to arrange all of them. Still waiting for this Iron-Man PF… and Optimus and many others…

  47. Philippe says:

Is it an idea or Sideshow is running on overdrive… so many new great stuff coming in. Star Wars PF, Marvel PF, POC PF, Indy PF… so now is the choice to live broke in a Sideshow warehouse full of boxes we can’t display but must have or to just let go… let go… but not this one ;-)

  48. RAF007 says:

OPTIMUS PRIME??? Talk about a lack of updates, sideshow please throw us TF fans a bone!

  49. Irongirl says:

Finally an real Ironman. An Ironman we can afford(I think?). The last Ironman comiquette looks horrible with that big jaw it has. This one is a must have.

  50. vekster says:

please sideshow for the love of god make it affordable for the rest of us mere mortals.

    under 500$ please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  51. cardo says:

WOW! looks awesome me personally won’t be getting this since first I don’t collect movie pieces and second I prefer the V armor, but for those that like it looks good so far..Now bring on some turtles, marvel comiquettes or street fighter and count me in!!

  52. ZRINZO says:

Jesus christ, why I dont have money!!!!!!!!!

  53. Keith Prentice says:

I can already see the price tag… my guess is between 600 to 800 bucks. I sure hope I’m wrong! Maquettes are always twice as much as normal PFF’s

  54. Atheris666 says:

Ive been suckered in and let down before…twice infact. First with the 1:1 bust and then the 1:2. Im not biting or holding my breath on this one. The curse is strong with IM….beware!

  55. james casey says:
