  1. chris germany says:

also waiting for the 12 inch
jason part 5 and 8,its time sideshow

  2. MANITOU says:

Very beautiful masterpiece for my collection! I hope that the figurines of part 5 part and 8 will later come to be added to 12 inch figurine of JASON

  3. Patrick Work says:

Yes! The more Jason Voorhees/Friday the 13th the better. Where is Part 5 Roy and Part 8 Jason??? What about an Adrienne King ‘Alice’…..Kimberly Beck ‘Trish’, etc figures???? Huh Sideshow???

  4. zAr says:

    yes more jason

  5. Odell says:

I think it is unmasked as well…from the video they did they showed his face without the mask. I agree we need to do more horror. Anyone that really loves horror figures checkout “OnmuphuckinOne” on youtube. He is a genius at his artwork on figures.

  6. shawn says:

This statue looks to be very detailed and I will not miss out this time in owning one. I can’t wait!!!

  7. Zandy says:

Sideshow let’s do more horror please…i am inspired :D

  8. Zandy says:

Unmask face will be super!, switch out right hand with machete could be another option

  9. RESIN1 says:

I’m guessing and hoping LIFESIZE! Well, I am an axe wielding homicidal maniac too!

  10. chris f says:

Blade seems a bit small for that length of a handle.

  11. jason the great says:

looking at this again and the axe handle seems a little big compare to the blade. The scale seems off a little bit. I would increase the size about 20% based on the handle. I hope sideshow fixes this as they did with the LSB Black Cat’s eye.

  12. oknaka says:

From the Inside Look, the Exclusive version should include an unmask head, a Zombie look

  13. Zandy says:

Terrific!, any idea about the exclusive version?

  14. Oldboy says:

This is the best news that i received in months from sideshow newsletters today

  15. Michael says:

Looks cool, most likely too expensive :(
I gotta say, I was also hoping for a 12 inch figure from the remake, not a statue. Guess Sideshow is done with affordable collectables.

  16. Xeno says:

I have to agree with Shel’s comment but would also like to add another axe detail that urks me.

Jason is a psycho killer and if he was trolling through the woods looking for a kill carrying the axe over his shoulder, the axe blade would be facing upward. This would make the sculpt appear more dynamic and as though he’s ready to swing it over his shoulder at a half naked camper on a moments notice. Believe it or not but the downward facing axe blade dramatically softens up the sculpt. -Xeno

  17. Shel says:

Very NICE. Can’t wait to see the full reveal – especially considering that this looks to be a more “classic” take on the monster that many of us grew up with – and not the remake appearance (which, in itself, wasn’t a bad look – it just wasn’t that great a Friday).

And, like many, I’m also hoping that it’s at least 12″ tall, if not taller.

That being said, I do have one nit to pick – and it’s something that’s plagued “almost” every Jason that’s ever been packaged with an axe. Has anyone, who actually sculpts these things, actually USED an axe in their lives? I mean, sure, there are axes with rather large heads – but, c’mon, the size of the blades featured with many of these pieces go beyond sensible to the point of being outright cartoony. If I could make one suggestion – it would be to visit a local hardware store and actually pick up a real axe – if only to get a better understanding of size and scale in comparison to the human body. It’s supposed to be an axe for splitting/chopping wood – not a Conan-esque battle axe! LOL!

Ok, I’ll get off of my soapbox now…

The figure still looks pretty darned cool though (and here’s to hoping that we get a choice of weapon props).

  18. Patrick says:

I soooo need this big time.

  19. Neil Murphy says:

A truly stunning figure & an essential purchase!!
My other Sideshow figures & statues had better watch their backs with this guy around!!!

  20. terri says:

sideshow what else can anybody say but top quality items you all make keep them coming

  21. Morten Jensen says:

Fantastic i hope its in 1/4 scale ;)

  22. richard says:

eh i think a remake 12″ figure would be better

  23. oknaka says:

I’m not a fan, but this one looks interesting enough to have changed my mind

  24. Jason the Great says:

    Sweet…must get!!

  25. BJG says:

Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!! Looks great!! Love this one as much as the first!!

  26. RAF007 says:

  27. gareth wilkinson says:

  28. gareth wilkinson says:
