I think anyway you look at it, the TRUE FANS, not resellers are coming out on top with this inclusive stuff & x-packs. I buy this stuff to display & enjoy(often spending money I shouldnt) & I think they look better displayed out of the package(my opinion). If you want this stuff for yourself then buy it, if not then dont buy it, nobody is gonna get rich off of reselling them. I would like to see all sorts of x-packs being released for all of SS’s figure lines. I would pay any amount(within reason) for a 1/6th version of an A-WING, hint-hint SS. Now give me a 1/6th Sora Bulq and nobody has to get hurt!!!!!
People, people.. some of you seem to be confused.. the 12″ Darth Maul is a SEPERATE item from the probe droid base. If you want the Maul but don’t want the droid base, that’s ok. You don’t have to order them both. You can buy the chocolate syrup and you can buy the milk, but they taste so good when together so why not buy both?

DarthFloyd, I think you might be a little confused. The Maul and the Droid Pack are two completely separate products, which will both have Inclusive Editions offered (meaning the will EACH have extra accessories and be able to be purchased separately). Hope that allays your fears

The only thing I am worried about is price. I heard these will be 30 bucks extra. If this is the case, please go back to exclusives. I got the exclusive editions for the exact same (or slightly higher) price as the regular version. more than half the price of the figure is a little too much to ask, unless you’re planning on dropping the figure down to 20 bucks a pop to make up the difference.
As for opening, I couldn’t disagree more. I buy the 12 inch figs (hasbro and Sideshow) to display in their boxes. There are only certain ones (like this maul) which I will get two of, so I can open one. Sorry, I just don’t have an extra 50 (or in this case, 80 if the accessory is 30 bucks) to spend on opened items.
I’m glad the expansion is going up at the same time, so we can add both the figure and the expansion to our cart and save a few bucks on shipping. Nice planning!
Expansion packs are definitely a welcome addition! How about Maul’s Sith Speeder! Wouldn’t THAT be a great accessory for this Sith lord? I know I’d buy one if Sideshow made it.
Great idea to have accessory packs. I’m hoping that you do this with the Lord of the Rings 12″ line. I’d love to see an accessory pack that includes items that aren’t included with the regular figures: i.e Aragorn’s elven knife, Legolas’s Lorien Bow, Quiver and Arrows, Boromir’s other cloak, etc. Thanks for all the great work!

why are people worried about secondary market value? buy the toys, open them, pose them, play with them, whatever……….dont sell them!! how bout a stormtrooper that could also double as a sandtrooper or vice versa with the right accessories?

Oh My Buddha! This figure is BEYOND insane! I love this Line, My Luke and Anakin are amazing and just the quick images of Maul show me they’re upping the anty! I love how the ordering window will insure being able to order him.
I also wanted to throw KUDOS to Sideshow for the correct scaling on Luke and Anakin. If Vader (armored… when you get to him, of course) is say 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch taller then Anakin… Oh man, you’ll be heroes!
Someone call Merrill Lynch b/c the absence of the exclusives will deflate secondary market prices, thereby promoting shy investment, which in turn will produce pressure on the market to raise interest rates on what banks pay to borrow money, passed on will demote consumer spending, sending our entire soft economy into a mini-recession!!!! DAMN YOU SIDESHOW!!!!!!! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELLLLLLL!!!!!

I think that maybe you’ve misunderstood, James. This isn’t the exclusive accessory, just sold separately… this is a completely additional accessory pack. There will still be an exclusive accessory that comes with Maul AND an exclusive accessory that comes with the Droid pack. Hope that clears things up!

Why is name calling the last resort of the desperate?
The reason these aren’t “pack-in accessories” is because people like you (James) would complain about the price being too high. SS can still offer exclusive accessories but offer bigger and more elaborate accessories that don’t break the budget of someone who can just live with purchasing the figure by itself!
Hey James - You should read the Inclusive edition text. The Inclusive edition is the exact same as the exclusive edition, in that it comes with multiple accessories not included with the regular edition. However, it is just limited to time, not a set edition size.
This expansion pack is icing on that cake. If you want it, you get it. If you don’t, you don’t. It doesn’t change the amount of accessories that come with the figure.
Why was this not offered as a pack-in accessory? I take it that since the new “inclusive” edition has replaced the Sideshow exclusive edition they found a way to sell the exclusive accessory seperately as a way o make more money. While the inclusive edition may satisfy all you johnny-cum-latelys out there who miss the exclusive editions, I have ordered every one of them without problems and this just seems like a bad idea to me. It will surely deflate secondary market value because inclusive editions will be produced in greater numbers and their is no exclusive accessory to warrant their rareity as a collectible.
Another great idea! If SS would offer a 12″ Hoth Han maybe we could see a 12″ version of the Probot droid sold as an accessory! A 12″ Chewbacca could get a Holographic Chess Table accessory with little peices made like the minaturized Darth Sideouses that came with the 12″ Anakin figure. A 12″ Slave Leia could come with a Skiff Deck Gun or a few dwarf-sized Aliens from Jabba’s Court. Since SS did a poll on Yoda recently, think of all the accessories SS could sell with Yoda. I’m also with Astro666 and would gladley buy accessories for previously offered figures! How about Council Chairs for Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Mace. Luke could get some Endor Gear and a sliced-up Speeder Bike.
How about that SS? We’re already getting the heads of dead bounty hunters. SS could offer things like “battle-damaged” accessories like torsos’ of Stormtroopers or Rebels. SS could even offer small “dioramic” bases to put the 12″ figures on, kind’of like what the Hasbro Unleased line does but scale to 12″ figures.
Anybody else interested in something like this?

Sideshow, you might take a while to get your products released but it is worth the wait. I only order one of each of your Star Wars products but I think that I will be buying two Darth Mauls now that you have declared your willingness to satisfy every customer with the inclusive editions!
