Sean Connery as James Bond Legacy Edition 12-inch Figure
James Bond 12-inch Figure - Legacy Edition James Bond Legacy Edition 12-inch Figure
  1. John says:

I have an old Sean Connery as James Bond from Dr. No. I want to list it accurately on ebay. In the unopened package are 2 small gold objects. Can someone help me identify them?

  2. Mark Watson says:

You gotta do a Mr. Wint & Mr. Kidd action figure that says: “Strange, everyone who touches those diamonds…seems to die.

  3. MEANIEE says:

the Dr. No head sculpt is the best. this one is kind of weak.

we neeeeeed the grey suit version of Connery.

  4. Drew Cook says:

It’s always a good thing that another Sean Connery as 007 figure is to be released, but I agree with some of the other’s comments — not much new here.

It would have been great to see the figure in the classic suit Bond’s creator Ian Fleming usually dressed him in — dark blue suit, white silk shirt, black knitted tie, black shoes — a look Connery as Bond often shared on screen.

A gray three-piece suit with the “Thunderball” jet pack and helmet would’ve been nice, too.

  5. Shaun says:

Sideshow, we need accessory packs! Clothing, weapons and gadgets.

  6. Ron says:

I noticed a lot of comments about expansion packs for those who already have the Bonds. I guess this new idea is okay for those who do not already have any Sean Connery’s (since they are now all expensive eBay items), at least someone can get a Sean while it is more affordable. Heck, I just take my extra Seans and Pierce’s and put them in other outfits (Firefighters, WWII stuff and use them as actors).

But the expansion packs SHOULD be considered. Even the Platoon expansion packs sold out and I’ve never seen any on eBay.

  7. Ron says:

Expansion packs could be a great idea. I would buy many of them for most of the lines I collect.

  8. bondio says:

another connery’s action figure!! are not enought the existing connery’s figures? bond’s films are full of beautifull caracters: baron samedi, mr. goldfingers, grace jones from octopussy, hugo drax from goldfinger, diana rigg as bond’s wife…
why another connery? the same of dr no, but whit a different outfit. I have enought.

  9. godspony says:

    thanks guys! good work!

  10. SEAN CONNERY says:

I hope he comes with a shoulder holster for his Walther like in the the pre-title Goldfinger scene. You know he has a slight inferiority complex.

  11. Jeff says:

Looks great…Like the Connery on the poster of Diamonds Are Forever and the opening of Goldfinger. Wheres the red carnation and the Walther PPK? How about Mr. Wint & Mr. Kidd from Diamonds Are Forever, another Jaws, another ‘Q’ and another Pierce with different sculpt.

  12. stuart Mckell says:

Great to see more 12″ bond figures, but as a spy fan how about James Coburn as in “Our man flint”,or maybe “the man from uncle” illya and Napoleon” Stick with the 60’s feel,Micheal cain as in “The Itilian Job”,or as Jack Carter in “Get Carter”. Maybe Clint Eastwood as “dirty Harry”, or even Steve Mccqueen as in “Bullit”,or as the the coolest race driver in “Le mans”. Another 12″ figure i would love have is The Great Clint Eastwood as in “A fist full of Dollars”,why not add Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach as in “The good, the bad,the ugly”,and sticking with the claasic cowboy feel those 7 brave heroes, i thought were the business as a boy in my favourite western film “The magnificent seven”,come on you dudes at sideshow give us the heroes we all want (well me anyway!).Thanks stu.

  13. John E. Matty says:

Hi, thanks for making this new Connery available. I didn’t manage to get other figures due to purchasing Universal Monsters and Wild West personalties. Great look, and I like the idea of the white tux. Thanks again. If it wouldn’t be too much trouble could you email me when this is available? John

  14. edward diaz says:

Been waiting for a Connery Bond with the white Tux jacket.
However is this a new head sculpt we are seeing, it resembles the DR.NO head sculpt and/or the Goldfinger.
Where is the red carnation, it is not evident here. Why cant the hair have a little highlighting in it and/or a strip of hair over the side of his forehead. Put a Legacy figure outhere go all out, Dont just redress an old figure…we can do that.

  15. buj says:

Perhaps there could be expansion packs for the Bond line like those for the Star Wars line? Thus there could be the Thunderball jet pack with grey suit or the Licence to Kill diving suit with manta ray disguise or The Spy Who Loved Me ski suit with parachute.

  16. Alexmann33 says:

No more figures we already have please… Cool costumes, but please sell them as packs… We’ll do the re-dressing ourselves!!

  17. Paul C says:

NOW PLEASE GIVE US AURIC GOLDFINGER, WAAAAAY PAST DUE!

ALSO MAYBE A CONNERY LIGHT GREY SUIT AS AN ACCESSORY — IT WAS HIS ICONIC SUIT AFTER ALL, OH AND HOW ABOUT A BELL JET ROCKET PACK WITH REMOVEABLE HELMET!

  18. Paul C says:

PLEASE DON’T FORGET HE WORE A RED CARNATION IN THIS VERY BRIEF BUT UNFORGGETABLE OPENING SEQUENCE OF “GOLDFINGER”.

  19. RUFUS IS THE MAN says:

I think the Iconic Bond figure idea is great! All the Bonds with lot’s of outfits and accessories from different movies in one figure! I think you should also do and Iconic allies line with Felix, Q, R, Moneypenny, M, etc. Also an Iconic villian line with key villains such as Goldfinger, Largo, Grant, Klebb, etc. Don’t forget the key Bond girls like Honey Ryder. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

  20. William Marcus says:

Thank goodness, you’re still releasing more 12″ figures from this range. But what next ? Roger Moore from ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ in his bright banana yellow ski suit with union jack parachute ? Or Timothy Dalton in his parachute / leather gear from ‘The Living Daylights’ ? If so, I would expect some variation in the head sculpts to entice me to buy. I don’t want replicas of the same figures. You could do an older version of Roger Moore from ‘Octopussy’, clad in his red shirt / knife throwing circus costume ( with clown disguise ). Or perhaps an older version of Connery from ‘Never Say Never Again’. I also agree that you should do more Bond villains & Girls. These should be the head of any want list :

    1. Donald Red Grant
    2. Honey Ryder
    3. Emilio Largo
    4. Auric Goldfinger
    5. Blofeld ( Donald Pleasance )
    6. Blofeld ( Charles Gray )
    7. Hugo Drax
    8. Gobinda
    9. MayDay
    10. Max Zorin

Please don’t take this as negative criticism. It’s just that this line has so much more potential and variety for its built-in fan base. And yes, I probably will buy this figure just to complete my collection …

  21. Trudie says:

Awesome! Thanks Sideshow for adding to the 12inch Bond line. I’m definately getting this figure to add to my collection. For any new figures how about Moneypenny, Felix Leiter (David Hedison), Blofeld (Donald Pleasence)& Solitaire.

  22. Jamez Bonde says:

PS - let’s not forget Daniel Craig as we enter the release of Casino Royale.

  23. Jamez Bonde says:

How many figures have been released in the last couple of years - maybe two?! and this is what we have to show for it?! While we all love Connery as Bond, is it necessary to see yet another one?

Let’s please consider the following, in no specific order.

    1) M - Bernard Lee
    2)Honey Ryder – Ursula Andress
    3)Miss Moneypenny – Lois Maxwell
4)James Bond – Sean Connery – From Russia With Love – with hat and flare gun
5Donald ‘Red’ Grant – Robert Shaw
    6)Rosa Klebb – Lotte Lenya
    7)Auric Goldfinger – Gert Frobe
    8)Emilio Largo, SPECTRE #2 – Adolfo Celi
    9)Kananga/Mr. Big – Yaphet Kotto
    10)Nick Nack - Herve Villechaize
    11)Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Donald Pleasence)

  24. Zack says:

The new Bond looks awesome. But still waiting for the possibility of a James Bond in the greay suit that he wears in From Russia With Love.

  25. pumuckl says:

    Where is AURIC GOLDFINGER?????????

We have now TWO Goldfinger Bonds!!! One Odd Jobb , One P. Galore!! BUT NO AURIC GOLDFINGER!!! WHY???

AURIC GOLDFINGER (GERD FRÖBE) IS THE NUMMBER ONE VILLAIN or
BAD GUYS in the hole James Bond Films Series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  26. Terry says:

Where’s the red carnation??? You should sell nude 007’s and clothing outfits separately for us customizers.

  27. RUFUS IS THE MAN says:

You’ve got to finish the premium format line with a Dalton, Craig, and Lazenby figure. Keep up the good work on the 12″ legacy line! More Connery, Brosnan, and Dalton movie figures!

  28. mark osborne says:

well yes one of the bonds needed to be in the dinner jacket. and i agree…please more villains-donald pleasance as blofeld with that hideous scar, and the cat too this time please. wint and kidd pretty novel too don’t you think.

  29. RUFUS IS THE MAN says:

GREAT JOB! I hope he comes with the black outfit and napsack that goes over the white tux in the pre-title Goldfinger sequence. It would be great to have each actor with lot’s of accessories and clothes from different movies. Connery could come with the Dr. No blue beach outfit, White Tux Jacket, shoulder holster, ar-7, ppk, spike shoe, etc.

  30. DTH says:

This is exactly what I wanted Thank Sideshow! Bring on more Bonds!

  31. chris says:

this is definitly shaken not stirred

  32. Lazenby says:

Thank you Sideshow! If I didn’t love you enough before, I love ya even more.

  33. Pierced Brat says:

I agree about concentrating on the supporting actors, rather than sticking a new jacket on an existing figure. Could Sideshow produce accessory packs with clothes and props to use on existing figures?

I’ve got the whole set though, so will probably buy the new figures…. they are so cool.

  34. STEVE says:

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN I CAN ORDER ONE.

  35. Kelly W. Crane says:

Awesome! I love you Sideshow - you are the best!

  36. Terry says:

GREAT!!! MORE VILLAINS & BOND IN “NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN”

  37. Terry says:

GREAT!!! MORE VILLAINS & BOND IN “NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN”

  38. Athena007 says:

    Sweet!!!
    commanderbond.net

  39. CONNERY says:

GREAT JOB! Accessories are key. I hope he comes with an accurate shoulder holster and ppk. Next should be Dalton in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS with the leather jacket, Brosnan from DIE ANOTHER DAY in the sweater and black pants and boots. Lazenby in tux.

  40. Shaun says:

Looking forward to seeing more info about this. I don’t have a Bond figure and would love to get the Dr. No one but it’s sold out. If I could get this one and Sideshow would release accessory packs like clothes, weapons, gadgets, that would be great.

  41. Ron says:

I was looking forward to more characters from the films. Maybe if Sideshow would just do some proper surveys to see which characters we want next, they would sell better. Lots of bad guys we haven’t seen yet: Donald Grant (Robert Shaw), Blofeld (Donald Pleasance and Max von Sydow), Max Zorin (Christopher Walken), May Day (Grace Jones), Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint and WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL BOND GIRLS (Ursula Andress, Jill St. John, Jane Seymour, Britt Ekland, Barbara Bach, Lois Chiles, Barbara Carrera, Kim Basinger, Tanya Roberts, Maryam d’Abo, Teri Hatcher, Denise Richards, etc.)? I am FAR more intersested in more bad guys and Bond girls than more James Bonds. We already HAVE all five James Bonds. Thanks anyway.

  42. RolandofGilead says:

Yup, this will be my chance to get a great looking Connery Bond. I’ve been tempted by the Thunderball version, and am on the Wait List for the Dr. No edition. This would be perfect.

  43. Phantom11 says:

Hm. Looks like the Goldfinger Connery headsculpt, the Beretta, white shirt and bowtie from the Connery Dr. No, and I’m betting the trousers and shoes from that figure, too. Well, at least the white jacket’s new, although I’ve never really been a fan of that look. At least it’ll give those who missed getting a Connery Bond another chance to do so. A better figure would have been one in a new gray suit with the jetpack from Thunderball. I’ll pass on this one.

  44. Tony says:

Great! But what about more role specific wardrobes? Live the Grey suit and Jet PAck from Thunderball, Naval Commander uni from You Only Live Twice and Spy who loved me, NInja suit from YOLT, etc.,

  45. C.Martin says:

Great timing! I was just remarking recently how I should have at least one James Bond figure in my collection!

  46. Claudio Puviani says:

My “Dr. No” Bond came with both the Beretta and the PPK. It seems a bit small for it to be an exclusive accessory.

  47. buj says:

The Beretta pistol is a nice touch. All too often the Walther is showcased and the Beretta that Connery turned in is forgotten. Perhaps it is the exclusive item for this figure?

  48. Neil says:

Donald pleasance as Blofeld,Emille Largo,Red Grant,Rosa Klebb,Bernard Lee as M,Sean Connery in grey suit with Thunderball rocket belt,Felix Leiter with expansion pack offering different heads to represent various actors,1/6 Aston Martin DB5 with gadgets and Sideshow Exclusive “ejectable” Korean Thug.

    And then i woke up….:0(

  49. Allan says:

Nooooooooooooo! Just when I thought I could consider my Bond collection complete and account closed. Now I’ve got to buy more!

  50. Kris says:

Thanks, Sideshow!! Looks awesome!! Keep ‘em coming…the reason that I started collecting in the first place was due to your 12″ Bond line. Bond lives!! Keep ‘em coming!! How about a Timothy Dalton in his winter leather from “The Living Daylights”?!?!?!?!?!??!

  51. Dave C says:

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE BOND I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Sideshow! I can’t wait for new 007 figures!!!!!!!!

  52. DarkArtist81 says:

    YES!!!!! You guys rock!
