I think I´m now clear over wich movie this Brosnan figure is from: Goldeneye. His suit matches the one he wears when meating M and Tanner. It´s got two buttons, a center vent and a ticket pocket, plus that he wears it with a dark blue tie.
i think the sculpt from matt falls is great but why don t you use for a change the same sculpt from the premium format version on this one.it will be great to see a more young and thinner brosnan.from goldeneye.please change the sculpt on the legacy series.they are the same from before.
I agree. That tie looks like the exact same tie they used on Skinner. Please put more work into your clothing. I want to see a formal suit that actually looks formal.
Mmmmmmmm, after reading the reviews from other bond fans and sideshow customers i have to agree,it seems like you boys are running out of Bond ideas! Come on guys theres shed loads of characters to do here:Rosa Klebb,Red grant,Largo,Goldfinger,Blofeld(yolt)Stromberg,Drax,,Felix Lieter,Moneypenny,m.You know what we want here fellas come on get sculpting!Cheers Stu.
Didn’t Bond get his suits tailored on Saville Row? The fit on the Legacy Brosnan’s suit seems far more “Men’s Wearhouse” to me. The knot on the tie is way out of scale, giving Pierce’s effigy the look of a Wal-Mart manager rather than a suave secret agent. The fit and materials don’t warrant a $45 price tag on a pre-existing sculpt. It’s a great concept guys, but poorly exectuted.
This is exactly what I wanted in a Bond figure. The outfit is very Bondish and dosn’t seem like it’s out of character. Anyway thanks Sideshow for this one. I’ll be expecting great things from the Bond line.
Bond. What can I say? Not really a big fan, but this figure looks tight, and the likeness is certainly dead-on; but it IS sideshow, afterall.
Don’t worry Andy, it is inevitable that we will get a new Dalton and it will likely be the black leather jacket. This IS the Legacy collection. I only hope we get a new head sculpt for Dalton since he did not have the sideburns and combed back hair like he did in License to Kill. A new head sculpt is MANDATORY for a Living Daylights Dalton.
Nice job! I will buy one for sure.
It looks like that maybe they are selling particular actors that have sold out and are expensive to get, so help fans get ones they still need. Of course, for those who already have all of them, extra accessories would be very nice, and even some accessory packs.
I agree with Sean Connery, please don’t do the boring thing and bring out Roger Moore, please please please can Dalton be next in line for both 12″ and PF treatment. Dalton has a massive fan base as Bond and as of yet feel that the Bond line has been over saturated with Brosnan, Connery and Moore.
Thanks Sideshow
No, no, no we don’t want the same things re-hashed we want new ones M & Goldfinger would be at the top of my want list.
Have to be boring and agree with others here-pity to see same head again and again but the suit idea is good. Have to agree with ‘Mr Connery’ from above - cell phone would be good and would like to see watches with all of the Bond figures - especially for Pierce where the gadgets revolved around the watch. Also, along with everyone else, a new sculpted Dalton in the leather jacket would be fantastic - that’s the Bond image that I grew up with!
O.K., so having pierce Brosnan in a suit was always a distinct possibility. I suppose in that way it captures the essence of his Bond - suave, svelte, sartorial elegance. The legacy series is a good idea, re-releasing each Bond, but with their own quintessential look. This figure is up to the usual high standards of quality, but it offers little in the way of surprises. How about in the future, releasing Brosnan in his black Goldeneye garb or the blue boiler suit from The World is Not Enough ?
Apart from the new Daniel Craig figure, I am looking forward to seeing a new version of Timothy Dalton ( with a new head sculpt ), preferably clad in his black parachute training gear / winter leather gear from The Living Daylights.
As for Moore & Lazenby, I just hope they don’t re-release them in black tuxedos ( save that for the premium format line and give us something else ). Perhaps they could appear in skiing outfits.
Let’s have more details and pictures of imminent releases very soon !
Ok, a new set of fogures is all well and good. I’ve collected the current Bond line and bought them all. However, if Sideshow want more of my money they are going to have to do more than stick a new set of clothes on a headsculpt they have released twice already.
Sideshow, you’re not even trying now. Ok, the iconic look of the Bonds. That sounds promising but please don’t just rehash what you have and release them to a fanbase who will lap it up. You owe it to your followers and the series’ fans to do something new and original with these headsculpts.
Give us something worth the extra money!
Pete
I hope he comes with a shoulder holster for his P99 and a cell phone. Next we need a Legacy and Premium format Dalton figure.
Great, I already have 2 Brosnan Bonds from sideshow, but I am a big enough fan to collect this new edition. I was actually thinking of purchasing extra Bond figures so I could bash them in different gear, well now I don’t have to. How about Dalton in his leather jacket fom The Living Daylights, or the beige windbreaker he wore later in the film during the roof chase. I think Dalton is one of the most underrated Bonds in the franchise. I just think he became Bond at an awkward time in the franchises history. I think he brought something different to the role and I think the new Bond Daniel Craig will borrow from his style the most. Lastly, is it possible for you guys to do some Bond Girls with plastic sculpted hair no roots, like your Jinx figure. I recommend Domino from Thunderball. Keep up the good work Sideshow !
Awesome stuff! I can’t wait for more of these! Fast time for reveals too, just like the original Bond line when we knew what was coming for months to come all at once. I prefer it that way to the Star Wars way of slow reveals.
That was fast! The Connery figure just went up for pre-order and now this.
Okay, so who is next?
It’s hard to tell from the picture but this looks like Bond in his business suit from The World Is Not Enough, perhaps?
