Announcing Scum and Villainy 12-inch Figures

Lords of the Sith

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."

- Obi-Wan Kenobi

Greedo - Scum and VillainyIn every dark corner of every spaceport in the galaxy, shady deals are being cut by hooded figures with untraceable currency. Down dank alleyways, crawling with vermin and dripping with industrial waste, desperate rogues stalk their unwary prey in cities with exotic names. Huddled over their thick drinks in grey, swirling shisha smoke-filled bars and watering holes on a thousand different worlds, seedy opportunists and listless barflies sip their intoxicating brews and scheme or dream of power and riches to be made or long since lost. This is the galaxy's grimy underworld, where life is cheap and fortunes are exchanged at the barrel of a blaster- the world of scum and villainy.

Marginalized even in the days of the Old Republic, great chunks of the galactic populace found themselves the outcast trash of the galaxy. Whether forced by cruel circumstance or lured by the promise of power and glory, many found their way into crime, and under the rule of the Empire, shady opportunists and dealers willing to trade in forbidden goods thrived. Wherever injustice existed, the afflicted would seek distraction in illegal substances or freedom through force of arms. In either case, the galaxy-spanning underworld waited readily to supply.

Greedo - Scum and VillainyLeft to their own devises by both the Empire and Republic, the Hutts were among the most obvious to profit from such trade, building vast criminal cartels on the proceeds of extortion, gun running, spice trafficking and slavery. Employing enforcers, fawners and lackeys of all kinds, the slug-like Hutts expanded their influence throughout the Outer Rim, while, closer to the Core, more subtle operations, such as the sinister Black Sun Syndicate, raked quiet fortunes from beneath the feet of the establishment.

In a galaxy full of crime, bounty hunters of all manner and description fulfilled a much needed role, apprehending fugitives on behalf of over-stretched local planetary law enforcement and even grand militaries already occupied with wars on a larger scale. Within the criminal underworld, bounty hunters were a police force of sorts, but one that answered to cold, hard cash rather than any form of law based on principles or ideals.

Like blood, crime runs through the spaceway-veins of the galaxy, sustaining that great body's myriad cells with its ever-flowing life, and feeding the parasites that cling to its underbelly.

  3. Jonathan says:

Hello. What it would seem you the reproduction Gunray Viceroy? Their gear is incredible, mainly that of the Episode III. it would be a very good figure.

  4. wormlander says:

    I VOTE FOR OOLA

  5. John says:

  6. []D [] []V[] []D says:

I am going to have to say Jango and Boba Fett would be the best option and double packed and highly detailed.
    BOUNTY HUNTERS ARE

    []D [] []V[] []D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Leafy says:

I got my Jabba the Hutt today - was not quite prepared for just how big and how awesome he is. This is now my pride and joy. If you habven’t got one and are on the fence as to wether you want to get one or not - all i can say is - do - you won’t be disapointed.

Just can’t wait to get my site back up and running so i can get a photo of him on there.

    Peace

    Leafy x

  8. Rory says:

I wonder will we ever see a Momaw Nadon, Aurra Sing or Tessek? Those characters are high on my wish list! I’d shell out the 60 bucks no sweat!

  9. Seattle Guy says:

Explain to me how the Jabba throne can be sold out, but no tthe Jabba fig itself? Also explain whay you made more thrones than you did Jabbas. I wonder if you actually mean “sold out” or if you mean “we have plenty but must make it seem that they are scarce so we can slowly throw them out for sale to make our quarterly earnings look better to keep this license.”

  10. Mangler says:

For me I just want that you made the rebbo band
And not the rebbo band of the special edition but the original
Or sideshow could made Ree eyes or Squid Head?
    Ohh that be a dream!!!

  11. Darth Mel says:

A Luke Skywalker & a Princess Leia for 12″ figures? Come on now… feed the masses for more Jedis & Siths!!! I’ll want the Yavin 4 Skywalker anyway… is it in his pilot gear or his Ceremonial outfit? “Celebration IV ever”

  12. Tyler says:

How about a Oola or IG-88? How cool would that be?

  13. brandon says:

We definatly need SLAVE LEIA for this Jabba, sorry Sideshow without Leia in Chains this set is incomplete.I LOVE MY JABBA !He is enormous!

  14. Josh (SSG's Tycho) says:

I just got my SideShow Jabba the Hutt and Throne. It is the best purchase I can possibly make in 2007! This set is HUGE!
I set him up with 8 of my Hasbro 12″ figures and he even makes them look good (including small-head 1997 Boba Fett)

I am impressed SideShow! (I saw him at Comic Con when I ordered him, but it’s been a while) He ships in a carton the size of a small aquarium, and I’d make the kind of room you’d need for a 20″ TV set. But this guy’s worth it!

  15. Justin Timothy says:

How,s it going Sideshow, Jango and Boba Fett would be the best if created that especially if it were a double pack.
    (Boba stinks in Medicom.)Greedo,Bossk,Dengar,and maybe
IG-88woube cool too. ?!?!?!Bounty Hunters rock?!?!?!
    “Bye Sideshow” :)
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

the good un please thank for création’s m. shideshow

    excellent création’s thank you

  17. Chris says:

    Sideshow,
I am excited after the Bubo pack, but…
Please do the Max Rebo Band and Oola at least before you stop the Jabba diorama. They are must haves. Gentle Giant is doing 1/6 scale version of the band and Oola is on their Jabba Statue. I know you can do them awesomely. It would be a shame to not have those characters in your Jabba’s court. If the current female figure won’t work for Oola, I would even take a limited articulation Oola figure just to be able to put her in the diorama. I would also love the 3 dancers too, but I know those would just be gravy. Come on Sideshow. You guys can do it.

  18. Cornhelium says:

I also would love to see a Sideshow Bossk.

  19. Matt says:

It’s been a while, but I think that the time has come to say….BOSSK! Or if Sideshow wants to keep on the Jabba theme, a Gamorrean Guard would be so sweet! The Hasbro one really bites the big one. I’m thinking that it would be a little more expensive since they’re so big, but I’d be willing to fork over the dough for a badass Gamorrean Guard! And BOSSK!

  20. Axonn says:

Thank You, Sideshow, for having the balls to tackle something as huge as this behemoth-sized Jabba. Clearly we can all see that there is a market for large items (as opposeed to what another 3 3/4″ company thinks), they’re all pre-sold out!
So, if you plan on creating more denizens of the palace, just remember that any party without music is boring… so, i vote for the Max Rebo Band.
How about it? I would sell a kidney to get a Max/Sy/Droopy 3-Pack. (maybe even my own kidney!)

  21. DavidD says:

So, Bubo, huh? I saw the rumor thingy on RS.com. THANK YOU SIDESHOW! ive never bought from you before (id like to buy Kit soon, after saving up) but i just may start with him. So cute! Now we need Zam Wessell, and Jango, and Tarkin. Thatd be the BEST!

  22. Tyler R says:

I’d really like to see them continue with the Jabba the Hutt theme and give us a Klaatu (because God knows Hasbro can’t seem to get that one out there in the 3 3/4 line!) and Tessek, Ree Yees and a nice 14″ Amanaman would be very complimentary. The Bib Fortuna came out great, the final product couldn’t be nicer.

Boba will be out at some point in the near future. Why wouldn’t they, right?

  23. John says:

Sideshow and folks please lets try to do figures Hasbro hasnt already done before. Heres my wishlist:

Max Rebo with his redball organ
    Droopy McCool with flute
    Sy Snoodles with a microphone
Amanaman with his staff (heads all on it)
    Ephant Mon
    Ish Tibb
    Weequay with staff
    A Super Detailed Boba Fett
    Rystal
    Gretta
Lyn-me in a three pack as your endor trooper set
    Rancor Keeper
    Super detailed Gameorean Gaurd
    Ugnaughts
    Oola ( dream figure )
    B’omarr monk
    and Hermi Odle

great ideas for you sideshow now PLEASE make them for hungry ravenous fans such as myself

  24. Legion Emperor says:

I concure, there could be no clone army without Jango Fett. The son he raised and trained himself, Boba. Carved the Fett name into legend before dying in the sarlacc pit.

  25. Mike says:

just found out that Medicom will be doing a Real Action Heroes Boba Fett figure. does this mean you guys aren’t gonna do one? i certainly hope you guys DO make one! PLEEEEEEZ?!?!

  26. Doug says:

I think Boba or Jango should be the next 12″. I would buy two.

  27. JediCole says:

Personally I would love to see a Momaw Nadon (Hammerhead) figure in this scale. This Ithorian denizen of the Mos Eisley Cantina represented one of the most unique races of the Star Wars universe and would make an incredible 12″ scale figure. He’s long overdue for that treatment and would be ideally placed in the Scum and Villany line of figures. The exclusive could include a variation on his staff (as seen in the earliest metal miniatures and the latest Hasbro figure) and both versions would include a movie-accurate drinking cup.

Naturally I would also welcome any other patrons of the Cantina or members of Jabba’s Court, the other great congregation of unique species. A Ree-Yees figure in this scale would be fun.

  28. Prymus says:

I would like to see Durge or Garindan!

  29. Legion Emperor says:

As commander of the SS Legion I want to know what Matt is thinking. No Fett’s? are you crazy? Jaggo and Boba, the most deadly bounty hunters is the galaxy and the template for a badass republic army. Their the only bounty hunter’s to get the republic and rebels to watch there backs!!!!!

  30. Ricardo Delgado says:

    Probe Droid, please!

  31. Boba #2 says:

Where’d all the Bobas go. He doesn’t deserve to be sold out.

  32. James says:

I would like to see Ree Yees, Tessek, Gamorrean Guards (I’d buy two), and a few other familiar Hutt followers. Also a Lando Skiff Guard would be really sweet too.

All of the bounty hunters shown in Empire are a necessary addition to this line as well obviously. Boba Fett, Dengar, IG-88, Bossk, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss.

  33. Fraggle says:

Greedo! PLEASE do Greedo soon! I’ll buy both versions!!!!!

  34. Gary says:

I find it interesting that Bib is not on the top 10 sales list on the SS homepage. I am pretty sure he is a popular chahracter so I can’t quite figure it out especially with all the other figs of Jabba’s palace that are slated for release including Jabba himself.

  35. Matt says:

I do what I can buj, I do what I can. HAHA! BOSSK! I mean come on! He can regrow his limbs for crying out loud! It’s a no-brainer!

  36. buj says:

There you go Matt. There you go. Not only did you get a Bib for yourself, but you probably helped make it easier for the next collector out there to grab one too.

  37. Matt says:

Hey buj, notice anything new on the Sideshow page? Oh yeah, it’s Bib Fortuna. I guess it took little old me to get the proper attention HAHA!

  38. Matt says:

Yeah, thanks for sticking up for me against myself buj! Fix the webpage Sideshow! Bib might have sold out by now if he was listed anywhere on the page! Good thing for me though, cuz I just decided that I wanted to get him and there is still some left! Phew. BOSSK for Scum and Villiany! Screw the Fetts!

  39. Beaux says:

I hope they don’t make LUUKE

  40. buj says:

No need to put yourself down Matt. I would think that you were actually being helpful in pointing out an ommision to everyone, thus paving the way for possible improvements and/or updates to the site.

  41. Matt says:

buj, well that’s big DUH to me huh!? Sometimes I amaze even myself with my missing of the obvious.

  42. buj says:

Matt, you can use the search feature at the top and Bib should pop right up. Odd omission though not having Bib on the Star Wars product page.

  43. Matt says:

Has anyone noticed that there is no Bib Fortuna listed as a product, even though he is available? Where is he? How are we to order him?

  44. steeve says:

please now 12″pouce for make figurines futur
the épisode1 the king :fédération commerciale please

  45. scott says:

HAMMERHEAD, Greedo, or Walrus man. They were the first. THey were some of the best. Please start there.

  46. chris says:

good bonty hunters should be made into 12 figures, boba fett, jago fett, and it seems like they have forgotten about darth sidious(emporor) and yoda? 12″ figures of them would be cool to complete things as well as a 12″ of vader helmet and all.

  47. buj says:

I would like to see the Jabba skiff guards from ROTJ get the Sideshow treatment. Besides not being released before in the 12″ format, they all offer great sculpting opportunities for the Sideshow artists. Klaatu, Barada and Nikto next please.

  48. Matt says:

No offense to all the Boba/Jango lovers out there, but those are two of the 12″ figures that Hasbro actually managed to do a decent job with. I hope Sideshow holds off for a while on the Boba/Jango 12″, allowing them to concentrate their amazing talents on figures that really need a Sideshow makeover like…BOSSK! Pretty please with cherries on top! His arms would be easy, just do the same thing as Anakin’s gloved arm! And have a mouse driod as an exclusive, just like in Empire!

  49. chuck says:

OK Sideshow, what’s up with all of the secrecy for the Star Wars line? SDCC is over so at least tell us when you will “unveil” the next 12″ figure. Jabba, Bib and S. Crumb were so cool that I just can’t wait to find out what is in store next! Please give a hint at least! Please please please.

  50. Matt says:

I totally agree that it would be a nice gesture on Sideshow’s part to have free shipping or something for those of us that preordered the complete Jabba set, but they are trying to run a business here. Bossk! Bossk! Bossk! There has never even been a passable 12″ figure of Bossk. As one of the all around coolest looking aliens in the SW universe, it’s high time he was done right. Just look how amazing the GG mini bust is! Sideshow, PLEASE give Bossk the respect he deserves!!!

  51. Cirielle says:

Will we see any type of discount at all for ordering all 3????? I mean it would be really nice to get that!!!! Or at least a break on shipping??? Or both????????

  52. barryo says:

WOW AT THE PRICE……I KNEW IT WOULD BE A LOT MORE THAN THE 12″ FIGURES………AND REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE COST OF THE THRONE………BUT TO RE-CREATE THE SCENE WITH JABBA, THRONE, AND CREATURE PACK IS GONNA BE $350.00. TOO RICH FOR MY BLOOD BUT TO ALL THAT ARE WILLING TO FORK THAT AMOUNT OVER ENJOY. IT IS AN UNBELIEVABLE PIECE.

  53. Andrew Hammond says:

One word: DUROS!!!!! … I’m not sure exactly how scummy or villainous they are, but a really well done 12″ duros (from the original SW cantina) would make me weep tears of intergalactic joy! Let’s face it, there are so many of the original cantina aliens that have never seen plastic, much less 12 inches of it. A note to Sideshow: I know this next suggestion is NOT ’scum and villainy’, but I have to say it anyway: 12 INCH REBEL TROOPER!

  54. PSB81 says:

News just broke on other sites from SDCC, 12″ Jabba, Bib Fortuna, and Boussh are coming. Also a Salacious Crumb & Bobo accessory pack, and Jabba’s throne enviroment.

  55. JS in Rochester says:

    Hey!!!!!!!!!!
    .
    .
What about an actual movie-accurate Garindan? Hasbro really dropped the ball on their smaller and 12 inch figures of this cool character as far as making him look like the character from the movie. Watch Star Wars again and you will see how drastically different the face and costume are on the cheesy Hasbro offerings.
    .
    .
If not him, then maybe a really good Hammerhead or Zutton. What other characters would folks vote for?
Sideshow has really brought life back into this 12 inch Star Wars stuff. Fun indeed!

  56. watto(tatooine) says:

I am sure Sideshow will suprize us with new figures in the Scum an Villany line. Hasbro didn’t make a 12″ Kit Fisto. So it is safe to assume Sideshow will stay with the trend. Myself, I would like to see a 12″ Amanaman (cool with the staff and skulls!!!!), Jabba to scale with the 12″ figures, Yak Face(WOW!!!), a Gotal, Ree Yees, or Hermie Odle.

  57. Dwayne Pinkney says:

Greedo? Bossk? Boba Fett? Bib Fortuna? What can I say? Sideshow Star Wars figures are the only figures a fan needs in their collection. I still can’t believe the Jedi Luke…did you guys cut off Mark Hamill’s head or what? I don’t care who you make next. I’m buying the entire line…all of em.

  58. DarthNeil says:

Picked up the book “Creating the worlds of STAR WARS-365 Days” and while I knew the part of Greedo was originally played by a woman, on page #18 there’s a candid behind the scene pic of Greedo in his green glam suit and SPECTACULAR pink high heels… Will these be with the exclusive Greedo version Sideshow?

  59. DarthNeil says:

Happy to see this scummy line…. Greedo would be nice, Wuhrer—OK, not stunning but a nice addition. JABBA would rock… (insert extreme exclamation point here) Add (from the Heroes line) Lando in guard outfit and a slave Leia. Save Boba for when the Lando from Cloud City is released in the Heroes line so that the Bespin scene of Han’s freezing can be replayed over and over again… (P.S. Luke & Anakin rock… for anyone who hasn’t purchased these figs I’m truly sorry… A Star Wars collection isn’t complete without SIDESHOW.)

  60. sideshow fan says:

    jabba would make my collection

  61. ??? says:

    BOBA W REMOVABLE HELMET!!!

  62. buj says:

Thanks for the answer Dan! Perhaps whenever Sideshow gets around to making a Chewbacca, C-3PO or R2-D2 figure they will add the chess pieces as exclusives. Actually now that I think about it they would make a great expansion set!

  63. Dan says:

In response to Buj’s question on 7-11. The character’s name was Wuhrer. On another note, did anybody think of having figures made of the different creatures from Chewbacca’s chess game in Episode IV? Just a thought.

  64. FettFan79 says:

I of course would love to see any Boba or Jango! Zam!! Now that is a good one too! Jabba and Tusken Raider are also good suggestions that I too wouldn’t mind seeing figures of.

  65. Wookster says:

Im kinda thinkin maybe Boush! That way you get the double whammy of a cool Bounty Hunter plus the first SST 1/6 Leia sculpt…just a hunch!

  66. buj says:

Hey, what about the bartender from the cantina in Episode 4? I don’t think that Hasbro made a 12″ figure of him although they did make a small scale version. Does anyone recall his character’s name?

  67. Pete says:

To be honest, to only want characters that Hasbro haven’t done before, that would leave a pretty dull line of characters that won’t be that interesting. To see a Tusken Raider, or Lando in Skiff Guard gear done with Sideshow’s abilities would be far preferable to another manufacturer’s fat-handed and chunky versions!

  68. Joe says:

A 12 inch Dengar would be cool, only if they had a 12 Boba Fett to go along with him. I know Fett’s gonna be in the Premium line but a 12inch Fett would so rule. Xizor would be cool too, to see how they’d pull off a figure with very little to go on except the old Shadow of the empire figures and any cover art there was.

  69. nyctoyman says:

If they don’t do boba fett first I hope they do boskk. ponda babba with different hands aint doing it for me. I want to be able to reenact the scene on the star destroyer with darth vader.

  70. Refil says:

Ok so from what I am reading there will more 12 inch Star Wars Items to be shown at the Comic Con! Well here is a heads up for you Sideshow Get a streacher and oxygen cuz I’m gunna have me a FIT at the con when I see them!!!!!!

  71. Dan says:

Let’s see, we could have the bounty hunters (Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, etc…) How about a 12 inch Aurra Sing or Zam Wesell! There are numerous Cantina denizens that have never been immortalized in plastic. How about Canderous Ordo or HK 47 from KOTOR? The possibilities are endless!!! Looking forward to turning my house into a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Can’t afford to be cautious though, As an infamous bounty hunter might say, “They’re no good to me sold out.” Time to put a price on their heads NOW!!!! If Sideshow keep with the theme, each one should be shipped encased in carbonite. They’d weigh a ton, but let’s see ‘em get damaged in shipping!

  72. steve dooku says:

The jabba would be cool, I ‘m sick of sidesow making all of the same figures hasbro, how about some new characters? Enough with Han, Luke, leia ect.

  73. Angelus says:

I’m with James. If they come out with a Greedo in glam suit, I hope his accessories are rollerskates and a Queen album.

  74. gilda says:

    please not another Greedo!!!!
Make new figures remember that maybe all the buyers of the sideshow line are the old ones that buyed the Hasbro line. so please make new characters.

  75. joanthan says:

bring it on, can’t wait for the next star wars heroes or scums in my collection.

  76. Midnight says:

I also wouldn’t mind seeing Oola, or Dengar. I would be pissed if they do band members, I just don’t think the band deserves props over any of the choices other people had listed

  77. Puay says:

This is going to be my favorite 12″ figures line. StarWars is pretty much a creature movie. Greedo will de great to kick start the line and Jawas…. please….

  78. Captain Kirk says:

HOLY CRAPPLE..! Wish I was as big a SW FREAK as some of you! I’m no better, seriously “I LOVES ME SOME OF DAT DARE STAR WARS” but some of you are borderline obsessed! Who cares if Boba wears a Size 9 1/2 double “E” boot unless he’s shoving it up your tail pipe! JABBA, JABBA, JABBA, I think we get it! A giant 1/6 scale Jabba dust collector, how cool would that be..? Boba, Greedo all the obvious choices but what about BOSK, IG-88 or the walrus dude (PONDA BABA) that Boi-Wan jacked up when he tried to cop a feel in the cantina. Or this friend with the skin condition and Gin Blossom? That’s what I’m talking about, something so far out of left field that you yell “FOUL BALL!” Bring on the Lame name 15 seconds of fame figures Sideshow.

    Thank You,
    Captain Kirk
    Starship Enterprise

  79. arnold says:

Ya know, Greedo wouldn’t be half bad. But there are so many characters that deserve treatment. The military line needs to hit! A Hoth rebel trooper would be extremely nice…

  80. James says:

I would like to support the JABBA 1/6 scale idea! How cool would that be!
On the other hand, can we all just steer clear of redoing characters that have already been done in 12″, though I understand giving major character the makeover they all deserve, but Greedo… he was only in there for 5 minutes and he dies… besides, he is a ungly green mask and a green glam suit, how can anyone make that look good?! I would love to see a remake of Bib Fortuna, but really I think we should get some of the characters that haven’t been done (like Jabba, Salicious & Oola (or the other dancers), Max Rebo maybe… and for sure the Bounty Hunters can wait, they have had a whole series in 12″ already. What would be cool however would be a B’Omarr Monk even if it isn’t really a villian.

I really love the Jedi line up and hope that they finish off at least the Jedi Council (and other key Jedi) before they drop the line. And I would love to see a Chewie that doesn’t look stupid… 14″ and real fur that has been cut and styled to look like a real Wookie!! Not a Furball or plastic sculpt.

  81. victor says:

i think they should just come out with a bounty hunter line

  82. Ricky says:

WOW! I WONDER HOW BIG PIZZA I MEAN JABBA THE HUTT GOING TO BE FOR 1/6 SCALE… MEDIUM,LARGE OR EXTRA LARGE! FORGET THE BUY ONE GET ONE FREE DEAL! TOO MUCH GREASE! AWESOME!!! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE LINE UP!! HIP HIP HURRAY FOR SIDESHOW!! YOU GUYS ARE AAAWESOME!!!

  83. Genobarbereli says:

WoW I agree, I want a 12 Inch Jabba The Hutt, I have Greedo, Bobba Fett, and all the other bounty hunters , I want to see something new! along with Jabba, how about the band in 12 inch , That would be awsome, I hope sideshow listens and gives us figures we have not seen in the 12 inch line, that said I would buy them all !!!

  84. Dan says:

Amazing news! Best news of the line in my opnion. I can’t wait to see who is first. Here’s hoping for a Jabba the Hutt eventually.

  85. Midnight says:

It’s probably Greedo, but I would like to see Aurra Sing that would be bananas.

  86. Kim Flugel says:

This has got to be the best news I’ve had in the longest time. The 12″ Star Wars line has been lousy except for the things from japan. Great that we will get a chance to buy our favorite Star Wars character.

  87. DE says:

Bring on Jabba, Greedo, Xixor and of course Boba Fett!

  88. TCM Hitchhiker says:

Oh man, I hope it is Greedo! He is my number one want, and I can’t wait for a Sideshow version. PLEASE nail him! ;)

  89. Joshua Ray says:

So the scum and villainy collection huh? Will it include Jar Jar? He’s pretty scummy and villainous considering he is the one to propose granting Palpatine “special executive powers” to create a grand army of the republic! Some might call him a patsy but I just don’t know!

  90. baytoy says:

    First one wont be a Boba…my guess…

  91. Brandon Aldrige says:

Keepin my fingers crossed for a Jango and/or Boba.

  92. patrick says:

LOOKS LIKE THERE’S HOPE FOR A JABBA THE HUTT AFTER ALL!!!
    ALL VERSIONS PLEASE…=)

  93. Bricrue says:

I’m not a big Starwars fan but I would defenatly order a Greedo.

  94. Wayne in England says:

It seems to be Greedo, or is it?? I don’t think/want Boba Fett will be done just yet. I think they may wait for the TV series to be cast, and maybe do a Boba Fett with removeable helmet. That’ll be a first.
Also I think we need at least a couple more Heroes and another Sith before this 4th line gets going. I cannot wait for a Palpatine/Sidous with changeable heads and robes. How cool would that be?!
As for the scum line, if it’s not Greedo, it can’t be Jabba, so if they’ve given us a clue (Greedo does seem to obvious) how about Jabba’s right hand man, Bib Fortuna. That’ll make a great sideshow collectable.

  95. JS in Rochester says:

Hasbro figures were really hit and miss. With a new paint job, my Hasbro Gammorean looks just fine, but many of their figures were badly sculpted and plasticky. The Hasbro bounty hunters were not so bad and so I probably wouldn’t buy Sideshow ones. Hasbro’s Greedo didn’t do it for most of us so he would be a cool candidate for the Sideshow treatment.
    .
By the same token, I think most folks willing to spend more than twenty dollars bought the Marmit Fett on eBay already, so I doubt a Boba Fett is on the way any time soon in this scale.
    .
But PLEASE BRING ON A 1:6 scale Jabba!!!!!!!!!! We’ve all been waiting for this for years and Sideshow can really deliver an excellent product to a willing market. With Premium Format figures selling out at that price point, a 12 inch scale Jabba at a Premium Format price would still sell out.
Between Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, Sideshow has really revived interest in 12 inch figures for many folks. Very cool, indeed.

  96. buj says:

I would be happy to see a Greedo from Sideshow. It would also be appropriate as he was the first of the Bounty Hunters that we were introduced to in the Star Wars saga.

  97. Paulie Walnuts says:

Fuggetabout Greedo. Blech! Such a stupid looking creature in the vein of Jar-Jar. I say Jabba first, then run the gauntlet with the Bounty Hunters. But seriously, WHERE THE HECK ARE THE TROOPERS?! You guys are INSANE for not bringing out a line of the Star Wars military (both old school and prequels). Can you imagine a line of Clone Commanders?! Did I just hear a ton of saliva hit the floor?

  98. magnus6899 says:

seeing as how the line is called scum and villeny, I doughbt we would see any Bounty hunters. Sideshow would probely make a line for just them, like clone troopers would fall under military. My feeling is that this line might be more directed to Greedo, and various other thugs that worked for Jabba. Haveing sead this I would like to be wrong and see Sideshow throw Bounty Hunters in this wave.

  99. Sebastien St-Jean says:

I find it amazing that they have only announced one figure from the HOTR line for this year and there already opening/announcing the 4th line!

Meanwhile, we have 6 Jedi (two of which are out already) and 2 Sith on the way…

    Personally, I want “Leia” next!

Or at least another figure from the HOTR line… Sideshow, why are you ignoring/neglecting this line!?!

    Regards

    -Seb

  100. Tito says:

I’m super stoked to hear about the series!! I’m hoping we can see a HEM DAZON, Mowow Nadon, BO SHEK, and some other CANTINA type aliens. How many Han Solos do we need?? So many cool characters to choose from, so hopefully Sideshow will do it right! If they choose some characters we’ve never seen before, the response should be amazing!

  101. darren douglas says:

Excuse me ‘wasted a vintage figure’ on Greedo?!
Hang on, ‘Dengar or IG-88′ over the green goofball?
Jeez, Greedo rocks, the dopy hapless fool with his cute lil’ wiggly antenna.
And he had a speaking role, making him way more important than some fat bandaged bruiser or a botched together coffee machine on stilts.
And don’t get me started on that femme fruity Xizor, that refugee from charlie chan, wouldnt be out of place hanging with the ninja turtles.
But, hey, who’s for gammorean guards? Or hammerhead, or those blue faced red eyed dudes, or a tiny salacious crumb, or that butt faced, sorry, ‘walrus’ faced dude? and Jango, I’m sick of the sight of Boba, but a Jango would be cool.
And jabba, by god we need a Jabba.
But most of all, I need a decent dewback, taun taun and that lizard thing from ep III.
But that’s a whole other line.

  102. jonthejedi says:

Please let it be Greedo, please let it be Greedo, please let it be Greedo(fingers crossed).

  103. Sompeetalay says:

I think this another great and logic move to create figures from the fringe world. I can’t wait to see what Sideshow will do with figures such as Bib Fortuna, the Fetts, Bossk, etc… Plenty of good choices I’d say!

  104. RichardtheBloody says:

    WOOHOO!!! Slave leia w/ Jabba!

  105. Neil says:

    Oh yeah!!

Heroes of the rebellion, they re all very nice but now Sideshows cuttin to the SUH-WEEET stuff!!This and Premium Format Boba Fett…i feel spoilt!

    Thanks : 0 )

  106. Zabrak Nut says:

HOLY SMUT, YES! Boba, Jango, Grievous, Jabba, Greedo, and mabe a little Bossk, IG-88, and possibly even Sebulba (I always thought he was cool…) Oh, and let’s not forget the Sandmen (or Tusken Raider, if you want to get technical)

  107. evan says:

love the evil. much more creative in finding new ways to make the public cringe than a take on the average joe.

  108. N.L. Curtis says:

    –___WOW!!!!!!!!!!___JUST WOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!

  109. DCFett says:

Do a female!!! Aurra Sing with Bike! Zam too! Please start at the beginning! Greedo would be welcome too.

  110. Joseph S. Garcia says:

Great idea!! I hope that we also see those from their opposite versions(i,e,. Quinlan vos). Quinlan vos is one great character and dressed up in the cool outfit he had when he was under cover, Awesome!!!! Keep up the good work!

  111. will says:

I could see a 12 inch Boba Fett and a premium format Boba Fett being introduced at the same time. That would be freakin’ sweet.

  112. Eddie says:

I hope to baby Jesus that we’ll see a 12″ Boba Fett, Bossk, Greedo and IG-88!!!

    OMG!!!

  113. John says:

Xixor would be nice granted maybe make him with a rooted black hair braid but OMG are you people missing the fact we might possibly see an actual 12″ scale JABBA?!?!?!?!? I’ve wanted him for YEARS!!! pack him out with a 6″ scalacious B. Crumb and maybe his hooka pipe and bowl as accessories and I’ll be in heaven. PLEASE SIDESHOW MAKE HIS MIGHTINESS I dont care how much he is I’ll buy!!!

  114. Konakazi says:

Perfect! I was getting sick of all the Jedi as I’ve always preferred the underbelly of Star Wars. My first 12″ will be the Sith Anakin…

Now I’d love to see in this line: Greedo, a GOOD Zam Wessel (the Hasbro one made me want to cry and I loved the character), Ponda Baba (Walrus Man), Boba Fett (duh, especially now that there’s an armor cast with the premium figure), Boushh, Dengar, the rest of the Executor BHs, and finally Jabba.

You HAVE TO MAKE JABBA!!! Do a limited run. Whatever it takes! It will be the masterpiece of my collection. Jabba, and then the inclusive is the throne/bed, and his accessories are the slave chain, and water pipe.

Sideshow you rock. Can’t wait to get my hands on these figures.

  115. Mick says:

12″ Jabba the Hutt!! and they can do a 12″ scale salicious crumb as an optional “accessory pack” that comes with a bowl pipe, dais rug, and rotating meat on a spit accessories fitting the scenes from his palace in ROTJ!! C’mon Sideshow, please give us your kind of quality version of a 12″ scale Jabba!!!

  116. Zakk says:

    I want JANGO!

  117. Sebastien St-Jean says:

Looks like the first figure will be “Greedo”. I was personally hoping it would be “Jango Fett” seeing as the Premium line is getting “Boba Fett” next.

    Regards

    -Seb

  118. kfalcon says:

I think Greedo would too obvious. I like the “from out in left field” idea. Maybe Ponda Boba with the 2 different sets of hands. Dengar would be great.

  119. Zakk says:

    Speechless.

  120. rjd4short says:

A 3-year license with Star Wars is not going to be long enough to fill adequately all these fantastic lines; I sure hope Lucas realizes Sideshow needs to do the SW ‘verse, forever (there is so much to do, I’m afraid of it disappearing like other lines before they feel finished. But not Star Wars, naw, never!?)

  121. Joseph Kenbobi says:

I hope it’s not Greedo…Bad enough that Hasbro wasted a Vintage figure on him this year.
It should be somebody from left field - like Dengar, or how cool would a 14″ IG-88 be?

  122. Cirielle says:

Oh boy a Xizor! A freakin’ Xizor would be awesome! :D
I can’t wait to see all the things from this line!!!!

  123. Jeff G. says:

I think it’s a given that we’ll see Xizor at some point down the line. I don’t know about Jabba. He’ll be pretty expensive, I think. Greedo will probably be the first.

I’m glad this was the next line announced because there are very few that I’ll be buying from it. The Fetts…that’s about it. I need the break. :)

  124. Dave C says:

Jabba will be slightly bigger than 12″ at 1:6. More like 24″. I have the Illusive maquette and it is PERFECT for 12″ scale.

  125. richie says:

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeez make a 12″ scale jabba!

  126. astro666 says:

I have been waiting for this line, but wow, am I going to be flat broke!!! Oh well, it will be worth it, anyway, who needs electricity or running water when you have SW figs.

  127. Brett says:

We all know the Bounty Hunters will come from this line, but with the mention of the Black Sun Syndicate - will we see Prince Xixor and Guri? Xixor could be a unique addition to this 12″ license. Lets hope so

  128. Dave C says:

    GREEDO!!! OONA OOTA, SOLO?
