OMFG!!! I NEED this one, it shall be mine! I am getting the PF Buffy so this will look fantastic next to her. Everything about this just SCREAMS Spike, the face expresions, the stance, the costume (its from a season 2 promotional shoot), everything. I was only going to get a Buffy PF figure, but with the outstanding work on this one, i will be getting it to. Sideshow, you are forgiven for neglecting the Buffy/Angel line for a while, the figures you have produced are your best yet there are so many, its good to see you are back on track again.

This is really a wonderful piece. Spike is still quite popular, and you have captured him perfectly.
The figure looks great - the face is excellent. I have to agree with the others on the shirt and coat, though. After the great face, the second thing I noticed was the coat sleeves being too short.
I have never considered buying a doll before, although many of them have been tempting. This Spike one is so good I’m planning on getting it! Now that the tiny flaws have been pointed out I do see them but the face is so perfect I’m not bothered. A longer coat, small hands and less strip in the shirt would be like an extra perk is all.
I agree about the coat length being out, and the stripes are jarring simply because they’re oversized and over-emphasized, but the figure looks fantastic. I’m not a collector of figurines and dolls, but this is such a striking figure of Spike that I’m finding it hard to resist. Well done.
I’ve never collected a doll in my life but I would love to have Buffy and Spike. They are gorgeous.
I absolutely MUST have this statue, although I agree with a few other posters that the coat is a little short and the shirt is not really an authentic look. However…I will definitely be ordering this, even with the steep pricetag.

Hopefully we can have another Spike figure if the Angel character line goes this route, but right now I can’t think of a better partner for Premium Buffy…than Premium Spike. So thank you so much for making this awesome figure and I am standing by to order as soon as possible.

I LOVE IT! A definite buy for me but I’d also like to see a few improvements before production. The original short looked like an ottoman jacquard pattern where the stripe was more subtle (lighter and narrower) and his duster almost always covers his hands.
NeilBD yes, I’m grateful that they have given him the red shirt, but I really would have prefered it to have at least been an accurate rendition of it, rather then this.
Look here’s a very clear photo of season two Spike.
Notice the difference in costume. How long the coat is, how long and baggy the sleeves are and what the shirt really looks like. The stripes are much more subtle and are only along the very front side of it.
Please, please Sidehow try and correct these errors. If you did that he would be the ultimate Spike model. A tribute both to your fine work aswell as this iconic character.
I love the shirt! I works perfectly with season 2 spike which you must be familiar of to recognise. So glad they chose season 2. Plus I’d rather have the shirt option than no other!
This statue is simply superb!
BUT: since you did such an awesome job on it, how about replicating the likeness with Spike’s clothes? I agree with Fernando, Sue & C.: the shirt has nothing to do with classic Spike–there shouldn’t be any stripes at all. And the coat is too small (& short).
AND: since we’re giving feedback here… I have a beautiful statuette of Faith wearing her leather jacket, as in *real* leather… Are you considering producing at least some Premium Spikes with the “real” leather coat? I’m sure lots of fans would be ready to do anything to get one of those.
Fernando understand what Sideshow are trying to do with the shirt, in that season 2 Spike did actually wear a red shirt which was ‘inlaid’ with darker red stripes, but as I said they were never that pronounced nor as wide. That’s what making them look odd.
After studying this figure further I couldn’t help but notice that his hands are out of scale with the body somewhat too, making the sleaves look even smaller. If his hands were that large he’d have huge difficulty getting them out of the coat!
Sorry to sound so ‘picky’ but considering how much he’s going to retail for it would be marvelous If they managed to get it as accurate as they possibley.

Love the look of this so far!
The likeness is superb although the clothes leave something to be desired in places.
For example the coat is a little too short. The stripes on the shirt are too dark and too wide for a shirt that scale and the sleaves too short. Spike’s coat was always a little too large for him and thus the sleaves always hung lower on his arms then they should have. Also the lapels on his duster are set a little bit too far back on his shoulders.
The boots are just excellent though.
I just need to find a bank to rob so that I can buy him!
Love this doll! Great likeness, except for the shirt. I don’t remember Spike ever wearing a striped shirt. Definitely on my buy list.

I love him!!!!! Spike is the best option for a new PF figure, and the interchangeable heads are a great idea. I wish I could buy two of them to display them each one with each head. I love the likeness of the vamped out face, but the human one, even though it’s awesome, looks too much like the first human version of Spike in 1/6 scale. I’m so excited by this statue and I will be pre-ordering it as soon as it’s available and the 9.99$ for shipping to EU is still on! Thanks sideshow again for keeping this line alive and for bringing the best likeness to all the figures in the line.

I’m pretty sure it’s an Exclusive… if it were an Inclusive they would’ve said like on Jabba’s preview page. Bummer it’s not an inclusive, will kick myself silly if I miss this one!!

I love Premium Format and it’s uber cool for me. But, I don’t know how you can make a Spike figure any better than your 12″ offering. But looking at this preview, you may have just pulled it off.
What a fabulous sculpt! Spike looks wonderful–you’ve really captured both aspects of the character. Very exciting news! I can’t wait to get him.
Astonishing likeness :)….this hits the mark dead on and makes me grateful that you guys have continued churning out amazing Buffy and Angel merchandise….now if we can just get a Vampire Spike that looks THIS good in 12 inch form ;)….thank you Sideshow for all the new items and especially for listening to what the fans have been wanting….

Now this is how Spike needed to be presented, along with all the vampires from Buffy - Interchangeable heads! He looks great (one of the best characters of the series).
He looks astonishing. I’m so glad that he has an interchangeable head. It’s too bad that I’m not rich otherwise I’d buy 2 to display him with each head.

The Spike PF looks very cool. Interchangable heads, is this a first on a PF? The human Spike look almost to kind - lol
