Faramir is an excellent choice, then how about Eomer and then Bilbo. Keep up the good work.
Really dissapointed that the next figure is going to be Faramir, a non-Fellowship character.
I suppose there is a silver lining that my bank account gets a rest but I really thought that Sideshow would stick to the Fellowship first. (Yawn.) Wake me when you do Frodo.
Oh, by the way…Sideshow the video was GREAT!!! I liked how the music went perfectly with everything. The music was great, the figures were beautiful, and the direction was perfect. Thank you Sideshow for all that you do!!!
Being a big fan of Lord of the Rings, I myself will love to see a Gandalf the White figure. There has been lots of Gandalf the Gray figures made (ToyBiz even did a doll, which I have) but no one has really touched on a Gandalf the white except Dragon In Dream, an Asian company. After the Faramier figure, I suggest a Gandalf the white figure; the exclusive pieces being his pointy hat and smoke pipe…ohhhh or maybe even a Palantir with the eye of Sauron in it. What do you fellow collectors think?
I would like to see the rest of the Fellowship – Gandalf, Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gimli – plus hell, everyone! Lurtz, Farimir, Gollum, Eowyn, Saruman, Bilbo!!
I really cannot wait for my Aragorn figure to arrive. I have bought one of the DML horses to paint and use as Brego. Might get a couple more and do them up as Shadowfax too.
How about a Faramir? or Eomer? These guys never did get statues (other than busts) made of them. Faramir was compelling in the movies and the books, as was Eomer.
After the fellowship I’d love to see an elven warrior next in the 12″ line.
I desperately need a Pippin figure that is NOT screaming in agony and NOT a bust. Premium, 12 inch…either is fine. But there needs to be a Pippin, and a Merry too. SEPARATELY, not lumped together as they so often are, with special attention paid to getting each one right. I don’t care how they’re dressed, just as long as the facial likenesses are good (and again, not depicting them screaming!). Some props I would like to see for them: traveling gear (bag), scarf for Pippin, pipes for each, Merry’s pipeweed bag that we see in ROTK, swords. To sum up, my wishlist is:
1. Pippin
2. Merry
Please make the Fellowship first. Gandalf and Gimli are the two I wish to see next, then the Hobbits. Keep em coming and don’t make us wait too long between them!!
I’ve ordered all the LOTR 12″ so far, and want the entire fellowship – that said, I would also REALLY like for you to offer an Aragorn/Arwen Coronation/Wedding outfit pair… That would be superb.
I want to think thay are making all the member’s of The Fellowship. I hope so. I think The movie was great advertisment and I might just add another to my shopping list.

I would like for Sideshow to produce premium format figures for all the characters in Lotr. Including the orcs, Galadriel, Arwen, Eowyn…and especially Bilbo Baggins. How about some of the other Hobbits rather than those in the fellowship.
Your Aragorn looks perfect. The face on Legolas is just a bit off. Boromir is closer. But who am I to nitpick…these will go down as SIDESHOW’s Finest!!! Please finish the Fellowship. I know Arwen and Galadriel are planned, but the Hobbits and Gimli and PLEASE Gandalf the Grey!!!!! Is there any chance we could see them a bit sooner than later? Again…GREAT JOB!!!

While I really can’t afford many beyond the fellowship, I’d buy a 12″ Eowyn without a second thought.
I really hope we see a Faramir (Ranger). Warrior of Minas Tirith would be nice, as well as Easterlings. Oh and maybe Eomer too.

I think you are all right, to wish the Hobbits of the Shire next. But I want to see Merry and Pippin in their origin clothes from the shire, I don’t want them to see in armor, because you LOTR fans know that these Hobbits are in fact no real warriors. Hobbits are Hobbits. And no soldiers.
12″ figures I’d like to see Sideshow do:

I think what most people are waiting for are some Hobbits… that will answer a lot of questions of how SS plans to tackel the wee lads and bring hope to the 12″ LOTR line!! So please SS make Hobbits next!

For the next 12 incher, I would like to see something like Gimli. NOw, for the next premium format, I’d love to see some Saruman action, or maybe something crazy like the Mouth of Sauron.

Can’t wait to get the LOTR 12″ figures! I just received my first Star Wars 12″ figure last week and it was awesome. Now all I can think about is the LOTR figures. I have all the 12″ and Premium Format ordered. I would love to see 12″ Gandalf the Grey or King Theoden next. Also a few Orcs or Uruk-Hai with high quantities so I can purchase more then one, so I can pose my heros fighting many Orcs. I would like to see the Balrog or Witch-King Premium Format that would be sweet. Sideshow just keep making the 12″ figures. I want to be able to own everyone in Middle Earth.

I hope that you concentrate on all of the Fellowship before you go on to other people. (Even if it WOULD give my bank account a break for a while if you did do other people first.)
I have Strider, Legolas and Boromir ordered and I am one of the people who really hope you do the Hobbits to scale with them so they will look right displayed together.
My vote for next would be Frodo. As much as I anticipated it.. I couldn’t finally bring myself to buy the Premium Format Frodo as I felt it was beautiful except the likeness fell so very short. I have my fingers crossed for the 12 inch (Or six inch) figure of Frodo to be much better.
I would love to see a 12 inch figure of Aragorn as he looked during The Battle for Helm’s Deep. All you would need to do is give him some chain mail and his Elven knife and take off his cloak. If you do not want to do that offer the chain mail and knife as an add on product for him.
I would also like to see him as King Elessar in the 12 inch line some day.
Yes I agree gandalf should be next and in a exclusive premium format not a 12 incher he deserves to be show cased with all it’s glory.
I see the majority of people are waiting for the next 1:6 figure to be Gandalf, but I believe somebody from Sideshow said at Comic-Con that the next figure would not be somebody from the Fellowship. While I wouldn’t mind a Gandalf, I’m really hoping that the next figure is either Arwen, Eowyn, Eomer, or Faramir. Arwen would be awesome, to pair with Aragorn. Eowyn would be awesome, simply because she is awesome. Eomer would also be absolutely awesome, especially with the horse motifs, headgear, spear, etc. And Faramir would be awesome, to pair with Boromir. So if I were betting on a figure, I’d bet on one of these. Please, Sideshow, make these figures next!!
I am hoping all of the fellowship will be done in the 12″
format (maybe 8″ and 6″ for Gimli and the Hobbits, and we musn’t forget Bill, which would make a wonderfull collection as these figurines are about the best of this type that I have seen.
I love the video and I’m glad that I have all the 12 in ordered. I do have a question, where is the background music from? I would love to find a copy for myself.

I would LOVE to see Pippin and Merry in the gorgeous velvet clothes they wear in the “return to the Shire” scene. We hardly got to see these costumes in the movie, and these figures would be a perfect opportunity to showcase that. If not those clothes, then their Fellowship costumes or regular ROTK armor. Just as long as it’s Pippin and Merry! (And please, no screaming faces this time).
I would like to see all four Fellowship hobbits in the 12-inch (or whatever the appropriate scale would be), especially since we didn’t get a Fellowship Pippin in the statuettes.
i would eventually like to see every charactor, but im hoping for any of the wizards (gandalf grey, gandalf white, or saruman) or gimli next.
My votes would be for Eowyn as Dernhelm, Faramir, and then Theoden King in his armor. A Morgul lord would be awesome, too. Of course I want to finish the Fellowship first, but some other characters would be great. Doesn’t really matter, I’ll be buying them all. I just wish we could get them at the same rate that the Star Wars figures are released.
Theoden! I vote Theoden every time. Don’t care whether it’s the armor or the court costume since both are very nice, and you can have the sword with either one. You just don’t do enough Rohirrim. Forth Eorlingas!!

I collect the 12″ line and I would love to see “Arwen” next… Especially in her riding outfit from FOTR! However, any other outfit would be fine as well as long as we get her soon!
At the slow pace these are currenlty being released, I hope Sideshow won’t make us wait too long for her by making her the 12th figure in the line like they did with “Leia” for the 12″ Star Wars line…

My druthers would include a 12″ armored Theoden King, and if Sideshow can produce sixth-scale space slug, I’m sure it would be no trouble to produce Snowmane, allowing the King of Edoras to ride into battle one last time.
Gandalf the Grey is a close second in 1/6 scale.
And hey, don’t forget about Gimli and GOLLUM.
I’m not interested in purchasing the epic scale figures. Epic? Yes. Practical? Not for me.
Impressive video Sideshow, well done! Makes me want to buy this new figure line. Instead I am staying with my LOTR Polystone bust collection. I would be more tempted to buy if there was a hint of what characters are going to be deployed in the future. I would like to see a Uruk-Hai swordsman as displayed in the Two Towers….that would be an impressive 12″ figure. How about Elven warriors or soldiers of Gondor? We shall see…excellent work Sideshow, I am fan for life.

The Hobbits may be a problem in the 1/6th scale as they are so tiny, how are Sideshow going to deal with these. They carn’t be 12″??????.

Since these first three are dressed as the Fellowship, maybe we should finish getting the fellowship fellows (Gandalf, the four Hobbits, and Gimli).
These will get the ball rolling, and then maybe they can just introduce them in the order they appeared in the films?
I’d like to see the 4 hobbits in the 12″ format (so I can afford them!) I haven’t been crazy about the facial likenesses (based on the movie) but the detail of the clothing has been fantastic (so are the poses). Please, please concentrate more on the facial likenesses. If you improve that, I won’t be able to stop myself from buying more of these figures, 12″ or premium! Lurtz and Aragorn are the best so far, Boromir is questionable, Frodo is extremely questionable, and Legolas is just plain NOT movie Legolas. I’ve ordered Frodo, and wish I could order Aragorn, but I’m hoping to spend my money on more hobbits… like Merry & Pippin in armor.
Good job on the video SideShow. The next 12 inch figures I would like to see are Gandalf and Gimli. Later on I would love to see a Two Towers version of Haldir and possibly Galadriel from the Fellowship of the Ring.
Nice feature SSC, but I missed the LotR feeling a bit. Still, there is no doubt about the quality of the products: The one to do better than that, has yet to be born!
I’m not a huge fan of LOTR, but I did like the movies. I have ordered the 12″ figures because the craftsmanship is beyond anyone. After seeing this video, I am sooooooo glad I ordered these figures, and will definately order the rest! These characters are some of the best work from SS. Truely amazing! Made a LOTR collector out of me!

I think Faramir would be the most incredible choice for the next figure. We never had him before, and his ranger outfit is a perfect 12″ challange. He could come with his sword and bow & arrows, and his exclusive could be the map of Middle Earth and Boromir’s broken horn. How perfect is that?
