Woo! This is great but i would really like Aayla! In the comics she has an original jedi cloak but i’m not bothered about the joints showing a slave leia or Oola would be exactly the same.
plo koon is a jedi master, not a nobody. more jedi’s please. hope they do more than hasbro made right across all six film’s
glad to finally see a jabba the hutt, i’ve already got anakin and kit fisto and the others that are out there look top quality. i’ve got 116 12″ figures from the habro lines and the ss figures blow them out the water
I love the sideshow line. I just hope that they do not follow Hasbro and make the same figures over and over. Every collection needs the main characters, but we do not need a Luke jedi, bespin, hoth, etc. There are so many characters in the Star Wars saga. I hope we continue to see a variation of characters made. The padme bunny outfit is great. A slave leia is always welcome!!!!!! It would be great to see all of the jedi council made!
Chris, actually the lightsaber gauntlet is exactly that, a piece that was designed for the character during the conceptual stage of production. It can be seen in the Epidode 3 artbook.
Oh, and dkeogh, as far as Shak Ti goes… if Hasbro could do one, you know these guys could knock her out of the park!
I love all the characters so far, but I’d like to see some troopers! Stormtroopers, Clone troopers, Galactic Marines, Snow troopers, BIKER SCOUTS!

Plo Koon is a must for me. I only have Kit Fisto in the line already but have Darth Maul on order. Aayla Secura would be cool but I don’t personally think I’d get it with the joints showing. Shak Ti would be amazing but probably a very difficult to realise. Keep up the amazing work SS.
Hi, just so everyone knows, there seems to be 2 keiths posting here.My only other post was Sept.8. From now on i will post as Keith NH. So BATMAN I agree with whole heartedly, You will never see me selling any of my Star Wars collectables on ebay, I’m sure my Kids will take care of that when i’m dead and burried !!!

I have to say, having missed out on the Hasbro Plo Koon, I am glad it’s being offered. Although I am not tired of Jedi, I would like to see some female Jedi or some of the Bounty Hunters done. Hasbro’s wave featuring Bossk, Dengar, 4-Lom and Zuckass were the worst of the entire line and that includes the others that came out that year. Bad paint, poorly detailed sculpts that made them look like a toy trying to be a collectible rather than a collectible toy. Aayla Secura gets my top vote as well as Oola (and be damned about the joints showing)
A 12″ Lando would also rock!!! Any plans Sideshow?
I just got my 12″ Han Solo today…WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! Sideshow you continue to amaze and RULE!!! A 12″Luke in FULL Bespin Fatigues with a blaster and gun-belt would go so well with this figure…Maybe one day…Thanks again Sideshow!!!
The figure is very well done as usual, but what’s the deal with the dual lightsaber gauntlet? This is the first 12″ figure to come with an (exclusive) accessory that doesn’t make sense . . . ! I’d rather it come with something more in character (if possible), situational (like Kit Fisto’s droid head) or even conceptual (something the Lucasfilm art dept was considering but later left out of the character design). To add something apparently just for the sake of exclusivity leaves me just scratching my head . . .

That’s a great idea Astro666! Head variants would have to necessary for a truly great Luke in Bespin fatigues…I had heard of a Hasbro Luke in BFatigues, but I never realized it was actually released. But even with one head, with a pensive expression and no arm stump, I think the figure would still rule…especially with some sort of a sectioned carbon freezing chamber diorama base…Sideshow, please grace us with one in the future…
I already have all the jedi and sith from hasbro sadly they could’nt complete all the jedi and sith, honestly no offense to hasbro team, sideshow really makes better very!2 Impressive and realistic dolls really!2 Amazing not to mention hyper-poseability and craftsmanship!!!..

I agree that a Bespin Luke with stump would be cool, but if he only has a regular expression on his face what is the point. I got my Mace and he is very cool but I will never end up using his hand stump his it would look ridiculous with the expreesion that the figure has. I think that SS should make one of the accessories an alternate head with more of an action expression instead of the holoprojector and other little things. Or I would be willing to pay a few bucks more for an additional head or $30-50 for an expansion pack that came with alternate heads for the figs that have already come out(Mace could have 2 extras, 1 screaming like he is going into battle and 1 screaming like he is in pain) If anyone else agrees, let SS know & maybe they could make it become a reality, please, please, please SS. Thanks again for all of your great figs in all of your lines, you keep making them and we will keep buying them.
I actually forgot to mention a 12″ Bespin Luke figure. I don’t even see how it’s possible for us to go without one! Also, QUESTION: Are we gonna get, like, only ONE EU figure a year? Polar Bear Padme’s been in production for a while now…
Not sure if I’m going to get this one or not. It will depend on the rest of the package. I have a limited budget and would prefer to wait than buy yet another Jedi.
Arnold, Hasbro actually has made both of those varaitions of Luke in his fatigues. They made Luke in his Bespin fatigues as one of their earlier 12″ releases and made a store exclusive Luke with Yoda in a backpack later in the run.

I am with Nick and cocoboloboy. SSC ought to focus on characters from the movies. A couple of snow trooppers with the laser canon as an expansion pack would be great.

Great figure Sideshow! It would be nice to see some more core characters or troops. Would anyone else agree that a 12″ Luke in Bespin fatigues would not ROCK? It’s never been done to my knowledge…his exclusive could be a YODA figure in the backpack…or his some of his survival gear. SS could even include a seared arm stump to recreate the pivotal “I AM YOUR FATHER” scene…Plus, Luke with a blaster/gun-belt and the lightsaber hanging off it would just be AWESOME…The lightsaber duel between Luke and Vader in ESB has to be one of the most memorable sequences in cinema history…PLUS, the tragic life of Vader as revealed by the prequels, compounds the symbolism and intensity of this battle…
In closing, a 12″ Luke in Bespin fatigues would extremely sweet.
Very nicely done, Sideshow! My only complaints are that I wish we knew more about the figure’s accessories before ordering, and PLEASE don’t let a cluster of figures be released for shipping so close together in the future. Some of our wallets took a pounding! I loved having them arrive, but my bank account did not, LOL.

I’m glad SS is doing Plo. I’m even more happy to see so many are not wanting him. gives me a better chance of getting one.
Unfortunately, SS cares about keeping these things limited. And, while i don’t want to begrudge anyone a chance to make money on these, I don’t see why you ebayers want to begrudge the rest of us a chance to get one. And, honestly, I dont see why SS cares, as long as they are making money. And, for the record, I for one do not deal well with the stress of trying to get one of these.
This will add to my growing collection. Why not make a Shak Ti figure in the future.

dave, you can use the phone to order too! I’ve managed to get every exclusive while working through my cellphone (which has poor reception) in a doctors office. inclusives are a bad idea as i think sideshow is realizing (9000 darth maul, with god knows how many “inclusives”) if you cant manage an exclusive and you must havde the figure, buy the regular edition.
I agree that Aayla is long over due and should be th first female jedi. pan1776 is right about the robe, wasnt she seen in the back ground of AOTC in her robes walkin through the jedi temple? That said i’d be happy for Luminaria also.
I love all these 12″ Star Wars figures and i’ve beenlucky to get them all, and i’ll get this one too, even if he is a “nobody” he’s still a cool looking jedi. My hope though is when Sideshow does the military line of Star Wars figures, they make a Grand Admiral Thrawn with exclusive ysalamiri, and maybe a chunk of artwork since he studied art, either way I want my Thrawn. And Zuckus, cant forget Zuckus.
I would love to see preorders moved to Saturdays. They would have a more festive feel to them, we could open the chatrooms for bragging, and most importantly I wouldnt have to call in sick like once a month which is impacting my wallet almost as much as buying all these great figures…

plo is ugly. and scary. and he rules. he’s the only jedi until luke who was a force lightning user. he has a ruthlessly black and white sense of justice, and he has little compunction about acting on it with immediacy and no thought to consequences. plo has some serious gunslinger tendencies. it would rule if he had his yellow lightsaber as well as some yellow force lightning. so bada$$. as far as other characters, i’m pretty sure that there is no solution to aayla’s exposed joints. they may be able to bring her shirt down low enough to cover the thoracic joint, but i see no way to deal with her right arm. however, think of how much could be controlled just by giving her a jedi robe? (and please, please, please let her have a jedi robe. even if that is not the answer to the joint dilemma.) it would also be really cool to see a master tholme or master fay. and, asajj ventress is the only sith i want besides and ESB vader, so i hope the EU is not completely relegated to the end of the line. i understand that major characters need priority attention, but secondary and tertiary characters are the most fascinating artistically. how many bounty hunters, jedi, and military variations can you come up with? it’s practically endless and they were this saga’s whole backdrop. minor characters are what brought the story up from a single, linear dimension and gave it the depth to feel completely real.
It’s great when there is a new figure announced because it leads to a lot of creative comments like the jedi council chair expansion packs and the extra lightsaber packs.
Oh yeah, I am also hoping for the movie characters to be explored more before the expanded universe lines start up, but bring on Snow Bunny Padme anytime.
Why can’t Sideshow make more BRAND NEW Characters that Hasbro has never made before. These all just look like better quality version’s of the Hasbro pieces. I’d like to see more Character’s that’s NEVER been made as a 12″ Figure like Kt Fisto for example. Habro already made a 12″ Plo Koon Figure before. He’s kind of tough to find but he was made.

I agree that it is time for some troopers. A clone trooper in armor with all three different helmets included would be nice, that way you can choose your favourite. (Hint, hint Sideshow.)
Yeah, I’d have to agree with Nick. I’m a big SW movie fan but I have only recently begun reading SW books. They are great but I’d like to see the movie characters done first. Sorry EU fans,I really am! I would just like to see Episodes 1-6 done to the hilt!

Hey Sideshow. I love the Star Wars 12″ figure line and i think that y’all are doing an amzing job and finally offering 12″ figure collectors the product detail that we’ve all been looking for. All the ones y’all have done have turned out great and I have nothing negative to say about any of them. Keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to PPOing my Plo Koon. The only thing is that I think you don’t need to hurry to get new ones out like y’all have on the James Bond line and tarnish this series. A remarkable series like this deserves attention and time and the satisfaction of your customers who impatiently wait to PPO the next one. Also in my own opinion (I know alot of people are going to hate this) you should stick to the four categories of the 12″ HOTR,LOTS,OOTJ,& S&V. Expanding out right now or even producing characters that were only in comics or books would ruin the “authenticity” of the Star Wars experience for right now and it would need a whole new category like Expanded Characters or something. Anyways thank you for the great work and I can’t wait to see Casino Royale 12″ either.
I would also like to see some of the female jedi get the Sideshow treatment. In lieu of Aayla Secura and the situation with her exposed joints (although, from the teaser image posted, exposed joints aren’t stopping Sarah Connor from being made), I suggest Barriss Offee and Bultar Swan, both of which were present at the Battle of Geonosis. Bultar, I believe, has never had a figure made of her, small or large scale, yet.

How cool would that be, and astro666, you should have direct line to the design team. You have some great ideas! I want Council chairs, and floors, and columns, and windows and stuff!!!!

Hmm…”expansion packs”? “diorama bases”? yes,yes,yes- I can see it…..you guys should be SS freelance consultants.
I wouldn’t mind seeing SS do an expansion pack of just extra lightsabers. Or an expansion pack of Pit Droids. Or a pack of misc. droid parts to go along with a Jawa, because I hope that when SS makes a Jawa they will make it as a 2-pack or make a couple different sized Jawas and have each one come with a Droid of some sort, like a Treadwell Droid or Power Droid. I think it would be cool if SS made a Dagobah Yoda and grimey R2-D2 2-pack.
Plo Koon? Is this the best they could come up with? I could think of over a hundred Star Wars characters I would rather see made into a 12″ figure by Sideshow other than this “very minor” character. Hell, I would rather see a Bespin Security Guard even more. Such possibilities, what a waste.

I have to totally agree on this and everyone else tired of 12″ Jedi. They look great, but let’s get back to the Classics we saw in the movies, not just cameos. Leia in Scum and Villainy is a good start, along with Luke and Han. Great sculpts that brought me into the SSC fold. Keep up the good work, and I can’t wait to see more!
I’m also getting a little tired of all the male Jedi although they look great. I got Kitt Fisto and was blown away. I dont see the need however to order this one since I have the hasbro edition. Lets make some figures Hasbro hasnt done. I agree an Oola would be amazing, also why not a momaw nadon (hammerhead , or a really well done Yak Face, Also any Female Jedi, And for goodness sake a 12″ scale Yoda, Darth Vader and Boba Fett!!! Although they were previously made I’m sure ss could do an incredible job on all three. Thanks for the 12″ scale Jabba and throne I’ll keep ordering the figures not made previously but I dont think I need duplicates of preexisting figures I already have from Hasbro.

With all the furor over Gentle Giant’s busts, I think ANY clone would sell rather well.
Especially if done REALLY well, as we know they’d do.
To answere your question PUAY, the first time a 3-3/4″ Plo Koon was released(Hasbro-Power of the Jedi), he came with a yellow lightsaber. This lightsaber was probably seen in some sort of EU comic or game as well. Same thing as the first Ki-Adi-Mundi came with a purple bladed saber, which was later to be revealed as Mace Windu’s in the Dark Horse comic books. I always assumed that Hasbro made up their own blade color since the afore mentioned figures came out prior to seeing those characters in a movie with their ignited sabers.

I must say that I’m very releived to hear that Plo Koon is the latest addition to the Order Of The Jedi line. He’s one of the more visually interesting characters that has a “cool” factor about him that even non-Star Wars fans can enjoy, which is why he’s one of my faviourite Jedis.
Though, I have to admit that I’m a little tired of all these Jedis in Sideshow’s Star Wars 12″ line-up. Why? Because half of the announced characters in the Sideshow Star Wars 12″ line are Jedis and we all know what all Jedis wear: Jedi robes. Whilst I do like all the Jedi (as Astro666 has said, they were the best thing to come out of the prequels), it’s just that they bring too little variation in clothing and acessories in the Sideshow Star Wars 12″ line as a whole.
Not to say that I don’t want Jedis to be given the 12″ treatment by Sideshow, only that I wish Sideshow would not announce them so often in the line. Here’s to more varied characters in the Sideshow Star Wars 12″ line and what Sideshow do best: making excellent 12″ figures. Oh and more consistent paintjobs would be nice too!
I agree with Astro666, we need more diorama bases. Sith Anakin on the Lava Droid Base makes the display look perfect.
I think This is the best figure yet. As far as lady Jedi, Adi Gallia and Stass Allie are amazing choices–neither is as short as Leia or Padme, their costumes cover the bodies, and they follow the beautiful Jedi patterns we have been seeing. Bring ‘em on!
Plo is an interesting (and welcome) choice.
One question/request I have for all of the jedi we’re getting…
How about an expansion pack containing 3 different style jedi council chairs? We’ve got Plo(I,II,III), Mace(I,II,III), Obi-Wan(III) & Kit(III) so far from the council…what a handsome display that would make, huh? Not real sure what other accessories could round out the pack maybe some holos of various jedi)but I think it would be a cool idea…

An orange lightsaber would be amazing! I’m glad Plo Koon’s getting a Sideshow update, the Hasbro was hideous. His hands looked like Homer Simpson’s hands. And I’d have to say, please keep up with the Exclusive editions. I don’t really care myself about getting the Exclusive versions, the regular versions are good enough for me, but it’s nice to keep the editions smaller to keep all of us collectors in a frenzy. I mean Darth Maul hasn’t even sold through yet, how many are going to be made? 15,000? It’s really not all that hard for anyone to order the Exclusive versions. People just complain a bit too much I think when they feel they are missing out on something. We should all just be happy that Sideshow is making these amazing figures, and not get upset just because a thousand people got a battle droid head with their Kit Fisto and you didn’t.
I agree with everything Keith mentions in the beginning….and why should we have to “settle” on the regular version vs. the exclusive because we (like most folks) are at work during the time of the pre-ordering. Plesae Sideshow, we’re begging you….FIND ANOTHER WAY TO HANDLE EXCLUSIVES AND PRE-ORDERING….I keep missing out and am forced to pay high dollar second market scalped pricing.
Great….open for pre-orders on a Friday morning while I’m at work….AGAIN! (at work without a computer; some of us don’t work where we can pop on the internet whenever we want and work far enough from home that we cannot drive home on lunch half-hour.)
Plo Koon looks pretty cool but I’m with everyone else who wants a figure that hasn’t been made into a 12″ yet. Illuminara, Eeth Koth, Adi Galia or to throw everyone for a loop and make Siri Tachi.
How about a jedi seat for Plo Koon SSC? Maybe selling it as an expansion pack item? Seems like everyone is asking for Aayla Secura, I am not so keen unstill there is a solution to the exposed joints.
I would like for SS to offer some Jedi Council seats as an accessory/diorama pack. Maybe 2 or 3 chairs to a pack, and let us be able to order more than 1 set. I would also like to see some other dioramas for all of the series that SS is putting out. I really liked the Furnace environment and was very sad when I was not able to get one for my Freddy figure, it would have made for an awesome display.
Finally, a Plo Koon that won’t cost $199 USD. Since I’m an opener, I’ll be happy with either edition. However, another superb choice, although my Sideshow Jedi shelf is outnumbering the Sideshow Sith, so I’ve had to add a few customs to balance the force. I think its time we ventured into more Sith, one (not including the Comic Con Ani) is not enough, I wouldn’t mind seeing a Sidious next.
Next figure is gonna be Lando or Moff Tarkin. Peter Cushing likeness.Scum and villiany should do Boba Fett. Heroes should do Chewy. Rubber suit no corny furr. Jedi should be old Obi Wan or Yoda. Sith count Dooku.
I think Plo will be sweet!! The teaser shot looks great. Can’t imagine what the exclusive would be but it hardly matters.

I will agree with some of you on the time frame that SS presents the orders… it could be more user friendly. IT SHOULD BE MORE USER FRIENDLY.
The people who are working first shift hours are at a great disadvantage (though I am not one of them).
I also like the return to the EXCLUSIVE editions because it keeps the numbers lower, and hopefully the value of the figure higher over the years.

Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus asking for more Inclusive, as opposed to Exclusive Editions. I think anybody with a job can sympathize as to what an ordeal it truly is to try and order an ‘Exclusive’ item, and to keep said job at the same time. Please, Sideshow, Inclusives are a win/win for everybody.

Great looking figure! Unlike alot of the SW fans out there I could take’em or leave’em when it comes to the ladies of the SW universe…but that’s just me. I would, however love to see more in the Sith line. A Count Dooku would be awesome! But if you continue with the Jedi then I need a Yoda,the kick butt Yoda from Episode II and III.

Yet another amazing addition to what has become the Definitive Star Wars collectible line. I thought I’d buy just a few figures, but the way SS is developing this line, it looks like I’m in for the long haul. So far each figure in the 12 inch line has been outstanding!

I’m with everyone else who appreciates the Jedi line and I’m glad fans who missed Plo the first time out can fullfill their collections, but I’ll concede that I’d like to see SS do Jedi that Hasbro never tried to do. As far as a woman Jedi, instead doing Luminara and Shaak Ti (the final 2 Hasbro 12″ figs-which were pretty good for Hasbro) right away, how about Adi Galia. Great female Jedi and had quite a presence in the “Jedi Starfighter” series. Come to think of it how many people remember playing the game. With all these aliens SS is doing, wouldn’t it be cool to see the Amphibian Space Pirate Nym?
I don’t know, I’m with everyone else who wants to see all the other cool characters as well as Jedi. I guess I just want to be sure that SideShow is going to commit to producing all these great figures. Hopefully if we keep buying them, they’ll keep producing them and this collection will eclipse any that came before it.
I never get tired of Jedi line because they are some of my favorite, but I’ll wet myself just as much when they announce the first stormtrooper and the umpteen different variations that go along with them!!!!
Oh yeah, I dig the dioramic bases better than just the basic Logo stand. The first few were cool, but maybe if they just changed the printing to reflect the Collection like “Jedi” or “Sith”, a logo for Rebellion or Empire it could keep the stands fresh.
So will this be inclusive or limited?
i love all of the star wars 12″ line with the exception of the drastic color change on obi wan, but none the less i love the quality of the line. can we change it up now and get some more of the primary characters of the universe like troopers or imperial guards. any body that is important to the story line. thanks

As completely awesome as this line has become, I agree with others that there needs to be a woman’s presence in it. They have other options besides Shaak or Luminara. They could also do Avi or Yaddle (my personal 1st choice) or add some Knights to it and do Aayla.
They may not be versed enough yet to do a female figure but they have started their practice with the upcoming Leia as Boushh. Can’t wait to see how they did on her.
Wow! I am very impressed SS. The Hasbro version is not to bad but this one appears that it might blow that version out of the water or galaxy.
Going back to “Exlusive” on this one huh? I can already feel the adrenaline building up for next week. It’s going to be a great Friday if I can grab this one.
I am willing to bet that the exclusive item is going to be his “gold” lightsaber blade. He did carry quite often in the graphic novels. But it is just a hunch.

Yes this looks to be another fantastic figure, but i thought we were going to the INCLUSIVE ORDERING SYSTEM rather than what i call the RUSSIAN ROULETE way of ordering.
I’M begging you to go back to the INCLUSIVE WAY because your really stressing out everybody that wants these fine collectables.Some people have scurry around at work to find a computer and prey there boss or the internet management team does not catch them, they could possibly loose there job.This scenario does not apply to me but others i know have this problem. Come on SS give the Working man a break!
i hope they add his 2nd lightsaber as the exclusive. let’s get something he could actually use!
I wasn’t really that thrilled about Plo (yet another Jedi), but now that I see this preview, he looks really cool. Please give him some cool accessoires in the non-exclusive version.
I wish is that SS made diorama bases for each figure instead of the flat logo bases that come with them now. I was very excited to hear about the base on the Sith Probe Droids that was a sand base and that the exclusive was gonna come with an extra sand base cover. I think that we need more dioramas, but in all of the lines, from LOTR to Buffy, any-one else agree?
I think the alien Jedi Knights & Masters were the best thing to come out of the prequels. I can’t wait for Plo & any other alien that SS puts out, Jedi or other-wise. But my first choice would have to be Sora Bulq, then Aayla Secura. Other female charactes would also be cool.
Some MAY refer to Plo Koon as a “nobody”, but he’s actually one of the most powerful Jedi on the council; I’m talking top 4 or 5, up close to even Yoda and Mace. When Palpatine was searching for a new apprentice, there were a few “candidates”, per-say, besides Dooku. These others were nowhere near Dooku, of course, but nonetheless, Koon took out at least one or two “Dark Jedi” with ridiculous ease. Also, I think he was involved somehow in helping to hunt down Qui-gon’s second apprentice, who had betrayed the council and fled to study the Dark Side. Anyway, from what I’ve read (as far as OFFICIAL Lucas storyline goes), this guy is NOT someone you want to mess with; unfortunately, he didn’t have any really great fight scenes in the films, but Lucas’ tv series in 2008 might just change that…
My guess is that the exclusive item included will be part of either the Battle of Geonosis (another piece of droid…maybe Super Battle droid, this time) or the Jedi Council room (another Hologram item or Jedi tool). He was flying over Cato Neimoidia when Order 66 was enacted. Maybe it’ll be something to do with the Neimoidians. This one stumps me.

This a better rendition than the Hasbro version several years back, but if they were going to do another Jedi, then why couldn’t they have done a Saesee Tinn, Agen Kolar (or even Eeth Koth), some/ANY character that Hasbro didn’t do. Kit Fisto was SUPREME!! Better yet, one of the female Jedi (I REALLY, REALLY want an Luminara Unduli) would be great. Sideshow really needs to get cracking on putting some females in this collection. I know we got Leia coming, but she’s not in my most favorite outfit (BESPIN GOWN Sideshow…BESPIN GOWN). Bunny suit Padme will be a most welcome edition when it is released. Will we ever see an Oola? Hey, I’d welcome a Jocasta Nu. Only time will tell, I guess.

The jury is still out on Plo (for future displaying reasons), but I’ll probably cave! He looks great! I got Mace today and I have to say that I was not sure about this one, but he is the best so far! OK…where are Yoda (since any size and price seem to happen) and Darth Vader (ANH)? I’m betting the 30th ‘versary is gonna be huge with OTC figs…so we shall have patience. Speaking of the ‘verse…Firefly/Serenity 12 inch would be great from SSC. I really do not think any other company would get it and the price right! So Dusty if your reading, keep trying to plug for this liscense.

Very sweet! I like that he has a different style of cloak than the other jedi that have been previously released, not to mention his hip turtleneck-style shirt.
