  1. kaiburr says:

This is seriously my favorite 1/6 figure next to SS Luke. The likeness is stunning…. these SS pictures are very unflattering of the sculpt. I have passed on other Medicoms because I thought their scale was off but with Yoda, that matters little. By the way, he is holding his snack, not the Gimer stick (comes with both). My only complaint is the steep price, but hey, he’s an import after all.

  2. Matt says:

Sixty bucks for five inches of plastic Yoda? No thanks! I know it’s not Sideshow’s fault, but jeez! That’s pretty pricey if you ask me. Vader is nine inches tall for the same price! Seems to me that Yoda should cost half the price. A super deformed Yoda would be much cooler as well. Thumbs down Medicom.

  3. Chew says:

“How you get so big, eating food of this kind?”
    Very cool likeness!

  4. Ignacio says:

I do want one. When will this piece be available for purchase?? My sideshow Anakin needs this Yoda on his side for guidance.

  5. jediJP says:

I am a little confused about this one, I thought VCD were super deformed figures but this looks realistic as hell? I guess if SS is offering him, that means they do not plan on making one themeselves for a while.

  6. Gary Butler says:

Sideshow, you continue to suprise the vast star wars fan base. This yoda looks incredibaly detailed and a must for a personal collection. Will you be making a yoda of this caliber for the 12″ figure line?

    Kudos again

  7. Puay says:

I will give this a pass. I will be faithfully waiting for the SSC 12″ scale version. Hah hah.

  8. Anonymous says:

batman, it isn’t long enough to be his gimmel stick. looks more like the snack he stole from Luke, or a doobie… lol
As for my two cents… please release a 12 inch scale of Yoda soon in the Jedi line… maybe for Christmas… maybe one that would fit in a Luke from Bespin 12 inch figure.
PS Great job on the Plo Koon.

  9. batman says:

That is Yoda’s “Gimmel stick”, i’m sure.
This is not a Sidehow figure, so, I seriously doubt this is replacing anything SS has planned.

  10. Matt says:

Think I’ll be passing on this one. I grabbed the Vader cuz the figure had so much character, but this looks like plain Yogurt, I mean Yoda. Looks the same as every other Yoda out there. If he was all cartooney he’d be in my shopping cart….

  11. Engelhast says:

I loved Vader and the Troopers because the style was very cartoon like. The Yoda does not even look like it is part of the same line IMO. That complaint aside it is still a nice looking piece of work.

  12. Fu_obiwan says:

just noticed the finger maybe the toilet paper of Dagobah isn’t so great ? who knows

  13. John says:

Kind of looks like he has a cigar there in his hand reminded me of George Burns :> ” an Alien I am. impervious to lung cancer am I”

  14. Wampahuntr says:

He looks like he just got outta bed and is about to have a bad hair day !

    Aha ! the cane…..What a ruse.

  15. buj says:

Rich, the Medicom Stormtrooper RAH figure is up for order now at the official Star Wars website’s store. It appears that they are the spot to get the Star Wars Medicom RAH figures as they previously had both Luke and Darth Vader.

  16. Darth Fetid says:

Looking good pointy-ears, would be my first VCD

  17. Adam says:

Oh this is so cool. SS is going to save me major $ from not having to import this. THANKS SIDESHOW!!!!!!!

  18. Gruff Old Bear says:

Medicom’s vinyl figures hit a high mark for artistry. The Japanese company is a good fit with Sideshow; it’s a very natural partnership. Go well with Sideshow Luke, Yoda will.

  19. shaun-o says:

    Mr.Hanky-Hi-Dee-Ho!

  20. Mark says:

I believe this Yoda is in scale with Medicom’s own 12″ Star Wars line. Because of it’s size it was classified as a VCD as it is made of vinyl (except for the clothes…obviously) and not a “RAH” because of the body type. Medciom is also releasing a 12″ Black Hole Stormtrooper and Boba Fett next.

  21. Darth Icarus says:

    Yep,looks like A blunt.
This piece looks awsome, but what scale is it?
When does it go on sale?

  22. buj says:

Is this figure in scale to the 12″ figures? Looks pretty cool, but what is that in his left hand? Is it supposed to be the snack that he stole from Luke in Episode 5 or a joint? If it is the latter, that might explain his slightly glazed over look.

  23. IAN KOKKELER says:

I love the VCD. they have so much personality. The Boba Fetts are my favorites, but this one is classic

  24. taun-taun boy says:

This isn’t going to replace Sideshow’s own version of yoda for the Star Wars 12″ line is it? Looking very forward to that one I am.

  25. Kodi says:

Will this be replacing the Yoda we’ve been waiting for from the Sideshow Jedi Master line?

  26. baytoy says:

Does this mean SS will not be launching him under Jedi line anytime soon?

What’s SS strategy anyway with the Medicom overlapping their own 12″ line?

  27. Rich says:

Who knew Yoda liked to carry feces around in his hand.
Will you be carrying the Medicom Stormtrooper????

  28. Batman says:

Hmm. Looks like I may have to break down and get a VCD. Not a VCD fan; but, this one doesn’t look goofy. But, then again, at $60+ tax+ s/h, maybe I should wait for the 12″ scale line.
    Hmmm.

  29. Eric says:

I’ve passed on the other VCD figures but as soon as I saw this one on Medicom’s site I was hoping Sideshow would import it. I’ll probably order one.

  30. Ignacio says:

I sure do want one. When will it be for sale??

  31. Fu_obiwan says:

I like it I would have liked it more if it had been made in the “prequels” style of yoda

  32. Luca says:

    I’ll get him for sure!

  33. Rob says:

Wow, looks great. That’s gonna be on my order list for sure!
