Q: What is Sideshow Rewards?
A: The Sideshow Rewards is how we thank our dedicated collectors for shopping with us! Your purchases will earn rewards points, which can be redeemed for some of our hottest collectibles!
Q: How do I start?
A: To begin earning rewards points, you need to create an online account. You can begin at the link below: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/adduser.cgi If you already have an account, then you are on your way!
Q: How do I earn rewards?
A: Points can be earned on almost every product that we sell through our online store. You will earn one Sideshow Reward point for every dollar spent on the product price for all products marked with our Sideshow Rewards red star! You can also earn Sideshow Rewards through special promotions, contests and surveys through our site!
Long time Sideshow Collectors will begin their Sideshow Rewards program with 'Bonus Point' rewards, which are points approximately equal to dollars spent on completed purchases made with us from May 1, 2006 through September 30, 2006.
Point earned from purchases made since September 30th will find the points in the "Pending" section of their account balance until the orders have passed the 30 day product guarantee window and become available to use.
As of January 8th, 2009, phone orders will be eligible to earn reward points. Collectors will not be able to earn rewards on purchases made using your Sideshow Rewards, a gift card, e-coupon or other discount.
Q: How can I view my rewards points?
A: Online account holders can monitor their Sideshow Rewards in the rewards area located towards the bottom of their online account page. All new Sideshow Rewards are listed in the Rewards area in your online account as 'Pending' points. Rewards points will become available to use or appear as "Active" points after full payment for the item/order is received and you have retained the item past our Product Guarantee window, which would be approximately 40 days after shipment.
Q: What can I purchase with my Sideshow Rewards?
A: You can use your rewards towards a purchase of almost all of Sideshow's products on our site!
Q: How do I redeem my Sideshow Rewards on a purchase?
A: You must redeem your rewards through purchases made through our online store. You can exchange 20 Sideshow Rewards for every dollar of the product's price. There is a Sideshow Rewards area located on the check out page, which displays how many Sideshow Rewards that you have 'active' and available to apply towards your order. Simply choose the amount you would like to use and select the apply check box!
Your Sideshow Rewards are not eligible to be used towards shipping costs, taxes, duties, and import fees. You also will not be able to use Sideshow Rewards in combination with any other promotion, discount, e-coupon or Sideshow Gift Card.
Cancellations, refunds and other icky things
If you cancel a pre-order online, then the Sideshow Rewards for that purchase will automatically be deducted from the pending area, just as a placed pre-order places them within that area automatically.
If you are shipped your item and return it for a refund then the Sideshow Rewards from that purchase should be expected to be deducted from the Pending area within 30 days of the return /refund.
If your purchase was made with Sideshow Rewards and the item was returned and refunded for any reason, then your Sideshow Rewards will NOT be funded back to your account. Please make sure you choose wisely on which items you spend your Sideshow Rewards!
Earning Points
Q: Can I redeem rewards on the entire purchase cost?
A: No, you can only redeem Sideshow Rewards on product price. You will be required to pay taxes, shipping, duties and/ or import fees.
Q: Why do we have to wait 40 days to have our points become active for use?
A: Sideshow Collectibles provides all of our customers with a 30-Day Product Guarantee. During this time they have the opportunity to receive, open and inspect the collectible in order to decide whether they would like to keep it. The forty day time frame allows for shipping and the product guarantee policy to be afforded to our customers before finalizing reward point allocations.
Q: Can I earn points from phone orders? (Updated Jan 2009)
A: As of January 8th 2009, phone orders will now be eligible to earn Sideshow Rewards. Please note, phone orders placed previous to January 8th 2009 will not qualify for Sideshow Rewards.
Q: I made a flex pay purchase. When will my Rewards become active?
A: Your rewards will become active approximately forty (40) days after shipment from our warehouse.
Q: Can I combine Gift Card and Sideshow Rewards to purchase my item?
A: Unfortunately, you can only use one promotion to purchase your item. Members do not earn points for purchases made in whole or in part using Sideshow Rewards Points, Gift Cards, e-coupons, etc. Members cannot redeem points on discounted items, or combine points with any other promotion, including gift cards, e-coupons, rebates, etc.
Q: I placed a pre-order months ago, however I have earned Sideshow Rewards since then that I would like to use towards this order. How do I do this?
A: If the item that you pre-ordered is still available on our site to pre-order, then simply cancel your pending pre-order and replace it. You can apply your Sideshow Rewards on the check out page prior to submitting your pre-order to us. If your item is in SOLD OUT status, then unfortunately you will not be able to apply any Rewards to this pre-order.
Wait List Questions
Q: Can I use Rewards towards Wait list reservations?
A: No. At this time, reward points are not applicable to Wait List Reservations, however we do hope to add this functionality in the future.
Cancellation/Refund Questions
Q: If I cancel a pre-order, will my Sideshow Rewards be taken away?
A: Yes.
Q: If I cancel a pre-order which I purchased with Sideshow Rewards, will my rewards be replaced into my account?
A: No.
Q: I received a refund for an item I purchased with Sideshow Rewards. When will the Rewards be replaced back into my account?
A: They will not. Once you use your rewards they are depleted from your account.
