  1. eric says:

Excellent work as usual on the Medicom Toy Sandtrooper. Could you please release a Snowtrooper, AT-AT driver & Biker Scout without the Bike. Keep up the good work

  2. JEFF DAVNPORT says:

hit the wrong button, as I was saying this figure will also be hot. Well worth th $$$

  3. JEFF DAVNPORT says:

Medicom and Sideshow toys ar the hottest on the market. All there stuff is in high demand especially exclusives.

  4. kukman says:

Oh yeah, forgot about that… but no STENs.

  5. Gab says:

Actually, quite a few of the Sterlings weren’t decommissioned (I’m assuming you mean that they didn’t work anymore), scenes like the Death Star chasm or the escape from Bespin clearly show casings being ejected from the submachinegun.

  6. Aliens Fan says:

Yeah it’s pretty cool. But I’d have to say not worth the $150.00 for a figure thats not to scale. I sold my SW collection because of all the variations that Star Wars toys are known for. George Lucas is laughing all the way to the bank.

  7. Sentinel says:

I think I’ll wait on this one, because once Sideshow releases these 1000, there are already a bunch on eBay from Japan that aren’t part of these 1000, and you can get them cheaper imported from Japan yourself.

  8. kukman says:

Just to clarify, the Sten is the early version of the Sterling- The E-11 is based on the “Sterling”. By based on, I mean they actually used decommisioned Sterlings to make the E-11 props.

  9. Seattle Guy says:

ho hum. Another import. How exiting, a great way to start the 30th celebration SS. By importing figure you should be making. but then your plate was probably full making “Bun Attack Leia” The price is getting to steep to boether with some of these guys. Make the cloes, make the troopers, to SS scale, and then your customers will be happy.

  10. arnold says:

    Yes they were!!!

  11. Rictor says:

I am so in love with these Medicom dolls. Their armored division is going to give Sideshow a run for the money. The only way Sideshow can match their quality and ultimate perfection, is to make their upcoming armor in metal. I have two friends, mrmforce and jeditricks, who are devote Sideshow fans and will not purchase any Medicom whatsoever. They are waiting for Sideshow to make these dolls. I think their being retarded. You might as well wait for the Second Coming or for George Lucas to make Episodes 7, 8, and 9. Seize the moment!

  12. Gab says:

    Weren’t Stormtrooper carbines modified Sterlings?

  13. arnold says:

Years ago when I was in the military, My brigade would periodically go to the National Training Center near Death Valley California for desert warfare training. Occasionaly, I would imagine myself as a sandtrooper on patrol, especially on dismounted missions. ( I am such a geek!) The Sandtrooper is so ICONIC…Thank you SIdeshow for Bringing this one over!!!

  14. arnold says:

Some Sandtroopers are indeed carrying modified WW2 German MG-34s as blaster props.
The front sight has been removed, as well as the rear flip up sight. This weapon from Medicom looks prety spot-on. The regular blaster rifle is also a modified British Sten gun. Almost all of the weapons from the original trilogy are based on real world weaponry. For my Marmit Sandtrooper, I used a modified Dragon Models MG-34. Looks superb and even it even has a sling.

  15. Gab says:

All Sandtrooper models/figures that have come out have had an MG-34, whether Marmit, Koto, or GG. None had added the the “windshield wipers” to the front half of the barrel (among other things). It’s cheaper just to get a 1/6 MG-34 from a secondary supplier (Dragon, DiD,…).

  16. psc says:

I don’t know about this! Notice the blaster he is holding is actually a German WW2 MG-34! Not at all like the blaster rifle from the movie. For $150 you would think they could make an authentic replica!

  17. Brit Collector says:

Whilst this is once again another high quality effort from Medicom which I will almost certainly be buying, I can’t help feeling a little disappointed. Firstly, it would have been nicer to see a figure that has not been done before in the 1/6th scale (eg. any of the named clone commanders with their armour modifications like Cody or Bacarra, galactic marine/snowtrooper). Secondly, I can’t help feeling a little ripped off in that this is essentially another $150 or so for a figure that Medicom have already released twice and will not have to expend a lot of effort in creating (all they have to do is add a pauldron, backpack and rifle to the standard RAH stormtrooper).
Don’t get me wrong – it looks great, but come on Sideshow, when are we going to see the figures we really want from your military line?

  18. Kevin C says:

The rumor about Sideshow not making any 1/6 scale Star Wars figure that has armor until 2009 or even 2010, must be true with the future release of Jango Fett from Medicom toys. I guess neither company want to compete against one another. I would call Medicom toys’ 1/6 scale figures, more like 1/6.5 scale.

  19. arnold says:

The wife has cleared it! If I can get through, I will be ordering this figure, and the 12″ Yavin Luke. (I have the Hasbro Farm Boy garb, and I will kitbash the boots) Wow, Sideshow, thank you so much for giving us nerds something to get excited about!

  20. darkride says:

Ok I origanly posted that this was not really worth it and even though I do think it was a litte steep the first trooper is AWESOME!!! Also, It stands right up there to any of the other figures and does not IMO look bad at all!! Dang you Side show now I have to get one of these now TOO!!!

  21. arnold says:

Can’t wait for the 30th!!! I really want to get this one!!!

  22. Tony says:

I will get this as i already have the RAH stormtrooper and shadow trooper, But i would like to see some different troopers, a RAH biker scout and snow trooper would be amazing and make me very happy (perhaps sideshow could sujest this to medicom for me), also the upcoming RAH jango fett looks amazing, will sideshow be stocking this item?

  23. Tom Pinney says:

How many times are we going to see a Sandtrooper. Come on get with the clones,ARC’s, Scorches, something new, and preferably 1/4 scale. I must have a dozen or so storm/sandtroopers. Boring…….:{(

  24. ks says:

David is right the medicom clone trooper is
Shorter than sideshow obiwan but just a litte bit.now if you compare the first medicom stormtrooper to obiwan it’s a big difference.so I guess medicom is using a new body size that’s good.I can’t wait to get this sandtrooper figure.I also noticed that medicom ghost rider has this new taller size body..also waiting on medicom jango fett

  25. arnold says:

ANH sandtroopers have different heights, so he will look OK next to my Marmit sandtrooper…I cannot wait to pre-order this one….I still wish SS would make their own though…still waiting and keeping my fingers crossed!

  26. Skullsplitter says:

Pretty freakin cool looking but I just can’t justify the $$$

  27. abake says:

    That is quite beautiful!
I’ll order one for sure, Medicom figures are spectacular.

  28. joe says:

he looks great, though I will probably wait unit ssc makes there own to match the scale with my other star wars figures, he is very tempting however, so i may break down and buy him anyway.

  29. Mooncat says:

Quite sexy looking – I always worry about white plastic figures as Ive noticed a few old ones – (and not so old) that I have purchased from other sources (other than sideshow) that have yellowed. Unfortunately Ive looked online to see if theres anything that can be done to reduce the yellowing and Ive found that the yellow is throughout the plastic and not just a surfce that can be cleaned !

  30. HAPPYBOY says:

March on Sandtroopers, march on. Looks great Sideshow. The anniversary continues to bring great things from Sideshow. :D

  31. darkride says:

I got two of the first ST and must say it was not worth 150, for the first time in this line I may have to pass if it is that much, not worth it IMO.

  32. icarus says:

pretty cool , but too much to pay for non true 12″
Can only afford the SS right now.:(

  33. Mike S says:

    FINALLY!!!!
    THIS LOOKS AMAZING!

  34. Tony says:

This looks great, But not for me i’m holding on for a premium format storm/sand trooper, Hint Hint.

  35. David says:

I’ll pass on this one. I mistakenly purchased the medicom Clone knowing full well their 12″ figures are too small to be displayed next to that Of Sideshow collectibles. Anyone wanting a comparison pic of SS Obi Wan and Medicom Clone Trooper, get me at Sideshow Rules @ aol.com. I still think Sideshow needs to tighten up their 12″ body joints. After posing them a handfulla times, they lose their stiffness. Sideshow still rules however. Just waiting for the Star Wars Millitary line!

  36. Darth Mel says:

I am very pleased with the new stormtrooper. Now I can raise an army ready for the new 12″ Darth Vader as was intended for the Lords of the Sith line (hint-hint)

  37. DarthRayne says:

    Lame. Try something cool.

  38. daniel says:

probably $150 for a few reasons, 1- its an exclusive to the convention and 2- cause its probably more limited than others we have seen. SO YAY! for us.lol ill be skipping on this one due to unexpected things, but it looks great. good luck though for all of you who want this.

  39. Konig says:

AMAZING. I just hope the price will be in accordance with the 30th Anniversary and a lower one as a reward for 30 years of FANDOM!

  40. Tetsuoh says:

Can’t wait SSC! Just one question: $129 or $150?
