I think the Yavin Luke is excellent! For a convention exclusive, they could have just did a repaint like they did with “Sith Eyes Anakin”. They could have just repacked Jedi Luke with an Endor poncho and helmet (which could have been expected with the Endor Strike Bundle now shipping) or something like that, but this Luke has a new outfit, accessory, and a whole new head sculpt that is fantastic! I’m very happy with it!!
I agree with you Dave, but I would also like to see a Sora Bulq figure, please SS.
Good job on the Luke SS! All your figures look great so far. I’d love to see a bounty hunter set, Jango Fett, Tusken Raider with Jawa, C-3PO and R2-D2, Darth Vader with removable armor, Yoda, Max Rebo Band collection, Stormtroopers, Clone Troopers and much more! Keep up the good work and I hope you continue the 12″ scale for years to come!
I am fairly new to sideshow, couple months, but I picked up a Jedi Luke which I love, and I have Vader Medicom and Stormtrooper…but I would love it if you guys made them in sideshow versions. And more more more original trilogy figures..I agree with the consenses of quit with the same figures in different clothing, its boring…and kind of weak. Do those figures after you tackle the main characters. Alec Guiness Obi Wan is needed, R2, C3PO…come on.. pretty please? ha
Wow. This one is (yawn) great. Can’t wait to (yawn) spend $60 for an action figure based on a part of the movie where all he did was stand. This is a must pass! As far as a Bespin Luke, that would be cool. At least it wouldn’t be an extra feature to have the hand fall off, since it seems like they all have that feature. Keep up the work.
Just ordered mine. Easy, peasy process. I was surprised at how many you will have, though. 6000 sounds like a LOT! And that is just the pickup number…

I hope that when SS finally makes a Luke in Bespin fatigues, that he will come with an extra battle-damaged head or at least battle-damaged fatigues if nothing else. I still think that I would rather have an extra head with each figure instead of the accessories, my Mace Windu just doesnt look right if he’s not looking pissed off, LOL. looks cool, but im off the 12 inch line, some of the standards of recent figures have been a bit disappointing. All i can say is….PREMIUM FORMAT, LUKE BESPIN (LIGHT UP SABER), LUKE HOTH, SITH ANAKIN (LIGHT UP SABER), HAN HOTH!
Like to go to C4. Will be getting the non-attendee version.

WOW! Excellent likeness of Mark Hamill! Ofcourse so was the Jedi Luke but I think this one is even better. I will be trying to get this one for sure. Like other fans I’m hoping to kit bash the two figures just for more display options. Great job Sideshow! Now where’s his Daddy?

This will be my seven:th 12″ figure that I will not bother to order – eight if you count Plo Koon that I have canceled. I don’t feel that this Luke has much to give in my collection, although it is a better face-sculpt. We’ll wait and see about the next one, whoever that will be…
Yeah, but it’s only cool if it actually exists. I’ll only believe that if I’m able to order one. It’s not convincing enough if only 500 people somewhere out there say so – more people claim to have seen Bigfoot…
A Luke in Full Bespin Fatigues would have ruled, but this one rocks! I will get it for kit bashing…I have some old Hasbro stormtrooper armor I have been meaning to use…

Woo Boy! I say make all the Main characters in order! My Hasbro’s are just not holding up next to these! Argh!! Sorry, we don’t need Mon Mothma or Hammerhead!! I want my Tatooine Luke and A New Hope Han Solo!!!

I love reading all the comments by other people. Star Wars fans are such a fickle bunch. They want everything right away and to complain the whole time about it. Relax, folks! This is a super-cool figure. It is going to sell out like all of the ones have. If you feel you don’t need to own it, or you can pass it up, declaring it and complaining doesn’t make you cooler or better than those of us that do.
Sideshow, keep up the great work. I actually adore the first Luke that kicked this line off, but I have to say, you really captured Mark Hamill in all of his late 70′s glory.
This figure looks GREAT! This will be my second figure to order. Do we know what his accessories will be? Gun, Lightsaber, Gold Medal (of course)? Keep the classics comming !!
Nice sculpt but not sure it’s unique enough to spend the money on. I have always thought that yellow jacket is ugly, and maybe that’s the main reason I am not excited about buying this one even if it is a limited exclusive.
I’ll be happy to add Yavin Luke to my collection, if I get a shot at him, being a Non-Attendee. What’s the ES going to be? Can’t you tell us?
I’m on the fence with this one. I have every 12″ figure sideshow has done up to this point ( minus Bounty hunter Leis) Loved the origional Leia much more.
However Sideshow please consider making new figures never done before. Please dont be like Hasbro and re-ake the same figures over and over just with new outfits. Now a Bespin Leia or Ewok Cellebration Leia would be cool since they have never been made in the 12″ scale. and an updated bespin Lando would be a good one as well. and Alec Guiness as Obi Wan, Darth Vader with the black outfit and removable helment. also boba Fett, a Good Stormtrooper, and a Tuskin Raider and Jawa. Those should be remade to your standards.
New Figures that would be VERY much appreciated would be.
Oola, Gargon, Max Rebo and his Organ, Sy Snoodles, Droopy McCool, Amanaman with Staff, Ephant Mon, Emperor Palpitine with throne, a good classic Queen amidala with her red suit from her first appearence, an incredible Boss Nass, a B’Omar monk (that would freaking Rock!!!), Mon Mothma, Admiral Ackbar, and some Ewoks.
Dont you think some of those ideas would be AWESOME!!! I sure do.
You can rest assured that I will be buying this one. No snide comments today.

While the other exclusives are nice, this one is truely the best of the 3. I’m really glad to have the Anakin from SDCC, but this one has got me nervous because this offering is more than just a re-paint, it’s a legitimatly different version of the character. Unfortunatly, it’s a figure I can’t go without in my collection. Back when Sideshow offered thier first Luke, I made a decision to stick to the 12″ format because of the quality Sideshow offered. This peice represents that and makes me glad I’ve been a “completist” with the line!
This is one I consider as a “Gotta Have”..
Only wish Sideshow would’ve made Leia hero ceremony figure instead of the current pre-order Leia. It looks like Luke will be standing all by himself, or will he.

Gentle Giant lost my business because of their terrible exclusive practices. Completeist devoted fans SHOULD have a shot at all exclusives. Even if they can’t attend. Sideshow has always been #1 when it comes to customer care and satisfaction. Therefore you will always have my business.
