This is one of Sideshow’s best to date. Excellent attention to detail. Definatly cant pass this one up!
I saw this figure in person @ C4 and this photo in no way does him any justice. In person it looks like they took Alec Guiness’s head and shrunk it. Absolutely incredible likeness. Good luck everyone.
I love this figure. I have always been a fan of Sideshow, but I am really going to start making my entire collection based around these figures.

(Separately, I was looking at a 1983-era making of Return of the Jedi, that thick white softcover with the movie poster centered in the middle of the cover, that every ten year old boy had a copy of.
There was this great shot of Weequay on the skiff and it seemed like he would make a great Scum & Villainy figure, as he was sort of a silent icon of the whole Jabba/skiff scenario.)

(He even had less lines that Boba Fett! Does that make him cooler? Maybe not, but he would still make a great, classic 12″ RotJ offering in my book.)

Dude – that likeness is incredible. When I first pulled up the page, I thought it was a photograph of Alec Guiness. Bravo to Sideshow!
I am thrilled to see this piece available for preorder so soon after CIV! I really loved it, the head sculpt was astounding, the outfit was authentic, and the accessories were fantastic. I’m also digging the new Thursday preorder day and 10am preorder time a lot more, 9am was just too early.
Would have expected this one to be an Inclusive? I know folks dont like them, but this is one of the most anticipated characters yet.
This figure looks very promising. I was able to examine the prototype up close and personal at Sideshow’s booth at CIV. The likeness is dead-on and the clothing is is spectacular. I also saw a small holo Leiah next to him on display so that might be the exclusive item. I have to agree with everyone. The sculp on this one is the really close to the liness of Alec Guiness. I just hope that the final product will be as close or a match to the prototype. If it is, then we are looking at the best 12″ figure of ‘ol Ben Kenobi to date!

its good to see SS back with figures that stir up so much excitement in its fans. i have not seen this many comments in a long time. great job SS, now we just need to see some affordable imperial armored soldiers, medicom look nice, but ANH stormtroopers for a fair $ would be nice “from a certain point of view.” also a fett family pack? biker scouts, snow troopers, and clones, oh my! “PLEASE,…HEAR ME!”

I saw some photos of the Kenobi figure at the convention from other coverage websites, and they actually looked even better than this promo shot here. That, in my mind, is a very good thing. I always felt that the Sideshow 12″ pieces don’t seem to photo as well as they look in person, and I say that about all of the figures to date. I cannot say why that is the case, but it is a consistent issue in my eye. The paint apps may well be the factor (especially with the eyes), certainly the way light or shadow sits on them. But there’s no denying the sculpt looks fantastic.

Looks great! Now where’s stormtroopers and Vader. Stop with the brown robed guys please. It looks great and will fit nicely into my shelf o’ sideshow, but come on! Vader. How many of us have to say it how many times? And this thing better not cost no 70.00 either.

Bravo sideshow. I’m so glad to have a good version of old Ben. Maybe as an exclusive his trunk with Anakins lightsaber in it. Love this one but please dont forget Jabba the Hutts band. Please consider doing them. and an OOla even an Amanaman and Gargon would look AWESOME in the Jabba set. I have every piece thus far and will continue to buy. Thank you so much

WOW! I think I just woke my entire household shouting for joy! This is one awesome figure!!!!!!!!!!!!
But remember, a good sculpt can be ruined by poor a paint job, and Alec had those very glassy blue eyes that I don’t yet see here.

A year ago I never owned one piece of Sideshow merchandise. Then last summer I saw the picks of the Jabba w/Throne and decided that I would only buy him and maybe some of his cronies. As time passed, I couldn’t help but grab more and more of these truly amazing figures. Now I have Jabba w/Throne, Salacious Crumb etc., Bib Fortuna, Bespin Han Solo, Luke Jedi, Darth Maul, Sith Probes, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Obi-Wan ROTS, Anakin and Qui-Gon. I have to say that these are so far the best Star Wars figures ever made! I love the new ANH Obi-Wan and will be adding him to my growing Jedi collection.
I am looking forward to more of these babies: Chewbacca, C3PO & R2D2 (2 pack), Bespin Luke & Leia, Bespin & Skiff Lando, Darth Vader, Sidious, Tyranus, Comm. Cody, Bree, Bacura, Tessek, Ree Yees, Gamorrean Guards, Frozen Han Solo, Boba & Jango Fett, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, Zuckuss, and more. I am committed to this line because I can see by the quality that Sideshow is committed to this line too. Way to go Sideshow! May the Force Continue To Be With You!
