Mike V. - Great work on the Planet of the Apes collectibles. Are there more coming out ever?

Sideshow Collectibles: Our design and creative teams really enjoyed working on Planet of the Apes. There's a good chance that you'll see more Apes in the future.

Nicole J. - I have a Chewbacca, C-3Po, & X-Wing Fighter ring. They are 30yrs old in the original box & in very good shape. I was wondering how much they might be worth?

Sideshow Collectibles: We have an original tin lunchbox from Empire Strikes Back, and a plastic lunchbox of Wicket talking with Artoo. Would you like to trade?

Wai Lun K. - Which Star Wars toys will be most valuable in the future? And is there a comprehensive list out?

Sideshow Collectibles: There are a lot of great resources for checking the value of your collectible, but very few crystal balls. We recommend doing a 'completed item' search on eBay, or tracking down one of Steve Sansweet's books on Star Wars collectibles. There are also monthly toy price guides from Toyfare and Lee's Action Figure News and Toy Review magazines. Tomart's Action Figure Digest is a great source of collectible news and information, and they do periodic features on various collections, properties, and fan favorite lines.

Kes W. - I have a question about the new Premium Format Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper. Was the overall length of the bike shortened, as it looks a little stubby. If the reason for keeping the length down was for ease of packaging, could you just make the front section a separate piece and slot the main body and front section together when assembling?

Sideshow Collectibles: The bike was not shortened intentionally for any packing / assembly reason, it is an accurately scaled bike, per blueprints from the licensor. We are in the midst of revisions to a few areas of the bike, and will be posting new images on www.SideshowCollectibles.com in the future - watch our newsletter for details!

Tom B. - Hey guys and gals, I saw mentioned in the latest 'Ask Sideshow' that Electric Tiki has an Elvira statue debuting soon. I checked their website and it said the statue was available now, but I can't find it on your site. It also said the piece is limited to initial orders. I'm trying to get this statue for my dad 'cause I think it would be the perfect addition to his Elvira pinball machine. So, obviously, I don't want to miss out. Is she available yet or not? Please Help!!!

Sideshow Collectibles: Electric Tiki produced an Elvira statue roughly two years ago, but sad to say that it's long gone from most sources. You could probably track one down on the secondary market. And be sure to watch for new Electric Tiki announcements coming to www.SideshowCollectibles.com in the future!

Tim B. - Any word on the once mentioned World of Warcraft piece?

Keep an eye on www.SideshowCollectibles.com - we're getting ready to reveal the sculpture, possibly at San Diego Comic-Con!

Thank you all for submitting such intriguing questions. Keep watching our Production Blog and listening to our Podcasts as we continue to answer more Ask Sideshow questions in the future!

Suggestions for Submitting a Question

Do you have a question for our Production Team? [Ask Sideshow!]

Please Note: If you would like to submit a question using the form, please remember that Ask Sideshow should NOT be used as a way to solicit for a job, contact Customer Service, ask about a shipping date, or register a complaint. Most of those questions, comments, and solicitations can be most efficiently sent to us by filling out our online Customer Service Request Form.

Also, a fair warning: Questions that ask, "Will you be doing/Why don't you do [insert license or character name]?" will probably never be answered. We're happy to drop hints when we can, but we cannot answer any direct questions about what we're planning in the future for a variety of reasons, which include (but are not limited to) licensing, production, artistic contracts, and ever-changing schedules and projected release dates. Please feel free to use the form for all these sorts of questions or quasi-suggestions, BUT don't be offended when we don't answer to your full satisfaction... or don't answer at all - it's not personal, we promise!

  1. chucky says:

hey sideshow, im in love with the seed of chucky life size figure, and i dont have one yet, im turning 14 soon, and i cant seem to find one the same price as yours. CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE MORE!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Brendan Liong says:

Is there a way to get the original prototype pictures of items(i.e 12 inch figures) you guys post before they are available for purchase, at the pre-order stages? I realize that there are significant differences in the piant applications on the prototype picture as compared with teh actual release.
