    i dont think sideshow will be having anymore pre-orders for us ,ive grown tired of waiting you tubes new videos of hot toys batman begins, and predator already in collectors hands when we havent even got a clue, im probably just gonna rder one from ebay just to make sur i get one! one last thought ive never had the chance to go to comic con, but sideshow managed to bring the show to us, last year was very exciting, and all year i was looking foward to this year, and im sorry to report that this year was not as good.

Or could July 30th and 31st be the days where the last of the exclusives will be shown for pre-orders? Heh heh, the suspense is killing me, I’m sure you guys too.     The Secret Project Iron Man didn’t sell out in 5-10 mins. I know this because it took me over 30 mins just to log onto the website to pre-order. Then it was another good hour or so before it was sold out. So just calm down and stop with the freaking drama.

    The Secret Project Iron Man wasn’t that bad. In fact I’d say it was one of the easiest high-demand exclusives to get. I think Sideshow learned from last year’s Predator experience. It’s true the website crashed and there were servers problems due to traffic but if you waited patiently everything happened in due course. It was just that initial few minutes of the streamlined period which attracted the crazies (like me notwithstanding) and caused delays. A half hour later the figure went up for regular orders and was easily available. I think there was a good hour or more in which one could place an order before it sold out. Even the wait list was easy for most. I think the Batman and Predator will be much the same and crazy at first but not that hard to order if we’re all patient within that day. BE HOPEFUL AND DON’T ENCOURAGE THE SCALPERS ON EBAY!

    If you are waiting for the Toys Fair Hot Toys Batman, or the Shadow Predator, good luck. The Secret Project Iron Man sold out in about 5-10 minutes, and there was so much traffic people were getting kicked from the site, and that was the least desired of the 3. If/when they announce those you better order it within the first minute and hope you don’t lose your place, or expect to pay the ebay 2-300% mark-up. An exclusive version of the Boba Fett may be nearly as bad. Sucks for those of us with jobs or lives offline…

    not dissapointed but waiting to order batman and predator, show specials from hot toys, i dont have room for anything other than the smaller 12″ stuff but if i dont get to order thru ss than i wind up payin 4-600 $ for them elsewhere and at that price i wish i had room for the bigger stuff since it cost abaut the same or less! all we are asking for is please start to give us hints again and daily announcements!!!

    Just got back from my first Comic Con and the Sideshow Booth blows all the other booths away. Great displays but I’m not sure why you guys are holding back, your New Products and Products Calendar on the website look too simlar and hasn’t changed in days. Let it fly, the other websites and bloggers are beating you to the punch and showing some great pictures.

    No doubt there are some exciting times ahead with the DC and LSF announcements, and there were a good numbers of fine pre-order opportunites for collectors prior to the official SDCC event, but not a single piece of LOTR-related news since July 16th?….and not a single LOTR PF even at the show? Say what you want SS, but from a LOTR perspective you ‘mailed this one in’…..and you know it.

    Wow…nothing today, 7/23 too. I really hope I’m just too early and there will be something new to order. I like the previewed items, but the pre-order items are more relevant to us fans right now. I’m almost falling alseep…wake me up Sideshow Colletibles. In the beginning you guys were releasing a lot of things, but for the last couple of days you stopped. Remember…the majority of your customers are not at the SDCC, so we need a reason to stay awake. :-)

    $2K a piece for the Legendary PF..Ouch is Right!! I thought they would be less than that, but of course you have to take in consideration the quality of each piece.     The LSF is a great concept and indeed no one can argue tht the representation of these characters would be more justified in a larger scale…..since details can be meticulously done…..but pls bear in mind tht not all of us might have the room or bank account to accomodate a LSF…..as much as we would love 2…..so in consideration of tht…..pls SSc some CQ and MQ…..just remember SSC rocks !!

    It’s my understanding that there will be no new pre-sales until after Comic-con. Look for new stuff starting on the 25th (Monday) thru the 29th. Hope they throw us a hint Sunday night? I hate this random crap. Does sideshow want to promote us losing our jobs as we constantly have to check the website on company time to see what “might” be released? If we lose our jobs we can’t pay for your products, Sideshow! I say just announce what & when already!

    @ Raven, same goes for the extendable legs for IG-88. I don’t see any photos in which the legs are fully extended. I’m curious to see how tall IG-88 actually is. The dimensions says 14.5″ but I’d still like to see that in a photo.

    I tend to agree with Jeremy (spoke in) sorry, couldn’t resist. Anyways, this year has been epic as far as the reveal and mixed bag portion of the show. The only thing that worries me a tad is what the price point will be on the Legendary figs (yikes). Only one major complaint… we need to be notified, either via production blog or newsletter, when the next pre-orders will be available. Gracias Sideshow; keep up the good work and help with the info ;)

    Hey Ryan G, it’s funny to have read that, because I was just thinking the exact opposite about this year, that it’s extra outstanding overall. My favorite goodies are 1:6 figures, so that makes it extra exciting what they’re showcasing right now, but it’s all pretty great and really varied for the most part between major licenses. I hope they have more goodies to debut that will be up your personal alley, and I figure there’s more to come in a few months with the Spooktacular concentration of releases, too. Fun stuff!
    Though I’ll never be truly happy till they finish out the 12″ Fellowship someday…weep, weep….

    Every year since 2005 we’ve had a new 1/6 The Dead figure. This year I’m seeing nothing… so far. Did that series flatline? Come on it’s been almost 2 years since we’ve had a 1/6 zombie and I need some new blood and guts to get me through the rest of the summer!

    Maybe it’s just me, but I find this year’s offerings a little underwhelming. The Psylocke and Jessica Rabbit PFF’s are welcome, but the rest… I don’t know. I mean, a while back we were told a Shaak Ti PFF was coming, and I haven’t heard anymore about that. The product updates seem a little spotty to me as well. Did Sideshow suspend the newsletter last year to? I’d like to see a Mara Jade PFF to, but I don’t it’s gonna happen. Maybe that a good thing, though. SS is really pushing the cheesecake this year, and Mara Jade really isn’t a cheesecake-type. How does a Savage Land Rogue sound, though? Something based on the back cover of Giant Sized Uncanny X-Men #275. Just a thought.

    Ordered the Avatar figure. Quite expensive but hopefully well worth it. I’m sure it’ll look better once in my hands. Don’t see any previews for tomorrow’s products. Can’t wait for Boba Fett and Grievous. Hope they’re as outstanding in detail as the IG-88 seems to be. This year is by far the best for Star Wars!

    The Hot Toys Boba-Fett is going to be ridiculous! I’ve been waiting for this version for a long time, I didn’t want to go with the Medicom version, it looked a little to Hasbro. This is going to be an awesome edition to any Star Wars Collector’s display case. I can’t wait to see the Bespin Luke. I don’t smoke, drink or do drugs, but I definitely do Sideshow Collectibles. I need more money to support my addiction!

    Edward, not sure why you would want to hang onto the Hasbro Fett regardless. Might as well try and get a couple bucks for it on Ebay or send it over to Goodwill for some kid to enjoy :) Like the video says, they hope TESB Fett will be one of many. And you know Sideshow, once a cast has been made, they make plenty more to go (look at the clone troopers). That means a ROTJ Fett shouldn’t be too far behind and his dad Jango and who knows how many more :)

    Well, I see what looks to be a Star Wars blaster rifle and the correct colouring (that’s color with a “u” ’cause I’m Canadian, Eh!) for an IG-88. But if it is IG-88, the shoulder joint doesn’t look right…
    This looks too rounded, IG’s shoulders are more cylindrical and the side peg is shorter. Hmmmm. What can it be?

    I’ve been reading on some other sites that the cobra characters have more of an appealing flavor/ style than the Joes. I think SC should now concentrate on some specialized environment Joes…such as wetsuit, frostbite, blowtorch, alpine, even Sci-fi. Bazooka would be nice too. I think the cobra figures look cool, b/c their uniforms stand out more. Ex. There is no mistaking Zartan, firefly, tomax/xamat, cobra eel, serpentor, destro, or storm shadow. These characters I just mentioned look so unique that they look like they could only belong to one army…COBRA. ONE MORE THING: Please release a few of the women from the GI Joe universe: Baroness, Scarlet, lady jay, and even jinx. Other than those points, I’m enjoying this GI Joe series. I can not wait to receive both Zartan and Rock -N-Roll exclusives. Keep them coming.

    Here we go…now things are picking up again. FINALLY Zartan is here. He looks great. I also like the items that he comes with. SC was sneaky with us…I did not know they were releasing Rock-N-Roll too. That was a pleasant surprise, so I had to order both exclusives. Thank you so much for releasing both Joes.
    BTW-I received my PF Exclusive Darth Maul w/ cyborg legs and I love him. The details and the NEW AND IMPROVED light-up technology for the light saber is the best. The light saber’s light actually is brighter and looks so real.

    GV72:the 20th through the 24th have different backrounds because thoughs are the days of the San Diego Comic-Con. I’m guessing that that is when they will announce their best upcoming products because someone will eventually record the sideshow booth at the event and leak the news on the internet. I’m hoping a new 1/4 Wolverine (in his brown costume) will appear, but then again Sideshow is already coming out with too many cool things: I hope I can keep up. Sideshow with DC is a dream come true.

    So ive been waiting for either a bumble bee or megatron maquette to go with my optimus but now optimus is shipping in august. We’re almost half-way through with the announcements for this year’s SDCC event and I’m patiently waiting for the IG-88 and Boba Fett previews. Didn’t know the Battle Droid was in-work but we all knew IG-88 and Boba were in the works some time ago.     VERY cool departure from the standard clones! I’m selective about which Star Wars 12″ I get, but this and Cody and Bly are definites! I wonder what the exclusive will be, probably just another special base to stand on, which is probably pretty great for folks who are collecting them all.

    Forget about a switch-out right arm with shield, or helmeted head for Boromir. This maquette is scene specific and those item’s [shield and helm] were not a part of that scene or any other that involved Boromir at Osgiliath. What SS needs to do is add a 2nd, mouth-closed headsculpt. THAT, would go perfectly with the ‘sword down’ switch-out arm. It would also more closely match the conceptual art this maquette is based on in the 1st place.

    Ok, now another C-3PO Life Size Bust and a “special edition” but what is so special about it? so far I’m puzzled and hope some of you have more info or an idea about it as I would love one C-3PO Life Size Bust but which one now? As such seems to me the normal edition gets a moving head and a restraining bolt extra for the same price. All the rest look the same including the base and plaque so what’s the catch of the “special edition”?

    Oh and if you are going to redo any life size busts then please redo the hulk!!! Thor and now Cap look awesome and I’m guessing an Iron Man can’t be too far away so to have a Hulk that says he is life size but is considerably smaller than those characters (even Wolverine) I mean, really?! and an updated look and not the ’60′s look would be nice too. and while we are on the subject of life size busts it would be awesome to see the following Deadpool, Nightcrawler, Juggernaut, Iceman, Cable, Thing, Hawkeye, Sabretooth, Gambit, Beast, Dr. Doom, Namor and for the DC guys start with Superman and Doomsday, Batman and Joker and Green Lantern and Sinestro

    Star Wars —- all bounty hunters from episode V…. Max Rebo and the band, Cantina Aliens, more Jedi (to finish the counsil).

    Marvel —- dr. strange PF, dr. Octopus with metallic arms PF, Spider-man with original costume.
