Han Solo in Carbonite - Life Size Figure - Coming after Comic-Con 2011 to SideshowCollectibles.com Han Solo in Carbonite - Life Size Figure - Coming after Comic-Con 2011 to SideshowCollectibles.com
  1. Mike Honcho says:

    Now to convince the wife.

  2. Darth Nutz says:

I can not wait for this item any ETA?

  3. Jessel B. says:

Will you get a partial refund if this falls on you accidentally and Han escapes?

  4. Curt Fuehr says:

    Is there a rough ETA?

  5. Tom says:

I have an original from the 1990′s.

  6. Aaron Lane says:

I own one of the Illusive Originals/Concepts Han Solo Carbonite and I will be one of the first to buy this deluxe version!

  7. Ogbutch says:

Hopefully this will have the illuminated detailed side panels. The burn out feature available in the 1/4 scale would also be a cool addition.

  8. Mike says:

I already have an Illusive originals/Concepts full size han in carbonite with the plaque signed by Mario Chiodo that I’m good with. This new one is nice but it will be too expensive.

  9. JK says:

Relax! You still got time to sell your kidneys before this thing hits the streets…or maybe, it’s time for some of you to get that third job.

  10. Paul k says:

FYI…only the face is Harrison Ford. The actor who played Bossk was used for the body in the actual prop and I’m sure this replica as well.

  11. KMB says:

It looks amazing. Will look great with the Life Size Boba Fett. But will probably have to make due with the 12 inch Boba Fett amd Premium Format Han Solo In Carbonite instead. I know this one is going to be around $5,000 as well the Boba Fett. Only millions or overspenders can afford the nice collectibles.

  12. Vincent Lee says:

wow this looks great, looks like i need to start clearing some space in my display for this

  13. Joe G says:

If one were to pay with the $25 per month flexpay plan would one get it before one DIES???

  14. Mr. T says:

Republic Credits??? I’ve still got a ton of those stupid Jedi Master Points. Sideshow should honor those, since Hasbro didn’t

  15. Eli says:

Will you take republic credits? I have a bunch of those.

  16. Jon says:

This actually looks good. I’ll probably be buying one.

  17. Dave Campbell says:

    awsome!!!!!!!

  18. Linda E. says:

I have one of those. I bought it from paper magic company over 10 years ago. I have the lifesize pepsi Darth Maul also. It will be interesting to see what this goes for.

  19. Daniel says:

Next up is me encased within a carbonite coffin, because I’m surely going to have a heart attack and die when the price for this thing is revealed.

Oh man, if there was ever a need for Flexpay…

  20. EF says:

Im sure one of those buttons will release han solo!!! And we can replace by putting in the wifey? >:p

  21. Voodoomunk says:

This would be an exciting piece to have however it must be at least $5K.

  22. Liz says:

Wow, thats all I can say is Wow!!! & I want one

  23. Ted says:

    It’s a trap!!

  24. Zia haq says:

Sideshow (anyone) please email when released

  25. obikevinobi says:

didn`t they already break my heart by producing this in a cost prohibitive small run in the late 90`s!! I love it and hate it for the same reasons.

  26. Philippe says:

That’s what you can call a preview… can’t stop pre-viewing it month after month :-)

  27. C. K. says:

A price point would be useful.

  28. Leland says:

Anyone else really getting fed up with, A: Looking at the same pic? B: Not knowing anything about this? C: This waiting game. Really Sideshow, I think the anticipation has warn a wee bit thin.

  29. kevin says:

Ok, so 2012 is finally here. Yippee? Anyhoo, will this be available in 2012? If so, can the release date be narrowed down? Anything please!!!!!!!!

  30. Tom A says:

Please release more details on the life-size carbonite display! Availability, dimensions, weight, cost.

  31. kevin says:

Come on, a bit more news would be greatly appreciated. Approx release date, cost, amount made etc

  32. Leland says:

I REALLY wish that Sideshow would just pull the bandaid off and tell us the price on this! I’ve been holding off and letting others pass by because of this, could have gotton a good deal on others. PLEASE Sideshow, just count to three and give us a price!

  33. DannyBoy says:

Truly wicked Sideshow! Just remember that this piece is not made of metal and has no moveable parts and does not weigh a ton like the life size Terminator Ver. 2.0 so try to keep the price tag much lower than the Terminator.$3000 sounds like a reasonable price for this piece. If it’s in that area, I am so in!!!

  34. J. says:

Next up is a George Lucas in Carbonite!!

  35. Antwayne says:

I’m wondering if theirs is made from a scan of the prop or pulled from the original mold (like my Illusive Concepts Carbonite). I would love to upgrade, but based on how inaccurate their Premium Format looks, I’m wondering if this preview photo is really their product.

  36. Neil says:

I feel like i just lost my soul…:-p

  37. Raven says:

I have a feeling this is going to be pricey

  38. Jediwannabe says:

    I am so in!

  39. Nelly says:

Looks very nice. I want to see what you do with the control panels though…they are the difficult bit to get right

  40. Chief.Chirpa says:

    Good job Sideshow!
    Can’t wait for this!

  41. John Hamilton says:

So when will this be available to order and how much will it cost?

  42. SirStevesGuide.com says:

I have a bad feeling about this… a bad feeling of going into debt after purchasing this!

  43. Xeno says:

This is going to look awesome as my bar top!!!

  44. Mikael Becker says:

I am going to make this a push door into my bedroom!

  45. Matt says:

I’m pretty sure I’m about to go broke. I hope you’re happy with yourself Sideshow.

  46. Darth Impulsive says:

    Wow, that is truly sweet!!!

  47. Corey groom says:

Ummm I said yes but the wife over ruled me and said no…. Frankly I’d be afraid of the shipping cost

  48. Daniel says:

You see the difference, Sideshow crew? Unlike the PFF mess that you constructed with too much rippled carbonite effect. It’s a damn shame you couldn’t put the right quantity of detail on the more affordable piece. But this is the way it should be. Exacting detail to it’s appearance in the film. I could never buy it, nor store it, but I am fully glad you pushed yourselves with this piece. Proof that you have the goods in head and hand, and further practice for the next big one. Which I will always be looking out for. Congrats.

  49. Paul J says:

Why must you tempt me like this SideShow.

  50. paul says:

I already have a space picked out for this one but I’m still trying to figure out the best way to display my Star Wars life size busts? Right now i have them lined up against the wall in an empty bedroom.

  51. je82 says:

Wonder how he will be delivered…hope they have a couple of Slave1′s ready ;-)

  52. Philippe says:

Do we need a nail to hang it on the wall or does it levitate? :-) Well as most I would love to buy one of those but no way I can ship this to Asia, pay the import fees and still pay my daughter’s schooling fee. I’ll go for the PF. Way cool Sideshow, amazing what you can do.

  53. Emmabelle says:

I can only dream! I have always said I wanted one but highly doubt the cost and cost of shipping Aust will be in my reach :(

  54. Jay M. says:

What good is a life-size Han Solo in Carbonite without a life-size Boba Fett to guard him? Does this mean we can look forward to Sideshow one-upping Don Post’s awesome but long gone life-size statue?

  55. DJB says:

I wanna put a glass surface over the top, and I want to make THAT my coffee table.

  56. Aidy says:

This will be a day long remembered – and it’ll remind me how skint I am. Looks the biz tho. :)

  57. luis says:

this is amazing… if R2 and 3PO were $5500 to $6000… this has no movable parts, but lights and details likely in the $6500 price range… still want it

  58. JeffDJ says:

Wow, awesome! Back in the day, I so wanted that other life-size carbonite replica, and now here it is again looking even better! But I think my heart just skipped a beat just wondering how much this sucker is going to be.

  59. Sir Tristram says:

    HANSICLE!!! FINALLY!!!!

  60. darthverbo says:

Holy Cow! This is incredible! Can’t imagine price tag. This blows Illusive Concept one away. I had a chance to get that IC one when it came out $750 shipped brand new and I passed because I was in school. If this one is $2000 Ill buy. Maybe payment plan.

  61. NegaZeeMan says:

It would make a cool coffee table ;p

  62. mm says:

Will the panels have a light up feature?

  63. Velvet Jones says:

That is going right in front of my toilet! Mom will be scared to death!

  64. andre says:

Okay. Sure. You guys give me ‘at least’ a partial trade-in credit for my Illusive Concepts one and I’ll bite.

  65. paul says:

This is the item that shot up to the top of my list! I’m really glad you have flexpay

  66. Carol Gilbert says:

::drool:: Thde Illusive Concepts has always been my Holy Grail item… I know I won’t be able to afford this. They should make the Flex Pay over 25 payments for this! It’ll probably take them 2 years to produce it anyways

  67. Jim says:

I feared this day would come. I’m a proud owner of the Illusive Concepts Han in Carbonite from way back when. I always knew Sideshow would eventually make one, and that it would probably have side panel electronics and my Han would pale by comparison. That day has probably come. :(

  68. MisterPL says:

I had the chance to own one of these back when Illusive Collectibles held the license. The challenge wasn’t producing them so much as shipping them. As I recall the crates were about 8″ too long to ship via any standard carrier so they had to pay extra for a special shipping company just to get these to collectors. I know shipping costs have only gone up since then so I hope Sideshow has found a way around this.

  69. David S says:

Would love to have this piece in my museum. Alas I cannot afford it most likely. If SideShow wants to send one my way I would take it.

  70. Brack Lee says:

Glad to see that one’s not all tin foil crinkled like the PF.

  71. Ryan says:

Pfffft…I wish. Who ever gets one will be one lucky collector!

  72. John White says:

Any chance of this coming up as a contest item LOL Sure would love one but without selling a kydney I dont see a way to afford it :<

  73. Madden says:

Now this would be a great centerpiece of my collection… if I was rich. :(

  74. Cpl says:

I cannot imagine how much this is going to cost!

  75. Tony Mills says:

Looks totally amazing like many i would love to own this but lack of space and funds means i will have to make do with the 1/4 scale i have on pre-order…

  76. Ken says:

Wow! I can’t imagine anything cooler. Any guesses on the price? I’d shell out a grand for this no problem, but I’m guessing the price will be closer to $5K. :(

  77. Punkg42 says:

This would look awesome in my SW room. However there is no room for it. haha

  78. sam b says:

Unbelievable! You’ve done it again, Sideshow. I’ve waited a long time for this…

  79. tomandshell says:

    With authentic thaw feature!

    ***One time use only!***

  80. Dave Jones says:

Nice. too bad they won’t have the life sized carbon frozen gungan, that would be sweet.

  81. Sam says:

    Amazing.

  82. LordAykroyd says:

Most anticipated product EVER! Can not wait to see the details!!! 100% BOUGHT

  83. Kyle W. says:

I am speechless…and unfortunately will never afford this…
