Welcome, one and all, to the horrifically entertaining Sideshow Collectibles Spooktacular 2011 Scavenger Hunt! Are you ready to search up, down, and all around for spooky words posted daily on SideshowCollectibles.com?

How to Participate

Starting on Monday, October 24th, 2011, Scavenger Hunt words and clues to find words will be posted daily, somewhere within our Spooktacular content (in the Mistress of the Web fortunes, within Mort comic panels, on product pages, hints through our news posts, etc). Ghosts have taken over Sideshow's servers and there's no telling when or where these words & hints will pop up, so be on the lookout everywhere!

There is a catch (of course!): Not ALL secret words that you uncover during Spooktacular 2011 will be Scavenger Hunt words. You MUST check each word in our 'Promo Word Lookup', which is located on the upper-right side of all our Spooktacular pages, including this one. Read all the given instructions once you've entered the word! If it is a Scavenger Hunt word, it will be designated as such.

Keep very good track of all the Scavenger Hunt words you find, in the order that the clues were given - you will need all of them ALL to complete the Hunt successfully!

The last word will be posted sometime on Halloween (Monday, October 31st, 2011). Once you find the correct final word (#20), return to this page and enter all 20 words in the form in any order. (The form will appear below sometime on Halloween). After submitting all twenty CORRECT words (watching your spelling, capitalization & addition of un-needed spaces), you will be required to answer a SideshowCollectibles.com trivia challenge questions as quickly as possible, and you're done!

The first person to successfully complete the Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt will win his/her choice of ONE of the following as a Grand Prize:

The Grand Prize winner will be announced on the this page on Tuesday, November 1st, 2011, after we review the time stamps of the entries.

Helpful Hints:

  • Once posted, the words will remain available to find - if you look hard enough - until the close of the contest at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on October 31st, 2011. (So don't panic if you get a late start!)
  • If you think you've found a word, enter it in the 'Promo Word Lookup' at the top right of any Spooktacular page. Even if it's incorrect, at least you'll know to keep looking!
  • Some of the words will be very challenging to find. KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED! Read every Mort comic strip, check the Mistress of the Web fortunes at least once every 24 hours (making sure you've seen EVERY fortune each day), keep an eye on the news posts, etc.

If don't think you entered in time for a shot at the Grand Prize, DO NOT DESPAIR! Runner-Up winners will be also be chosen randomly from all CORRECT entries received before 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on October 31st, 2010. These Runners-Up will win cool mystery prizes to be determined by the Sideshow Web Team at the close of the contest. The Runners-Up winners and prizes will be announced on Tuesday, November 1st.

    Ok so what the cutoff time for submissions. On the page here it says 1159 pm pacific on the 31st and on the worksheet for the hunt it says 1pm pacific on the 31st. Which is correct?
