Sideshow Collectibles Announce New License - Reservoir Dogs

Sideshow Goes To Work On Colorful Characters

Thousand Oaks, California (December, 2007) - Sideshow Collectibles, world leader in the manufacturing of licensed and proprietary product, announces the acquisition of a new license for the cult classic film Reservoir Dogs. The 1992 Lionsgate release is the feature film debut of writer/director Quentin Tarantino and quickly garnered a following for the stylized cinematography that has become one of Tarantino's hallmarks. Sideshow's license includes rights to create Vinyl Collectible Dolls, 12-inch figures, Premium Format figures, Dioramas, polystone Statues and Busts.

Mob boss Joe Cabot assembles a team of criminals to perform a job, giving each of them a color-coded name to keep the diamond heist professional and anonymous. When police arrive at the precise time and location of the burglary, several people are caught in the crossfire, including Mr. Brown and Mr. Orange. When the remaining team members arrive at the rendezvous point, the group supposes that an undercover police informant is in their midst.

  1. Jon says:

Great… Now I have to make room for these guys!! Could I get a Marvin Nash with a slashed face and cut-off ear?

  2. armando says:

    mr. pink

  3. Mr. School Bus Yellow says:

How about one single PF with many different interchangeable heads, removeable shades, and an adjustable inflation device driven by a small air compressor with a power cord to adjust their body types? All bases would therefore be covered. They pretty much all sport the same snappy duds in the flick. ;)

  4. MesaScott says:

I’d give my right ear for a resevoir dogs 12″ figure.

  5. hostelmovies says:

A premium Format of Mr. Blond with the glasses and sodaanyone? Maybe diorama of the table scene.

Please don’t drown us with 12 inch figures of everyone. They have been done.

You should have gotten Pulp Fiction, Death Proof, or Kill Bill.None of the that stuff has been done.

  6. Madtitan7 says:

Sounds awesome…you can’t go wrong with more Dog’s on the shelf. After recently purchasing the 15″ Chucky, I’ve got full faith you dudes could pull it off.
And the roundtable discussion diorama scene is a brilliant idea, whoever it was that said that.

    Here’s hoping for Pulp, next.

  7. CN says:

    WOW… I just got a Stiffy!

  8. Richard says:

This is one of the best license announcements from Sideshow! I really can’t wait to see what you guys do with this line! I will buy up just about everything you guys put out from this license. I hope it leads to more licenses from other Quentin Tarantino movies like: Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Grindhouse, & even Jackie Brown!! There is a lot of money to be made out there from these films so hopefully Sideshow will realize this. Could you imagine a Premium Format Bride Figure in her iconic Yellow Leather outfit from Kill Bill, or Uma & John Travolta Figures from Pulp Fiction!! Or as someone else already stated a Cherry Premium Format Figure w/ interchangeable legs! A Stuntman Mike & Dakota figure from Grindhouse would be amazing as well, Please Sideshow don’t let the fans down!!!

  9. Elena says:

That is terrific news! My life will not be complete without Harvey Keitel on my shelf. Really glad to hear about this one!

  10. cher36d says:

way to go cant wait to see..hopefully we can have pulp fiction next then grindhouse love to see cherry with remove able leg…..

  11. Steven S. says:

Good point. I would hope that Eddie Bunker will have a 12″ representation as Mr. Blue.
Another overlooked character would be the cop that was training Tim Roth for undercover work.

  12. tommy m says:

Any idea if there’s going to be a Mr. Blue figure or statue?

  13. Steven S. says:

    Sideshow…You Magnificent Bastards!
Coming up with yet another way to heist my cash!
Sending Mr. Pink over to pick up the bag! What a plan! You must be professionals.

  14. Joshua Leisner says:

oh please, oh please let there be scene-specific dioramas! The Diner Roundtable scene, The 4-way shootout at the end, the cop torture scene…I LOVE it!

  15. Chad Beacon says:

YOu gonna bark all day little doggy…or are you gonna bite?

  16. Jesse says:

Been waiting for the announcement for a year since I first heard about it!!! It’s about time. “You shoot me in a dream, you better wake up and apologize.” I can’t wait! Thanks Sideshow!

  17. SideshowCollector says:

The license for this lineup is so extensive, I can’t wait to see the wide range of awesome Sideshow Collectibles.

  18. PPK says:

Great news!!! I’m so glad you’re doing something with a more adult theme(enough with children’s sci-fi fantasy figures).I also would love to see Travolta and Jackson from Pulp Fiction…not to mention Bruce Willis,Uma,Ving,Harvey as Mr. Wolf etc. Sideshow would be the first to do a Pulp Fiction line. That would be very exciting indeed!!!

  19. Bricrue says:

I love hearing about new licenses, but I always worry about what this will do to the old ones. Seems like something like this happens and we see one product from a license appear and never see anything else. They came out with a darkman statue but I’m doubting I’ll ever see the 12″ version of him.

  20. Weave says:

I agree companies are just rehashing everyone else’s ideas. So are you guys done with James Bond??????? What about Craig, Goldfinger, Blofeld, Nick Nack, other Bond girls, M,Ian Fleming himself, Moneypenny.

  21. jorel says:

thats means more movie options for collectables

  22. AnakinSkywalker says:

“You kids shouldn’t play so rough.
    Somebody’s gonna start cryin’.”

  23. DeZ says:

Hmmm… I was really hoping for something more along the lines of Battlestar Galactica or Doctor Who to be announced. I really can’t see spending 65 dollars apiece for a bunch of guys in identical suits, even if Reservoir Dogs was a great film. The accessories would have to be pretty spectacular. Mezco did some a few years back with horrible likenesses, but the accessories were unparalleled. The Cop from the infamous “ear scene” even came with the chair and a removable ear. I strongly urge you guys to look at the other companies that have handled this property and build on what they did well, and avoid the mistakes they made, otherwise what’s the point?

  24. TheGodfather says:

    Yes!!!!!!Reservoir Dogs!!!!!!!

  25. arnax nimrod says:

A Steve Buschemi (spelling) figure!!! A Tim Roth figure!!!
A HARVEY KEITEL(spelling)!!! WOW OH WOW AWESOME!!!!

  26. shawn D. says:

AWESOME!!! I hope this opens the way for Pulp Fiction and Grindhouse!

  27. Karloski says:

I’m dreaming of a ‘Mister White’ Christmas!

  28. Mo says:

Woot! Resevoir Dogs!!! Awesome, I’ll tale a Mr. Pink! Sideshow rules!!! Merry X-MAs!

  29. SideShowMeYours says:

Was that as good for you as it was for me?
