  1. Justin Stastny says:

I Just Hope JP IV Will come out. Michael Criton(Sp) died and they did not fin the video. I Just hope it ztill comez out. I Am A Huge Fanatic Of JURASSIC PARK!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Dozer says:

All I can say is “Barbasol”.

Why do people have a problem with licenses that have a cult following? It’s not all about what’s new and what’s now. Things like Back to the Future, Bill & Ted, Star Trek, Buffy, Blade Runner, Karate Kid… they all have cult followings, but they’re decades old. It shouldn’t matter if something’s new or “now”. Why can’t things have staying power?

  3. Will says:

i love jurassic park I was like such a die hardout fan when I was younger!! bring the raptors but of course can’t forget our friend the T-Rex!! I just so can’t wait as I have always been the first person in my country (New Zealand) to see it the day before it hit the movies the next day!! I so fricken can’t wait!! bring on JP4!! hey anyone know if the title is JP4 the excition??

  4. ben says:

i dont see anything but the t rex toar and the logo???????

  5. Omar Guillen says:

MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! I SHALL OWN THEM ALL JURASSIC PARK IS MY FAVORITE FILM ,ITS THE REASON IM BECOMING A FILMAKER TO MAKE ONE SOME DAY , GOD I WANT A HUGE REX AND RAPTORS ANS A SPINO FIGTHING A REX AND SOME CHARACTERS FIGURES AND THE EXPLORER SCENE AND THE REX CHASING THE JEEP AND THE 2 REXES ATTACKING THE MERCEDEZ

  6. John says:

Sideshow I got to tell you – super decission on this license
I have been waitiong for this a long time – this really was a huge, nice pleasant surprise for the new year
Everybody seems that they want a T-Rex – I agree
but (Sideshow) people don’t forget about the Raptors
more statues with all the different raptors – awesome
But than again I’m pretty sure Sideshow will shock us with some deliciuos statues – Sideshow I know you will not make this statues great, but beyond the greatest and beyond our expectations, looking forward

  7. Anonymous says:

for that this dind’t know jurassice park 4 2008 in mouth?

  8. james says:

It’s about time, i love jurassic park it is by far my most favorite movie of all time I have seen it more times than I can count it paved the way for special effects in movies and it still is to this day an amazing movie. I can even comprehend what these figures will look like sideshow does a great job on there line.

  9. Mr. School Bus Yellow says:

I don’t really care much that it’s Jurrasic Park. I just wants me a friggin’ ravenously behemothic T-Rex! It would please me very much.
…and please, would it be too much to ax to leave off the nameplate, or make it removable if there is one? Thank you for your time. Have a great day.

  10. Isma says:

    GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAT
    FANNNNNNTASSSSSSSSSSSSTIC!!!

    THANKS GOOOODDD ….
    SIDESHOW ROCKS!

  11. jei says:

wonder what John Hammond will say about this…

  12. Vujovic says:

Finally, the movie I grew up on, properly merchandised! Will definitely be buying something!

  13. jedistarkiller says:

Yes! I just watched Jp the other night and it was as good as ever. The first is an awesome film and going to be if not already another cult classic. The 2 sequels are good films in there own rights, it’s a strong trilogy and a great franchise. Thank god SS went with the smart choice as there are a lot of dino and JP fans that have been waiting for this, such as myself!!

  14. SPECTER says:

this is good news now we can get some good scale JP stuff. I want Dr. Grant

  15. timothee91 says:

Wow! This is truly exciting! Sure hope there are a couple environments/dioramas from the tour – the front gate to the park, the cars waiting at the t-rex cage, even the hatching raptor in the incubator. And the main building w/ the cool front door! Must have that too! And of course the endless dino possibilities… Way to go on this license!!! And for the warning to start saving up now!

  16. Robb says:

I am breathless with anticipation. This promises to be very cool!

  17. astro666 says:

Cool, looking forward to seeing what you guys will put out. Imagine a diorama of the dude hiding in the toilet right before the t-rex chomps him, LOL. The original is one of my all time favorite movies, so I am glad a great company will be making what I am sure will be some great products. I would like to see some 12″ figs for the JP line but don’t know if they would be to interesting to alot of collectors. Please make a 1/6th raptor though, pretty please, maybe even 2,3 or 4 of them. Some 12″ figs for Lost Boys and Firefly would be awesome too. I really hope they don’t use the hybrid dino/human idea for the 4th movie, that would kill it for me.

  18. andre says:

    Tea. Leoni. Premium. Format. Figure.

Seriously, Jurassic Park? Have you seen it lately? Not aging particularly well as a franchise ’cause it was more effects than anything, and nowadays those effects seem kinda quant.

And dinosaurs? Who hasn’t done dinosaurs? Oh, wait. These are over-priced, Stan Winston Brand Dinosaurs!

Oh well, I eagerly await the Laura Dern, Julianne Moore, and Arianna Richards 12″ figures.

  19. Alvaro Rex says:

Since Spain:I`ve waited for that moment for years. To see a nice jurassic park`s toy collection it`s a dream come true.
I would like were maked the human caracters too like Grant,Malcolm,Ellie,Hammond,Sarah,Nedry or the kids.

  20. Marcus says:

Hope we get Michal Crichton and Jeff Goldblum Figures!!!

  21. john says:

Please make a robert muldoon vs the raptor model

  22. edison says:

    Hey Guys!

I’ve read many posts about Sideshow JP at Statueforum and people seem to want a 1\5 scale T-rex, but I have to say that as exciting as it might be, I would prefer something a bit smaller and that doesn’t cost $1000 plus. I would galdly purchase a 1\6, 1\7 scale or as big as they can get for about 600 bucks.

    Edison

  23. tom says:

AMAZING SO GLAD SIDESHOW HAS THIS LICENSE FINALLY AS U BLEW ME AWAY WITH YOUR ALIEN/S/3 DIORAMAS!

  24. Minnesota Jones says:

Great. Between Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Fly (I & II), and now this, is it Sideshow’s mission to force me into bankrupcy? Well, if your JP items are on par with everything else, I may have to file Chapter 11 now… ha!

Well done Sideshow! Can’t wait to see what you have cooking on this license!

  25. Anonymous says:

wooooha!this is a a very cool license indeed!if not purely out of nostalgic reasons. diorama’s would be nice but big statues all the way!
I wonder from time to time why there weren’t any jp statues before. I mean, we have seen thousands of predator/ alien statues while a t-rex is just as badass!!
I don’t have much expensive sideshow statues but this is definitly going to be an exception, if not purely for nostalgic reasons. :)

  26. Razzie Mbessai says:

Bring on the pwnage! The JP toys are awesome, now it’s nice to see some collectible figures to go with them. Hopefully these will be available in the UK!

  27. Penguin says:

I don’t care about Jurassic Park in any form, but I’m sure you’ll make it worth looking for.

But now I am DEAF from the LOUD FLASH.

  28. Ivo Grasso says:

Great news! Sideshow, truly consider hiring a Mr. David Krenz to sculpt these fantastic creatures, as Mr. Krentz has no equal in depicting these animals. And he is based in California(!), a match made in heaven! And yes, he has mucho experience in the craft, & will truly amaze all.

  29. Andrew says:

I love dinosaurs, and I… enjoyed the films; but the ONLY way I am going to jump on THIS band wagon, is if SS takes a queue from Hot Toys, and makes the T-Rex and some others POSABLE, with internal armiture rubber skin- like the 1:6 alien warrior, for example. Half (well, more than half) the fun of owning a JP dino would be the ability to change the pose, and have the various pieces ‘interact’ on the shelf. I’m not big on static premium format, macquettes, busts, etc… Give me a rubber-skin T-REX that I can move- open the jaws, bend the tail, move the legs… and I’m SOOO there. Not only would they be fantastic fun, with great detail I’m sure- they would also be a tip-of-the-hat to Ray Harryhausen’s animation models- remember that guy who inspired Spielberg to make the films in the first place? I know it sounds like I’m wishing for a lot, but hey- Hot Toys did a great job with the Alien’s rubber skin…

  30. Chantelle says:

MAKE MORE SPINOS! i dont care what u people think spinosaurus is coolllllllllllll

  31. jedistarkiller says:

I’ll buy anything from SS with the JP name on it. Give me a 1:2 T-Rex or Raptor bust, give me a 1:5 T-Rex maquette, mini busts, fossils, prop replicas, heck I’d even consider an Alan Grant, Dr. Malcolm, Hammond, Sattler, Muldoon, Nedry or any of the other great, lovable characters from the movies.

  32. Anonymous says:

  33. P!tu says:

Very bad choice IMO. I think GG would do a better job anyway
    Shizzz-crackkk a lackkin!!

  34. Robotpo says:

PS- Ignore the naysayers, they know not of whence they speak. Bring on more JP stuff!!

  35. Robotpo says:

This is awesome! JP rocks! And hopefully, so will this line. ;)

Can we expect things from all three movies, or just the first? In any case, thanks SS! ;)

  36. Ken Benobi says:

Very cool! Curious to see what products they are going to make…

  37. JV says:

Awesome! Speechless Awesomeness! I cannot wait to see what SS has in-store for us collectible consumers. However, I have one request…please OH please try to get a lisence to
Pulp Fiction. My wallet would explode if you could!
    SO. SS, TRY DAMMIT TRY!!

  38. jedistarkiller says:

Maquettes, Premium Formats, Legendary Scaled busts, mini busts, 12′ figures, 1:1 busts….my god the possibilities for this line are endless plus JP is such a classic…my god I am in heaven.

  39. nyctoyman says:

I still think this license is lame. They should make more “Six Gun Legends” figures, or a John Wayne as “Rooster Cogburn” 12″ figure.

  40. Denryanj says:

Whether you are thrilled or indifferent to the Jurassic Park line, it seems clear that Universal and Sideshow have quite a nice relationship going. Can lines for Back To The Future and Jaws be far behind?

  41. Roy D. says:

This is awesome! I would love to see a diorama of the T-rex being attacked by a pack of velociraptors! I’m definitely looking forward to see what Sideshow has up their sleeves with this one.

  42. tony says:

tasty choice… but these have to be really big or they will look small next to all my other figures

  43. Neil says:

    jurassic park .. cool ;-)

  44. HAPPYBOY says:

Oh yeah!! It’s historic…no..make that pre-historic. It’s Dino-mite! It’s awesome in every way. Jurassic Park is coming at us collectors in a whole new fashion, and sure to please. What an awesome way to start off 2008, with Sideshow and a HUGE new license to get the ball rolling. Way to go Sideshow gang, I look forward to following you into the jungle and seeing what creatures and comforts we may find. Way to roar folks!!

  45. TheKev316 says:

Thank you sideshow, thank you very much.

    Kevin

  46. Daniel G. says:

alli can say is YYYYYYAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!. JP is one of the first movies i remember seeing as a kid. This is GREAT news for me, looks like ill be purchasing more from you guys this year, usally just star wars stuff, this year its star wars, JP, and Mr. Pink, Oange, Yellow, i think you get the idea.

  47. sideshowfreak says:

    SIDESHOW I HAVE TO HAVE A 1:1 SCALE T-REX PLEASE!!!!!! :)

  48. Anonymous says:

    SIDESHOW I HAVE TO HAVE A 1:1 SCALE T-REX PLEASE!!!!!! :)

  49. LegendsOfBatman says:

Didn’t the JP license run its course?

Robb B.: Yes, JP4 was supposed to feature soldiers that were genetically crossed dinosaur and human. IMDB attributes this idea to John Sayles, who worked on Spiderwick Chronicles screenplay, and directed the Bruce Springsteen videos Born in the USA, Glory Days, and I’m on Fire; amongst a lot of other stuff, some of which was freaky stuff, including writing for the Howling, and Clan of Cave Bear.
Hopefully that plot got turned down, as it sounds too silly to pull off.

  50. ken sylvester says:

Jurrasic Park? Kind of past tense, even for collectors I think.
The 3 new license announcements are weak and boring. Universal Monster dioramas?; SS already has that license!——-Quit pulling OLD stuff out of a hat, and stick with newer licenses like the Iron Man movie, add more PF music licenses (Iron Maiden’s Eddie, anyone), not to mention THE HOBBIT, etc.—–
I’ll admit, a PF or maquette of Jurrasic’s T-Rex would be cool, but the rest? MORE NEW STUFF PLEASE, BASED ON CURRENT FILMS, MUSIC AND COMICS – is that so hard? ;-)

  51. Allosaurus says:

OMG, yes Ive been waiting so long for this!
I really the Rex is the same size as he was in The Lost World Toy line!!

  52. Chris says:

That is awesome! I cannot wait to see what’s made. That said, I have to save some money.

    :D

  53. Darth Kirk says:

    :O Whoa!

    WOOOOOOWHOOOOO!!! Thank You SS!! :-)

  54. jedistarkiller says:

    Finally!!!!!!

  55. Mate says:

I’m just hoping sideshow has some kind of charity foundation because if i spend all of my money i have to go to live on the street! This was something i was waiting for years! Hope a few statues gonna be made by the legendary Mr. Winston himself!

  56. SideshowCollector says:

This is really exciting, it’d be great to have a quality line of Jurassic Park collectibles and Sideshow are just the people to do it.

  57. LOTRfreak101 says:

YES! YES! YES! YES! Thank you sideshow!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  58. DarthVerbo says:

I saw the rain and hoped for Blade Runner!! Darn!
Congrats to all the happy Jurassic Fans. Should be a fun line.

  59. roguebaron says:

okay…well bring on the dinos…could be some cool diorama potential here…thanks ssc.

  60. Trilogy says:

    This is awesome news.
A truly great start to 2008.

  61. Tango says:

not that interested but I am sure it will be great.

WHEN WIL WE SEE SOME INDIANA JONES PRODUCT PICTURES?

PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSEEEE!!!!!!! CAN NOT WAIT ANY LONGER!

  62. Rick says:

How about the more charcter driven licenses that have taken a backseat or that have not been mentioned. Licenses that have cult followings and are loved by many of sideshowtoy.com enthusists?

Buffy & Angel – there are still so many charcters left to do… it faded without a word?
    Firefly/Serenity
    Heroes
    Lost Boys
    Underworld

Just a few sugesstions from someone who has ahouse full of sideshow items.

    Thanks.

  63. Avfin says:

Was wishing for GODZILLA but these guys will do. Be interesting to see the great work that Sideshow does.
    Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!!

  64. shawn D. says:

Sweet! Now I can save some money this year! Not sure there’s enough appeal in this line.

  65. SamandTom says:

cool, can’t say that I will go crazy over them, but my son will love them — more money…….great though, lets see some more movie stuff in the future

  66. Jay says:

This is great, I have always wanted my own Velociraptor. This is one of my all time favorite movies. I liked the sequels, but nothing beats seeing the original.

  67. Doe says:

My son will be so excited. Anything with dinosaurs and Jurrasic Park he loves. I wonder how my wallet will like all these new announcements?

  68. wookilar8 says:

This is an awesome way to celebrate Jurassic Park’s 15th year anniversary. Bring on the Maquettes!!

  69. nyctoyman says:

Ah man. Nobody bought these figures when the movies were popular. I mean, there has been dinosaur stuff floating around for years. Why would I want to buy a diorama of Sam Neil and two kids in a SUV? What a waste of a new license. Please give us “Firefly” figures!!!! But, I couldn’t be happier about the “Reservoir Dogs” figures!!! Happy new year Sideshow!

  70. pordster says:

Lovely, just lovely. What a great gift to us collectors to start the new year with!

  71. Revilal Vidyadharan says:

    Damn, thats cool…

  72. sabiansix says:

Maybe next we can get the GODZILLA remake Matthew Broderick…

  73. sabiansix says:

    seriously?

  74. Gumby says:

That’s just great! Like I’m not broke enough with LOTR and other licences…now Jurassic Park!

  75. dr2red says:

Interesting news, what exactly will you be making?
The dinosaurs, the people, Weird Al?

  76. PuzzleMaster5 says:

Wow, this should be one fun and exciting new year! Go Sideshow!!!!!

  77. JGordon24 says:

Oh…very nice! I can’t wait to see what you guys make first. Jurassic Park lives!

  78. Luis C. says:

OMG….bring on the 1:1 scale….lol…lets see maquettes and 1:6 scale fis and 1:4 PF!!!!!

  79. Blackhole says:

    YES!!!!

    Jurassic Park is so good!!!

    FANTASTIC CHOICE!!!

  80. David Potter says:

2008 is going to be horrible for my wallet. :)

  86. Eduardo Morales says:

FINALLY, THE BIG T-REX HONCHO GETS HIS DUE! CAN’T WAIT FOR THE BOSS AND HIS RAPTOR BUDDIES, TAKE THAT TERMINATOR! WHAT A HOWLING WAY TO BEGIN 2008! SIDESHOW YOU ARE A CLASS ACT! SIGN ME UP!

  87. cap70 says:

  90. david says:

    NICE.

  91. Lando says:

    Yawn…….

  92. jayrod87 says:

Very Nice Sideshow, NOW PLEASE STOP TAKING ALL MY MONEY, LOL

  93. Feliz says:

Thank you! Thank you! SS. I was hoping this moment would could after you had Jurassic Park in you new Licence Poll earlier last year.

  94. L.S. Ramos says:

Well, that is just downright neato.

This is going to be pretty sweet, and It’s nice seeing Sideshow pursuing more general-interest movie licenses. Here’s to a new year and many more out there licenses.

Now bring on the 1/6 scale T-Rex :P

  95. Anonymous says:

Thank you! Thank you! SS. I was hoping this moment would could after you had Jurassic Park in you new Licence Poll earlier last year.

  96. Robb B. says:

Though I am wondering if this would include a JP4 license, which is supposed to be going into production soon. (If it’s not already.) That one’s rumored to have some CRAZY stuff in it. Like dino/human hybrid supersoldiers … or something like that. If that’s true … well, then I think they’ve got a little proving themselves to do!

  97. Robb B. says:

Maybe it’s the champagne talking. Or the beer. Or maybe the wine. But …

    YAAAAY!!!

I know the whole point of JP is the dinos, but I’m kind of hoping for some 12″ figures, too. (The dinos are gonna be pricey, I’m sure. Busts, PFs and such. So I’m hoping for some more moderately priced stuff, too.

    YAAAAYY!!

  98. JediWade says:

Until I saw the Jurassic Park logo I thought, damn I must really be hungry. I am looking forward to seeing what T-rex will look like. My wife will love it as well.
