    I’m sure that if Sideshow does it,it will be coool! but,”I’m sorry” none of the characters mentioned above are GIJOE. The only true GIJOE was the one that stood 11 1/2″ tall and wore a scar on the right side of his face and was known only as- GIJOE. None of this “YO” stuff. Hey thats just my opinion.

    When it comes emblems like the famous hooded cobra, It would be terrific to see high quality embroidered logo’s on the action figures clothing. Not some cheap looking iron-on. Though…that may be asking for too much…(I hope not)

They were cheap and no matter what you did they never broke. Now sideshow licensed them. Now all ill be able to do with them is let them collect dust on my shelf with a “do not touch or Ill break your legs” sign next to it. No offense sideshow but GI joe is a kid thing. And I think Hasbro should have kept the licence for it. No kid has probably even heard of Sideshow Toys. I have to say, unless you make them under $20.00, make them playable and study enough for little Jonny to play with after flushing them down the tollit or tying them to firecrackers than this is pretty much the worst thing Sideshow has every done.

    I am so glad that they are re-releasing one of the first classic action figures. No doubt that there new line action figures are going to surpass generations in quality and style. So many styles of “G.I.Joe’s” out there. There can only be one, congratulations on an upcoming success SideShow!

    The two toys I was crazy for as a kid were Transformers and GI Joe -neither of which I really collect now (the occasional tf sneaks in). But now my wallet is in PAIN. I love Sideshow and how can I pass up the greatest versions of Joe ever?? I can’t. I guess I gotta ask for a raise.

    If its a “realistic” 1/6th line, rather than the statues, I would definitely consider buying them. Looks like I’ll be pulling a lot of overtime this year. And upgrading to that storage unit to hold everything…

    I seriously thought the 12″ starwars line was my downfall but this one took me back to my childhood and pleasent memories of my GI Joes which I still have.Star Wars,Lord of the Rings and now GI Joe, stand up and take a bow you guys/girls deserve it…….very well done.

    As a child I never was into G.I. Joe, but only until just recently I started collecting the 25th anneversary figures. It was a way to relive that childhood I never had. I watched as many episodes as I could on YouTube.com, along with the movie. I AM HOOKED. This commercial makes me want that new cinematic movie to be released tommorow.

    Dear Sideshow…

    This is a “dream” line for me. I trust you’ll be doing 12′ figures for the line. I hope that you’ll remain faithful to original character designs, in addition to the upcoming movie figures. Please pay attention to the smallest details, with regard to accessories. For example…”Baroness” needs to have glasses & “Destro” needs a real chrome head (a tad larger, because it’s a mask.) And characters with hoods, should have a “real” face underneath.

    And I hope you’ll do some of the more complex figures…like “Bat” androids. I’ve been waiting forever…for someone to do legitimate & serious 12″ figures from this line. I would much prefer these figures over “statues”, because the real clothing, & ability to pose & customize, makes this line terrific. And I’ll hope you’ll continue to offer “exclusive” versions of figures, with special parts. And that you will continue the trend of offering “fan favorite” figures.

    Special weapon packs, scenery, vicious animals & other nasty critters would be welcome additions to the line. And plenty of Cobra baddies please. Thank you-

    I’m a great GI Joe Fanatic, however I always looked at Sideshow as being a leader in Hollywood related figures. I would have preferred to see if Sideshow would Continue or should I say finish what they started in the Vanhelsing Line….A way cool Werewolf and Incredible looking Vampire Bat Dracula that would have been fantastic and unsurpassed in the PF versions. This is probably why the Vanhelsing figure is not yet sold out…..The following would have been better if they were offerred those key characters.

    With the quality and talent of the Sideshow sculptors, this line of GI Joes should be Kick-A**! Maybe a line of TALKING Joes is planned?! I don’t suppose we would be so lucky that these new figures will have the “fuzzy”, realistic buzz-cut hair as did some of the later Hasbro GI Joe figs? This takes me back to my own childhood - LOVED the GI Joe! What ever SS has in store, I can’t wait for the 17th!

    it is possible it is covergirl, but….they had to have shown baroness in there she is too well known…all fanboys know the sexy baroness!!…I don’t think they could have come up with a full on baroness leather outfit right away….plus I don’t think covergirl wears leather tight stretch pants. She is too obscure of a character to use her right away….unless they stick her in the movie alot…unlikely though. Bring em on!!!

    Good move by both companies.
    HASBRO:
    1)can focus on 3-3/4″ and not split time/R&D with a 12″ creation team.
    2)12″ RAH had lack-luster sales with the 90’s Hall of Fame line and subsequent line from 2002-05, because they were too “kid oriented”. Remember the 90’s massive sonic sound guns, and the odd character choices in 2004 with Coil Crusher and Sand Scorpion figures. They sucked. Hasbro should have stayed more militaristic.
    3)should have received money for the license so they turned a profit without making a single toy.
    SIDESHOW:
    1) takes another major step in “street cred” among the toy industry. Kudos to them for being able to pull an in-house brand from Hasbro.
    2) will not make the same mistake as Hasbro. Their line looks very militaristic appealing to even the vintage 12″ collectors.
    3) probably got the license relatively cheap since Hasbro knows 12″ is a tough market, but SS could make a killing with the movie coming out to boost sales among new adult collectors that won’t buy regular “kiddie toys”.

    I’m cautiously optimistic. I do hope sideshow is “revamping” Joe to sideshow standards.
    Star Wars line as an example. If so, bring it on. Please leave the clumky toy figure at the door.

    Great way to introduce a new line! Sideshow has done such a great job with the Star Wars line I can’t wait to see what they will do with a GI Joe line.
