Product Backstory

When a down-on-his-luck robot-boxing promoter Charlie and his estranged son search a junkyard for parts to fix up mostly destroyed competitors, an accident leaves 11-year-old Max dangling over a deep pit from the arm of a buried robot. Called Atom, the machine once served as a sparring bot, able to take, but not dish out, tremendous damage. Max, an unwanted responsibility to Charlie, empathizes with the discarded Atom and insists that he be rescued from his earthen resting place, cleaned up and given a second chance.

Max fits Atom with spare parts that allow him to accept voice commands in the ring but soon discovers the sparring machine has the unusual ability to mirror movements as well. Relying on Charlie's boxing knowledge, the two outcasts train the scrap heap survivor in the finer points of technique and movement, allowing him to take on larger and stronger foes. Against all odds and armed with Max's belief in the trio's ability to win, the discarded machine shows panache and is able to win a few bouts. Atom's resilience, Charlie's boxing knowledge and Max's brashness earn the unheralded bot a shot at the seemingly untouchable champion Zeus; a match that brings a measure of redemption for them all, and Atom the title of 'The People's Champion'.

Magnificent!!!

Just got mine and really love it. Very detailed piece. Keep up the good work. No regrets on this piece what so ever, though I have to fly half way across the world for it. Well worth it. Definitely must have.
