Where all of these figures fall down is the hard plastic boots. It makes posing the figures difficult. Can a softer vinyl or fabric boot be done? I have resorted to making my own cloth and vinyl boots and get a much better display out of these very expensive figures.Again, great figures, but more new characters before re-hashes please!
Very nice piece, more variety is needed. Maybe a sketch contest from your fans would make it easier, then have a vote from the rest of us, then make the winers.
Surprised not not see the inclusion of the Homing device that Obi-Wan threw at Slave One and the standard Jedi micro Binoculars that was used in the filming of Episode II but was actually cut from a Geonosis scene.
Sideshow, why are you not focusing on characters you HAVEN’T done? Why not a Lando or a hoth rebel trooper? You could do a line of Hoth characters!
Sideshow, I see you still have some Endor rebel soldiers in stock. Can I throw an idea your way. If you make more Endor 12″ I’m sure the soldiers would sell out faster. As of now, you have nothing to go along with them. How about a Biker Scout, Endor Luke, Leia and Han, Chewy etc…

i love your amazing figures sideshow me and my brother collect them avidly but may i suggest you should make a count dooku and a general grieveous you would make a hell of alot of money and there isn any good 12 inch replicas of either of 2 such great star wars characters but thank you for this im sure we will buy it in the future

Ki-Adi Mundi is a step in the right direction….. while I LOVE episode II obiwan, i already have an obiwan and have to wait 6 more months for you to come out with a new figure….. Shaak Ti???? she was portayed by a model, i mean, come on who wouldnt buy that??? Saesee Tiin? he’s highly recognizable…. LuminaraUnduli, Quinlan Vos, I’d even buy a little 5 inch tall yoda… i own all the jedi you currently make and i want more….. please, for christmas!
Sideshow, how about a tattoine creature pack with jawas and a tusken raider. You can make the packaging similar to the Emperor and Palpatine 2-pack. On one side have a tusken raider with his gaderffi stick and desert sniper rifle and on the other side of the box include 2 jawas with the weapons and accessories they used in the movies. That would be an awesome creature pack!
Great! Now give us AOTC Anakin, Count Dooku and Yoda.
After they, give us Chewbacca, RD-D2, C-3PO, Boba Fett, Greedo, Tusken, Luke (X-Wing Pilot), Snowtrooper, Scoutrooper, Tie Pilot, Lando, Yoda…

We NEED: Chewie, Yoda, Tarkin, Lando, Mace, Padame, Young Anakin, Jabba, Jedi Luke, Dooku, Jango, Emperor, Young Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and yes Jar Jar—-all in 1/4 scale!!!! Yes!!
This one is good but what I would really like to see is:
- count dooku
- yoda
- episode I obi-wan
- episode III preggo padme with exclusive interchangable regular and “force choke” head and a force choke had for light or dark side anakin( gave that one a lot of thought)
- ahsoka tano
- R2-D2 and C3PO
great looking figure, but looks too much like the episode 3 obi. this is now the 4th obi in the line. how about some of the undone core characters like chewy, r2 and c3?

At last side show is making more central caracters. I would like to see a Lando or if we are in episode II a count dooku
I agree with Migster in that we need a Count Dooku (exclusive item - Holographic Death Star Plans). As far as classic Star Wars goes, i would love to see Tarkin, Veers, Bespin Lando, ROTJ Palpatine or even an Imperial Dignitary. And yes, AOTC Obi-Wans jedi garb needs to be a little more beige. Good stuff SSC.
The weekend before this figure was announced I was rearranging a new display for my SW 12″ figures (I can only display a few at a time, alas) and I said to myself, “Hmm.. they have the Ep II Obi-Wan head sculpt done and the Jedi robes all figured out; it sure would be easy to release an Ep II Obi-Wan.” And now here it is!
Obi-Wan is my absolute favorite character, so I’m thrilled to see this. All the complainers can keep on complaining, but I’ll take my Ep II Obi-Wan and make room for it in my small display. Thankyouverymuch.
Now all I need is Ep I Obi-Wan! *hinthinthint*

I hate to be one of those overly detail-orientedly focused nerds, but isn’t his outer tunic more beige colored?
Also, we needs us an Ep 1 Obi Wan. Can’t get enough of the ol’ Benmeister.
Now this is the best looking Jedi 12-inch figure I have seen so far. Episode II Obi is my favorite Obi-Wan.

Cool! You can take this Obi-Won display alone and the Ep III Obi Won and display him dueling Anakin, I like to have all the diffrent variations and characters to display the diffrent story lines. Excellent guys good job as always.

Sideshow, your 12-inch figures are great! However, why do you keep releasing different versions of the same character when there are plenty of new characters which are yet to receive the 12-inch treatment? This figure will be the 4th Obi-Wan version…..why not C3PO, R2D2, General Grievous, Asoka Tano, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian & other Jedi including Yoda, Yaddle, Luminara etc.? Come on Sideshow, how about more figures which haven’t been done yet!!!!!
now this one looks great but will you make an obi-wan episode I if not how about ahsoka from the clone wars would be great, or even yoda or some droids, maybe other jedi from from the council. just something to look forward to, but back to this one very great detail you still got it sideshow. keep it up!!!
This is great! Since I have a limited budget, I’ve deceided to only collect the “Militaries of Star Wars” line and any Obi-wan Kenobi figures that are produced… so now all I need is and Episode I Obi-wan.
Oh, and give us some Clone Commanders, starting with Cody please. And while I’m thinking about it, a Snowtrooper and a Scout Trooper.
Sideshow, ya know the left hand sculpt of the Premium Format Anakin? That should be a new hand sculpt included with all the 12″ jedi from now on. It is THE representin’ hand for invoking the Force.

I just wish the offering rate would slow down a little. Too much good classic figures to be oggling the prequel stuff. With that being said, good looking figure.
As much as I love you products I really have to pass on Obi here. With things the way they are don’t you think the timing for a $70 rehash is a bit off? Don’t get me wrong it’s a great looking figure but not for me.
I’ll probably get it even though I just received the Clone Wars version last week. Anakin Episode II would be nice now.
By the way…this version of obi wan is more cooller than the episode 3…Keep it up sideshow…Beat Medicom

An easy figure to make, since all you had to make were the saber dart and boots. I hope they change his tunic. Not to be too nerdy but it was different in Ep II and Ep III.
(Sigh) Still waiting for an EU like Mara Jade, Cade Skywalker, Deliah Blue, Darth Talon, Draco, Krieg, Vader’s apprentice….

So many times we see lines burnt out because the companies choose characters that could have waited awhile and then when they dont sell well, its the “markets” falult. Case in point, Unleashed. I could go on.. Titanium… at any rate, this is a nice looking figure but with that basic Jedi body and this economy, it’s to much to ask for just a re-hashed head. There are several core characters that should righfully have been ahead of this one… then a line goes bust and people are left with an “incomplete” line of something. Not saying Sideshow is going bust or that the line is dying but this is a good way to hurt it. At least there are only 1000 of them. Han in Carbonite rules!!!!!

Again, very nice but will hold off unless they lower the price. The other posters are right, time for other characters. I have to be picky on what to spend my money on now that Wall St. has changed my collecting habit. We just got a General Kenobi.

Need to add Dooku and a host of other jedi and sith Sideshow. Just think of all the jedi that appeared in AOTC during the arena battle with Dooku looking on. I would love to see some female jedi! Thanks and keep up the good work.

It looks good but it’s not terribly different from the other two Ewan Obi Wans.
I love it, but since it is all old parts, can’t they get the price lower?? If they did, I would buy it, but I just bought the Clone Wars Obi Wan (head) and already have the ROTS Obi Wan (body). It breaks my heart to pass on such nice SW items.
this is a pass for me i’m afraid as i have episode 3 obi wan and episode 4 i would like to see count dooku and more aliens , sam wessel ? chewbacca? senate guard ? emperor’s guard to go with palpatine ,sidious two pack ? x wing pilot ? more troopers more toopers more troopers as my first love is the armoured figures and sideshow need more armour !!!!!
Though Ben is my favorite Jedi mainstay I would like to see a new character done. This is a smart choice by Sideshow to reuse a head sculpt to keep production costs down on a new figure though sort of a cop out. Definitely need an Episode I Obi Wan and an E II Anakin and please get the bodies tightened up. They are way too loose. The E III Anakin headsculpt is not that good. Gonna cancel one of my Stormtroopers to get this one .

Why is it that when a new sideshow figure is revealed people always have something negative to say about it? Personally i love all the SW 12″ figures sideshow has produced and hope they keep bringing on more in the future, but to all those people wanting other main characters, just wait it takes time for them to make them because they want to get it perfect for us customers look at the darth vader, that took ages because they wanted to get him right. Good for you sideshow, thanks for all your excellent figures.
Wow, it’s like you’re reading my mind Sideshow! I was hoping you would make an Obi-Wan Kenobi from Episode II, and now you are! The exclusive Kamino dart from Jango Fett is okay. But we really need to have an extra alternate head for Obi-Wan. His soaking wet head with slicked back wet hair from when he battled Jango Fett! Now that would seriously ROCK as the exclusive item! I could live without the tiny Kamino dart. But I’d LOVE the extra head. Just like you guys did for the recent Indiana Jones 1:6 scale figure. Thanks Sideshow. Now we need a “padawan learner” Obi-Wan Kenobi from Episode I!
how about some of the creatures of star wars? how many Obi and luke and hans are we going to have to endure before something good?? How about the 2 in the background of the preview for instance? they would make a great 2-pack. ZzzzZzZzz
As a fellow Star Wars collector since 1977, I have come across many items in my time. That being said, I wanted to express to Sideshow that in my opinion, nothing compares to your attention to detail, wide selection of products and especially your customer service. I love this Obi-Wan! Please keep them coming!

This is really nice but I don’t collect SW. I think SW collector’s shouldn’t complain so much and be glad that this line is getting so many figures. Be a LotR fan and see what you get.
Only items missing now are: EP II Anakin, EP I Obi-Wan, and EP I Anakin. Then the circle is complete.

I know a lot of people are going to talk trash on you for giving us the same Clone Wars General headsculpt with the Ep III clothes, but since I have both of those and like them as they are, I’m very glad you did this. Excellent choice. I also hope EpII Anakin and Dooku are coming soon.
