  1. Megatron's Matrix says:

I’d love to win one of these…Awesome Show SideShow!!!

  2. Joe G says:

Long gone is the happy hero of the 80’s… But this is the Duke that should have always been, a hardened leader that no one can touch. Great choice Sideshow! I am anxiously awaiting the pre-order…

  3. Carlos says:

I seen Duke at comic-con and ordered him on the spot!!!! continue to make these Joe’s and Ill keep my money going to Sideshow!!! Now that hasbro is busy doing movie figures , Im glad Sideshow has come to the rescue!! Maybe you guys should hook up with mattel and help them with there superman movie classic of christopher reve!!!! Please call them.. Im sure you will sellout !! p.s. make a michael jackson figure!! buy make it different than hot toys versions already made!! thanks

  4. SSG Allen says:

Personally, of all the First Sergeants to Command Sergeant Majors I’ve known and deployed with, this is generally what their faces look like after 3 to 5 combat tours. Although, I can’t picture Duke as much of a whiskey drinker. Perfect Sculpt Sideshow! Don’t change a thing! But, of course, continue to perfect the uniform and kit to afford the most durability possible, and please be sure to include a way to secure the loose straps. The “Billy Sole: Predator” figure came with a strip of mock OD 90mph tape that you could cut and form at your own discretion to “custom-rig” straps and gear.

  5. Kevin says:

This is looking to be quite an awesome figure, but I do agree that he “looks” a little too distressed, and that the velcro holding his name, and U.S. Army tags are just for the prototype pix, and not the actual toy. So, now we have Snake-Eyes, Cobra Commander, Cobra Soldier, Storm Shadow, and now Duke. Two Joes, and three Cobras, all “guys”! Since we need another Joe to even the score, & break the plastic “Sausage Fest” give us Scarlett!!!

  6. chato says:

Great Figures Two Requests Bring On FIREFLY and ZARTAN!

  7. Jr. says:

The exclusive part is the binoculars.

  8. Widgit says:

Fantastic! A great sculpted expression for the determined, experienced, and always vigilant Top Sergeant of the GIJoe team. This takes all the best elements from all the media of GIJoe. Hawk may give out the orders but Duke has to keep ‘em alive. That’s a considerable demand if your special forces unit consists of the best of the best professionals who do their jobs no matter what the risk. I think this expression keeps an acceptably stern yet wary outlook. Please Sideshow, make sure THIS exact look transfers to the final figures! No sloppy or poor paint surprises!

  9. Nick says:

would like to know what the exclusive part is…
not even a clue in the pic. :(

  10. colin says:

    i want it 2 day

  11. Tim says:

I like this one. He looks like a young Lee Marvin. Look at his eyes. Good job, SS. Nice accessories.

  12. jsternquist says:

The expression is great for a hard-nosed 1st Sgt. and I think Sideshow has depicted my favorite Joe perfectly… Can’t wait till the 31st!

  13. Rudy J says:

This was almost a sure thing for me, but the face is a bit cartoony, no?

  14. section-z says:

Is this the same head they used for Thrawn?

  15. robert says:

he looks awesome but since i’m not part of sideshow i can’t preorder him he looks good better than any other sideshow except for snake eyes

  16. Mannequins says:

A flag on a pole will be a very good Exclusive!

  17. Snakeeyes says:

Great expression, however he looks a bit old. What’s the exclusive? Binoculars? A flag that goes on his shoulder? (That was the sticker from the mail order, not available on the carded figure).

  18. Mike K. says:

Nice. I look forward to placing my pre-order, but the facial expression is a little dour. It looks more suitable for General Hawk than Duke. The head shape is a little too blocky. He doesn’t have to be all smiles like the original ARAH figure, but something a little less severe might in order.

  19. Tom P. says:

I just have one constructive critisism, Sideshow. It looks like the two “placards’ - one with U.S. Army & the other with Duke’s name - are being held in place by a pretty large strip of velcro(relative to the placard size) Hopefully, this is just done for the prototype and not production. In my opinion, the velcro should be considerably smaller, or the placards should be attached in another fashion. Love this little guy so far!

  20. Tom P. says:

YES! Now, I’m lovin this, Sideshow! In my humble opinion, this is what an American Hero like G.I. Joe SHOULD look like! So much better sculpt than anything Mattel did. Of course, as a kid I must confess I loved my Mattel Joes! Excellent masculine portrait - very serious and determined look. He actually has a sort of purpose driven look about him instead of that department store, dead stare mannequin look of the old Joes!
I feel a tear forming in the corner of my eye - don’t know if it’s due to Sideshow’s excellent work on these figures, or because I know I won’t be seeing much of my money after the Comic-Con is over!!

  21. DFC says:

I’m glad that Sideshow is going a different route with the headsculpt. IMHO . . . a modern/redux of Duke would have a determined, grizzled, and intense look instead of the soft/smiling appearance based on the original 3.75″ figure and Marvel Comics version. I’m actually pleased with this. I hope the final production version is spot on based on the picture.

  22. Erick says:

Can’t wait for the “Snake through the heart” Exclusive! :D

  23. ruderodian says:

Love that we’re getting Duke. I do agree with Leroy.. I wish Duke didn’t look so sad, or in distress. Maybe it’s the lighting. I look forward to seeing more pics of Duke. Yo Joe!

  24. ActionFigs.com says:

Yeah… I want to see the rest as well…

  25. CollectionStation.com says:

    I’m getting him!

  26. Anakin Skywalker says:

    LOVE IT! ^_^

    YO JOE!

  27. nyklas78 says:

    Yeah

  28. Conrad Hauser says:

    Who is that? Duke Nukem?

  29. Leroy says:

Nice, cant wait to see the rest but he does look a little sad.
