Sideshow Collectibles Announces New License – The Fly

The 1986 film release of The Fly won the Academy Award® for Best Makeup, as well as the Saturn Awards for Best Makeup and Best Horror Film, with the Best Actor Saturn Award going to the film’s star Jeff Goldblum. When scientist Seth Brundle uses himself as the test subject in a matter teleportation experiment, his DNA is crossed with that of a household fly. Brundle’s genetic code slowly mutates until he becomes a monstrous hybrid. The BrundleFly meets a bitter demise, but not before he is able to seduce the lovely reporter, Veronica. When Veronica gives birth to the hybrid Brundle’s son, the mutated genes are passed on and MartinFly emerges. At first bitterly exacting revenge on the scientists who raised him for research, Martin is able to use the same teleportation experiment that began his father’s demise to undo the mutation and put an end to the hybrid fly gene.
