Q.Has there been any talk about more Friday the 13th 12-inch figures?

For the moment, we are only working in 1:4 scale for the modern horror characters. We re-evaluate our planning and product line lists frequently, and we will inquire with our development teams about the prospect of returning to Horror in 1:6.

Q.Just wanted to know why the new Terminator Premium Format’s eye on the exclusive switch out head doesn’t light up, it should be a necessity. Can you put it under consideration just like what happened with the Thanos and Mistress Death diorama where the light up features were added way down the line in the design department? If not why?

Sideshow is always actively working on product enhancements, sometimes right up until a product ships. We enjoy the chance to add additional features when possible, like the Thanos and Mistress Death. In some cases, we haven’t sorted out the final engineering or features when a product is solicited, but we continue to work at it [...]

Q.Regarding the Terminator and Predator line: Seeing as you guys where the distributor for the HCG 1:2 Endoskeleton. Have you guys ever considered bringing us a 1:2 scale of full Arnie in his leathers half-man half machine optional shotgun, or a 1:2 scale of the original Predator w/ an optional bio helmet?? They would sell like hot cakes!!! Finally, as there will be an original Terminator Premium Format coming soon please tell us you have a 1:1 bust of Arnie with removable gargoyle glasses from the original Terminator!! There are too many crappy homemade jobs of this floating on eBay. Please guys give us Terminator fans the 1:1 bust we are all dreaming of, and pump us a decent size original predator WITH bio helmet!! At the very least please reassure us with some answers to these questions. Cheers!!!

Oh, we’ve done more than consider. You’ll be a happy camper, but bear in mind that our development process does take time, so we can’t offer you immediate gratification. Reassurance, indeed.

Q.Is the Sam Flynn Light Disc still going to be produced? We saw a short video on the production blog a while ago and nothing since. Can you let us know if it’s still coming, and when it might be available for pre-order?

We are in fact developing lots of Tron: Legacy products. Not only the Sam Flynn Light Disc set, but also a 1:4 scale Lightcycle and an as-of-yet-unannounced 1:4 scale villain too. Because the light features are so essential to Tron, we need additional time to work out all of the engineering and functionality on our [...]

Q.Now that Shredder is on his way, any plans to produce a Master Splinter comiquette? Everyone dreams of having a pet rat who is smart enough to learn martial arts, and it would be nearly as amazing to have one such rat that mutated into human scale. Since that’s just crazy talk, I think a 1:6 scale statue would please many fans, TMNT’s and Sideshow’s alike. Keep up the great work!

We’re in the midst of discussions about how best to follow Shredder, but nothing has been decided as of yet. Rats, feet, trikes… all on the table. No love for Bebop or Rocksteady? Krang?

Q.Just wondering if you guys plan on making a Jason Voorhees 1:6 scale from part 5 and 8? They are the only 2 movies you haven’t made figures for and it’s been ages since you last released a Jason toy.

For the moment, we are only working in 1:4 scale for the modern horror characters. We re-evaluate our planning and product line lists frequently, and we will inquire with our development teams about the prospect of returning to Horror in 1:6.

Q.Any plans to do further KISS band statues?

Nope, but we would certainly change our minds if the KISS Army decided to knock on our doors. By the way, Family Jewels is a GREAT show.

Q.I would like to know if in the new LOTR statues line, Eomer and Mouth of Sauron are being designed with or without steed. Thanks!

Designed, yes, Eomer without Steed, and Mouth… we cannot state definitively yet.

Q.Any chance that we will see a kick arse Episode II or III lightsaber wielding Yoda (by himself) Premium Format?

Kick arse Yoda, check. Ep II or III, check. In various scales, check. HOWEVER, certain contractual obligations prohibit us from selling small characters in 1:4 scale singly, which is the reason that we’ve always chosen to integrate Yoda into larger compositions.

Q.Will Sideshow ever make a Premium Format Figure of Daniel Craig as James Bond?

Sideshow is not currently an active James Bond licensee, so it’s highly uncertain if a Daniel Craig could see the light of day.
