Q.After seeing the release of the Alien egg prop replica from AVP, would there be a chance of you guys making Maquettes of the Predators from the movie as well right?

Most definitely, yes.

Q.Is there any possibility with all of the success you’ve had with Hellboy for a Maquette? Please tell me it’s gonna happen!!!

Sideshow dreams of working with Mignola on a Hellboy comic series, and other Mignola goodness. Put in a good word for us, will ya?

Q.Just wondering, will there be a chance that you’ll make another Cyclops PF in his modern uniform?

We don’t have any plans to return to Cyclops in Premium Format in the near future, but it’s always possible! For the moment, there are MANY other characters that have our attention.

Q.Will your team answer a couple of questions please? Any chance on these Marvel characters ever being made: The Stranger, The Celestials, Morg, Drax the Destroyer, Infinity? You could really make me happier then any statue collector out there if you did these. Busts are cool only if they are as badass as your Galactus Legendary Scale Bust; which I own. Thanks for your time! Your devoted (possibly number one) fan, if you make least The Stranger lol!

We’ll pass along your interest, but most of these characters rank below other, more recognizable names, that arguably ‘need’ to be done first.

Q.Hello Sideshow, I know you guys just released some new Captain America stuff, but I was thinking that it would be really be cool to have a mini size Cap shield maybe 10″-12″ with a stand, in a metallic form. Maybe some sort of aluminum or something. I love the full size versions but they are just too big and too expensive. It would look great displayed next to or with the new statues. I think it would sell great as well. Just a suggestion from a huge SSC fan.

Great suggestion, and we’re thinking along the same lines. No promises, not yet.

Q.Hi there, with the truly spectacular Conan: The Prize, and Conan Premium Format pieces, not to mention this year’s wonderful looking Vampirella Comiquette and Premium Format pieces, I was just wondering if there is any chance that you guys making a Red Sonja statue? There have been a few made over the years, I know, some even quite nice, but just like with Conan and Vampi, I believe that you fine folks at Sideshow could take the character to a whole new level, whether it be a Conan style diorama, or Vampi style PF or Comiquette. Just as there was room in the market for truly definitive Vampirella and Conan pieces, I think the same could also be said for Red Sonja – whether it be Marvel Comics inspired, Dynamire comics based, or your own artistic take on the character. Any chance? Thanks.

There’s definitely some RED on the horizon!

Q.What will be the next piece of the Dinosauria line? Will we see more T-Rex and Velociraptors? Any possibilities for Deinonychus, Carcharodontosaurus, Allosaurus, Tarbosaurus, Ceratosaurus? Sea monsters such as megalodon, mosasaurus or Predator X? Pleistocene-era animals: smilodon, short faced ear?

GREAT list! You should be happy with what we have up our sleeves!

Q.Hello guys! When will we expect to see the Deadpool Comiquette or Premium Format?

Sooner than later! Probably early 2012, by the look of things.

Q.Hi Sideshow, being an older aged collector, would you ever consider doing such characters from classic films such as Errol Flynn as Robin Hood or Captain Blood? Also, some faves of mine would be Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung! Since you did Bruce Lee these would be great! Also how about a Snake Plissken? A forgotten about Marvel babe, Domino would be really great too. Thank you!

You have excellent taste, sir! We don’t have any active plans for Flynn, or any of the Asian cinema greats, but it doesn’t mean that we aren’t interested. We simply have too many good things to work on! Domino HAS appeared in our planning, and is likely to get some quality treatment at some point.

Q.Hey Sideshow, I love your statues! I am collecting many lines in Premium Format style. I am movie and gamer freak. There are some games where I want to see Premium Format figures from. Is there any chance that we can see a Premium Format from Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell), Big Daddy and little sister (Bioshock), and The NANO suit from Crysis.

All good suggestions, and all games that we have looked at (or continue to look at). Keep your fingers crossed, but be sure to take deep breaths!

Q.With Episode I being released in 3D in theaters in 2012, will there be any Episode I Sideshow representation? A 1:6 Jar Jar Binks or Anakin Skywalker would be very welcome, and it was said in the Indiana Jones Q&A that a 1:6 “kid” body was under development for Short Round that could be used for lil’ Annie.

We’re doing a LOT of work for release in 2012 that represents Phantom Menace very well, including the Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, Destroyer Droids, and Obi-Wan. Our development on the Short Round has hit a snag, so the Annie likelihood may be a bit further off. But yeah, you can be sure there’ll be [...]

Q.Hello SSC, I love/collect your Star Wars 1:6 scale line, particularly the Jedi figures. BUT, one of my issues with them has always been the supposed “force” hands. They seem just like regular relaxed hands. SO my question is, is it possible for future Jedi figures (male and female) to have more open force hands that really make it seem like they’re actually using the force with some power behind it rather than just the Jedi mind-trick wave? For some more reference, look at the final battle Anakin vs Obi-wan scene in Episode III while they’re in the control station at Mustafar. Thanks!

Future Jedi figures will be entirely NEW releases. They’ll be more tricked out, and we’re working on some new ways to illuminate lightsabers, some things that look very promising. Force push hands, yup, check.
