Not to be confused with bronzed celebrities from the Jersey Shore, Wookiees are a highly intelligent species hailing from the planet Kashyyyk. Long-time Sideshow fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of a Chewbacca collectible, and we’re happy to announce that our artists have nearly completed the  recreation of this iconic behemoth. Stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks!

    Yes we need an update on this please. Please make the base with enough space for an autograph as I’m planning on getting it sign by Peter Mayhew just like I have done in the past with all my premium format figures, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, etc. thanks

    No. He said that they delayed it because they don’t want to put a chewbacca that looks like the chewbacca action figures in the stores and that they need to find the right type of fur that you can brush.

    I went to the San Diego comic-con and went to the sideshow collectables place and was talking to one of the guys that worked there. He said it will be sixth scale and premium format and that they want to have the right fur on it.

    To me, this looks like a sculpt – maybe a bust or PFF. If this IS a 1/6 scale figure, I sure hope the folks at Sideshow discovered a way to create Chewie with a faux fur material and not just a soft pvc sculpted fur.

    I think that the majority of fans want the 1/6 scale of Chewie.I have been waiting since Sideshow first got the Star Wars licence.Hopefully all of our wishes will be granted.

    I’m guessing this is a Premium Format (though I hope he’s from the 12 inch line). He looks scupted and not ‘furry’, but it’s hard to tell. Can’t wait to see him.

Hey SS, like many of my fellow collectors I am broke and I’m making my 5 and 6 year olds get jobs to help me pay for all the stuff you are coming out with. Keep up the good work. Of course like other Predator fans I am getting the masks to keep the collection up to date. I would love to see a set-up like your Darth Vader Life-Size Bust that reveals his face. What do ya think?
