Interesting stuff. Ever since reading Tales from Jabba's Palace (one of the all-time best Star Wars reads, at least to me) during a 1995 flight to New Zealand, I've been wanting to see something done with the base, anonymous heavies/guards like Gamorreans. This massive executioner is a fine example of a stock character type modified to become distinctive and memorable. The plethora of scars (including very crude stitches and a scarrification-tattoo) and detailed little ornaments of bone, leather, and fur really add individuality and character. I recognize his posture (leaning on what appears to be a finely-crafted and well-maintained vibro-greatax, rather than the very crude, smaller Clan Groogrun vibro-axes widely utilizized by more common Gamorreans) as that of one who has become so comfortable and familiar with his weapon that it is has become a versatile tool that is almost an extension of his own body; despite this apparent casualness, his eyes betray him as a coldly calculating killer, prepared to attack at any time.
Two strong suggestions, though. First, the alternate head roaring does not fit at all with the rest of the statue. It looks completely out of place and has to go (unless it is actually supposed to be him yawning, which is quite possible); I can't say it any nicer. Second, I would change a bit the part of the horned skull contacting the greatax. It looks like the ferrule on the top end of the greatax is penetrating the skull; I assume this ought not be the case because there shouldn't be an existing socket on that part of the skull, and there seem to be no shatters or fractures indicating that the skull was breached.
