The rock base looks very nice and the pose is great too. The glossy paint kinda sucks but my big complaints are the battery fixed in the base and he is crazy ripped, it just looks silly. Hopfully they smooth him out a bit.
Never been a fan of Green Lantern and surely not today after the movie but this statue isn’t bad at all. The Exclusive is even a bit impressive. I would display this if I had it but as said… not a fan.
Let me start by commending the artists for not forcing cloth onto a GREEN LANTERN statue. The metallic green is consistent with the animated series and movies, and it makes sense given the character’s power ring. I wouldn’t mind if the black parts of his costume were matte, but I’m sure the artists must have tried that look and preferred the glossy paint. My only issue is how GL’s power battery is incorporated into the base. Why is it encased in the rock formation? Doesn’t make much sense. I would’ve preferred it be held by Hal Jordan in a more museum pose like Batman and Superman. That being said, it’s not nearly as bad as people are lamenting and the price is reasonable. I’m going to be pre-ordering this bad boy in Brightest Day or Blackest Night.
For all of you people complaining about the final look, if you would have taken the time to actually look at the pictures before just putting a comment down for attention you would have noticed that at the bottom of every picture it states “PROTOYPE SHOWN- FINAL PRODUCT SUBJECT TO CHANGE”. Now you can all calm down, either way its an awesome piece! And like always great job Sideshow.
Love it. Nothing should be changed. I cant wait to add it to my collection.
Very unfortunate, but this is looking like a pass. Those ribs/abs and back look ridiculous!
The figure looks great. As for people complaining about the paint…the black could have been matte but i would be disapointed with a fabric suit. The new gl’s dont wear cloth suits. This is an A- design imo.
its the same figure spider man back in black :(
I don’t understand the complaints about the suit…people would seriously rather have fabric? In my opinion, this piece looks great the way it is. I will b eadding this to my collection. Great job Sideshow…now, where is the Flash?
Really too bad that with all the complaints about this figure SS did nothing at all to help make it fit in with the other DC figures. And his Back looks ridiculous like a checker board.I really wanted this GL PF but it just does not work.I’M very sad.
Why would it be fabric? Green Lantern’s don’t wear fabric suits. Why is his suit not made of hard light energy?? It should be shiny but also glowing!
Wish SSC used the same design fabric as the Bucky PF. The black gloss looks overpowering. Needs to have a matte finish to it.
Although….I must agree with Mark. If Superman and Batman have fabric….why not Hal? Still one to own.
Why didn’t SS fix this? Where is the fabric? :(
I can’t wait!!!! I’ve been waiting a long time for this piece… Very excited!!! SS….you guys are Awesome!!!
I know alot of users complained about the shiny part, anychance they will make it less shiny?
