Death Star petition demands a response from the White House

“Don’t be too proud of this technological terror you’ve constructed.” – Darth Vader
Last week a petition to build a Death Star by 2016 gained more than 25,000 signatures on We the People, a White House website. According to the website’s regulations it’s enough to merit a response from President Obama’s administration.
The petition reads, “By focusing our defense resources into a space-superiority platform and weapon system such as a Death Star, the government can spur job creation in the fields of construction, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defense.”
Folks at the economics blog Centives claim this project will cost 13,000 times the world’s GDP.

Guys I have to say after getting my first SS PFF,Darth Maul with mech legs I,m reliving my youth and that means big dreams the Death Star could be made no matter what scaling issue crops up and seeing those green LED,s on the main gun light up WOW not to mention all the other white lights covering that baby it could even open to show a lighted reactor core and never mind the x wings and tie fighter miniatures buzzing in the corridor like features what a Star Wars centerpiece
If the Death Star is at least 1 mile in height, a 1:6 scale version would be approx. 844.8 feet tall! Would you offer free domestic shipping on that bad boy?
Nothing compares to the power of The Dark Side Of Force…
So how many signatures do we need for you guys to make us a 1:6 scale death star?
I am a Canadian but I do find their lack of faith disturbing!
