Daria Returns to MTV, Lucasfilm Debunks Star Wars Rumors, and More!

According to ABC News, Lucasfilm has stated that there are still multiple Star Wars films in development that have not been announced. This news follows inaccurate reports that Lucasfilm put future Star Wars films on hold following the box office under-performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story. The next Star Wars film, Episode IX, will open in theaters on December 20th, 2019.  Star Wars Collectible fans rejoice!


Actress Jodie Foster is currently in talks to star in the FX adaptation of the comic book series Y: The Last Man. Foster is being considered to star in the role of Jennifer Brown, the mother of the main character Yorick Brown. Y: The Last Man tells the story of a man who survives the death of all other male mammals on Earth.


MTV has announced its plans to reboot its popular animated series Daria. The original Daria series began in the late 90s as a spinoff of the animated Beavis and Butt-Head show. Written by Grace Edwards, Daria & Jodie will focus on the morbid, monotone teenager and her close friend as they take on the world.


Cartoon Network has released a special preview of its upcoming animated crossover between Adventure Time and Minecraft. The partnership between Cartoon Network and Mojang was announced last summer, and the crossover spawned special game content, and now an animated episode. Adventure Time’s Minecraft special, called Diamonds and Lemons, is set to air on July 20th on Cartoon Network.
