Doctor Who Gets October 7th Premiere and New Timeslot, American Horror Story: Apocalypse Trailer, and More!

Actress Yvette Nicole Brown has joined the cast of Disney’s live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp. According to Variety, Brown will play Aunt Sarah, the owner of two troublemaking Siamese cats who play a role in getting Lady muzzled. Tessa Thompson was previously announced as the voice of Lady, and the movie remake is expected to launch on the DisneyPlay streaming service sometime in 2019.


The BBC has announced that the new season of Doctor Who will premiere in October, and the show will be shifting to a Sunday night timeslot. The first episode featuring Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor will be called “The Woman Who Fell To Earth”. Season 11 of Doctor Who will premiere on both the UK and US BBC channels on October 7th.


FX has released a full trailer for American Horror Story: Apocalypse, the next season of the acclaimed horror anthology series. The trailer features a look at returning actors and characters from earlier seasons like Murder House and Coven, as well as series newcomers like Billy Eichner, Billie Lourd, and Joan Collins. American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres September 12th on FX.

Actress Sofia Vassilieva has been cast as Emily Briggs, better known to DC fans as the psionic superhero Looker, in the CW’s Black Lightning Season 2. Vassilieva previously had a guest role in Supergirl Season 3, during the Worldkillers storyline. Black Lightning Season 2 premieres on the CW on October 9th.
