Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Wins at Golden Globes

Last night, the 76th annual Golden Globes took place to celebrate the best of movies and television in 2018. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won Best Animated Motion Picture, and Bohemian Rhapsody won Best Motion Picture Drama. Other winners of the night included Sandra Oh, Darren Criss, Mahershala Ali, and Rami Malek for various lead roles.


HBO Drops 2019 Television Lineup Teaser

During the Golden Globes, HBO released a brief teaser for its upcoming 2019 television lineup, featuring series like True Detective, Big Little Lies, and Watchmen. The teaser also featured a major Stark family moment from the upcoming final season of Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones will return to HBO in April 2019.

Leonardo Nam Joins Swamp Thing Cast

Westworld’s Leonardo Nam has just been cast in the live-action Swamp Thing adaptation. Nam will play CDC specialist Harlan Edwards, second in command to Abby Arcane. His character does seem to have a DC Comics counterpart. Swamp Thing will stream exclusively on DC Universe later this year.


HBO Shows Watchmen Rorschach and Ozymandias Teasers

HBO has released two new teaser videos for the upcoming Watchmen television series. Posted on the show’s official Instagram, the two clips feature a new look at Jeremy Irons as Ozymandias, and the hero Rorschach in his iconic mask. Watchmen is expected to premiere on HBO sometime in 2019.
