Sony Pictures International has released the official trailer for Slaughterhouse Rules, a new horror comedy film from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The film follows a group of students at a British boarding school who have to fight for their lives as a sinkhole appears and brings monsters to their campus. Slaughterhouse Rulez opens in theaters on October 31st in the UK.

Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson is in final negotiations to join courtroom drama film Just Mercy, based on a novel. She will join fellow Marvel Studios alum Michael B. Jordan, who is starring in the picture as Bryan Stevenson, a gifted young lawyer. No details are known about Larson’s role at this time, and the film does not have a release date.


Actress Kiana Madeira has just been cast in a recurring villain role for The Flash Season 5. Madeira will play Spencer Young, a social media influencer who manipulates fears into reality and causes trouble for Team Flash. She will be the show’s own version of the DC supervillain Spin. The Flash returns with new episodes on October 9th on the CW.


Nintendo has announced several new playable characters for its upcoming game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Among the announcements are Simon and Richter Belmont from the Castlevania as well as King K. Rool from Donkey Kong. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will launch for Nintendo Switch on December 7th.
