Star Wars: Resistance Gets a Trailer and Premiere Date, Iron Fist Season 2 Releases Official Trailer, and More!

Disney Channel and Lucasfilm have debuted the first trailer for the upcoming animated series Star Wars: Resistance. Set before the events of The Force Awakens, this series focuses on a young Resistance pilot named Kaz, who has a top-secret mission to uncover the threat of the First Order. Star Wars: Resistance will premiere on October 7th on Disney Channel.

Netflix has released an official trailer for its upcoming Marvel series Iron Fist Season 2. The snappy trailer gives fans a look at improved fight choreography, heightened drama, and a greater sense of danger for Danny Rand, all packed in to a shortened 10-episode season. Iron Fist Season 2 begins streaming on Netflix on September 7th.

Writer Jeremy Slater is currently in talks to adapt Stephen King’s classic novel The Tommyknockers for film. Slater is known for his past work on 2015’s Fantastic Four film and the acclaimed The Exorcist television series. The Tommyknockers is a horror story about a small town in Maine that is transformed by the discover of an old alien spacecraft.


The TNT network has ordered a new limited series called The Angel of Darkness as a sequel to its recent series The Alienist. Both series are based on Caleb Carr’s bestselling novels, and the main cast of the Alienist is set to return, including Daniel Bruhl, Luke Evans, and Dakota Fanning. There is no release date for The Angel of Darkness just yet.
