Terminator and Charlie’s Angels Change Release Dates, The Passage Gets a Premiere Date on Fox, and More!

Walt Disney Studios has released a new special look trailer for the upcoming film Mary Poppins Returns. The clip teases one of the film’s new songs, called “Can You Imagine That?”, penned by the Tony Award-winning duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Mary Poppins Returns opens in theaters on December 19th.

Both Sony Pictures and Paramount Pictures have adjusted the release dates for high-profile upcoming films. Sony will now delay its Charlie’s Angels reboot, and Paramount will move up its Terminator release, so that both films are opening against one another on November 1st.  This news comes after Warner Bros. delayed its Wonder Woman sequel to a 2020 release, freeing up its original November slot.


Actress Mary Chieffo has shared a new image of her Klingon character’s new look from Star Trek: Discovery Season 2. Most notably, Chancellor L’Rell has long hair more commonly associated with the original Klingons, after fans were not pleased with the bald and pale Klingons of Season 1. Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 will premiere on CBS All Access on January 17, 2019.


Fox has released a new extended trailer for its upcoming vampire drama The Passage, based on a best-selling book trilogy. The series focuses on Project Noah, a secret medical facility where scientists experiment with a deadly virus in the hopes of curing all disease. The Passage will premiere on Fox on January 14th, 2019.
